Embrace Your Ambition is a podcast for people trying to pursue their calling and find their passion. This show was made to help people learn that bringing God into your business will lead you to your ultimate breakthrough. We want to empower you to go and accomplish all of your goals and dreams in this life.
From personal experience, I can tell you, that he CAN and he WILL make something out of nothing. So get ready. It's time to stop surviving. And time to start living. It is time to embrace your God given ambition. Let's go!
This is the fifth and final segment of the Unleashing Hope Challenge and today we are focusing on MINDSET. We know that fear can so easily creep in and keep us from reaching our full purpose. We also know the reward that comes from stepping out in faith towards the purpose God has called us to! The Bible is full of people who were given a mission or a dream and felt afraid. To name just one, Moses was afraid when God asked him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, but Moses took ACTION and that is where he moved from God’s promise to God’s provision. Fear is not from God.

Today’s episode is all about getting your feet wet and waiting with action! Waiting on God can be hard, but waiting doesn’t mean sitting still and doing nothing. It’s easy to get impatient and either give up on our dreams or try to take matters into our own hands, settling for something that isn’t God’s full promise for us. So how do we wait well? In this episode, I talk about practical things you can do while you’re waiting for that next piece from God and the importance of saying “yes” to opportunities as they come your way.

We talk about making different kinds of goals to achieve success in different areas of your life. Marcus has some fundamental advice for you and addresses the kinds of obstacles you may face when trying to reach your targets. We also discuss what to do when you're not able to achieve the goals you set and how to re-assess and rebound. Well-crafted goals can help you stay on track and act as mile markers along the path to reaching your ultimate Vision. We're looking back so that we can look forward! Today Marcus and I are talking about honestly assessing 2021 with all of it's wins and losses in order to plan for the future. When talking about assessment, we address two ends of the spectrum that you might fall into: finding it hard to list the wins because you're your own worst critic and glossing over failures because you won't acknowledge that problems exist. Marcus and I share some of our own wins and losses from 2021 and previous years in the hopes that it will inspire you! Honesty with yourself is key in this exercise.

To have a Testimony, there must first be a test. People forget that, and really struggle with keeping hope alive in their hearts when things get hard. Today Marcus and I are going to challenge you to defy the negativity and the well-meaning doubters and find your big, God-sized dream. We're talking about who and what you want to become and the kinds of dreams that are so big that they're only possible with the help of God. It's human to lose hope and feel the absence of hope sometimes, but "With God, all things are possible." (MATTHEW 19:26)
Marcus and I want all of you to try and get back to a place of childlike faith. Children have these big, amazing dreams and believe in their ability to achieve them because the world hasn't told them that they Can't yet. Today on the show we talk about other people's perceptions of your goals and why you might be aiming too small. The American poet Suzy Kassem has a quote that goes: “Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will.” I think that is beautiful and so perfect, because today we're talking about dreams and the fear of failure. Marcus and I give you our thoughts on God's role in our dreams, and we get real with you and share the dreams that live in our hearts. It's always darkest before the dawn. Our job is to trust in God and to find the courage and the resolve to not just overcome the obstacles in our paths, but to embrace them. Today I'll tell you about a few of my own experiences embracing the boulders in my life and the beauty and joy that I have witnessed as a result. In life and in business there are seasons of struggle. The lesson that Marcus and I have to offer you today applies to both, and we hope that it helps you if you are struggling right now.

Marcus and I met while planning the Embrace Your Ambition conference in Denver last year and I truly believe that God placed him in my life to be my partner in this journey we're on: to bring God into people's lives and encourage them to follow their passion. We'll be here every other Monday to inspire, educate, and uplift you and we hope you'll join us as we walk this path that God has laid for us.
