Stan Lee dead at 95. He gave us some great characters, comics, and stories. We can appreciate a good movie, but let's not forget that real men courageously leave an eternal legacy. Not one that faces away with them.
Crazy examples of men following their feelings surround us. If it feels good, then it must be good, right? Ephesians 4 give us courage to stand firm.
Men, do you know who the pastor of your home is? Here's a hint.....it's not the guy you just listened to on Sunday morning. His role is to equip you, not replace you. In fact, he can't. Your job is irreplaceable. Only you can pastor your family the way God designed. Only you can touch their heart as a husband and father.
Men, there's a crazy statistic that you need to know about. Only 4% of today's millenial generation has a Biblical worldview that alters their behavior in the slightest. 96% of our young people are living without a Biblical worldview. The results are devastating our homes, churches, and country.
I truly believe that one of the main reasons we are facing this crisis is that we have totally misunderstood the roles of the church leader and family leader in generational discipleship. BOTH are massively needed.
For generations now, we have experimented with putting all of the responsibility on pastors. Not only has this done a huge disservice to them, it's also destroyed the vital role of the family pastor- you! Are you ready to step up and be your family's pastor? The next generation will reveal our answer.
Men, your manhood is being hijacked not just by your corrupted culture, but by "godless grace" that has crept into the church. Listen to this warning from Jude 3-4:
"Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."
We're not the first generation that has been deceived to tweak grace just enough to now have a license to indulge our flesh. Because, hey our God is always standing ready to lavish us with grace right? It really becomes a very convenient lifestyle. Indulge my flesh all week, ask for forgiveness on Sunday, and then head back to that place where they dish out the grace. When really, we never found God's grace in the first place. Instead we were enticed by a "god-less grace" that Satan has been using for generations quite effectively.
Men, when you find God's grace, here's one way to know that you found the real thing: "God's grace wrecks your wicked heart, leaving you with a godly sorrow that leads to repentance." (2 Cor. 7:8-11) Only then can you embrace God's Grace.
You won't find true courage as a man until you find true sorrow over your sin. Sorrow that only comes as we let the Holy Spirit do his work of convicting our callous heart.
Yes, you are going to fall many times on your journey up, and your God has provided a strong Rope of Grace to save you. His work saves, not yours! But ask the Lord to reveal whether your fall was induced by "god-less grace". If by chance you find that you've been duped, then stop and thank your God, because you just found God's true grace. Courage men!
One of the things I’ve discovered about us men is that we are very busy. The question is if we are busy doing the right things. What we do regularly reflects what we believe deeply. I want to encourage you to spend at least a few minutes on a regular basis with me as we ask the Lord to Re-Courage our Manhood to value the eternal over the earthly.

Wow, so its been awhile since I posted here. My apologies men. It's been quite a journey since we stepped back from pastoring in Oregon. While my heart would love to focus my full efforts on this ministry, my hands have been busy simply providing for my family in this transition…
Did you know I see drastic effects of global warming everywhere? Yep, but I'm not talking about our earthly environment. I'm looking at our eternal environment. We've got "global luke warming" happening everywhere!
Today we notice how perversion has crept into our homes and churches. God never intended for us to see sex as simply for our pleasure. When you do, you miss out on the full blessings that God has for your sexuality.
Today we look at the difference of little boy David's faith as he took down Goliath, VS the faith of King David who was taken down by Bathsheba. Which faith was stronger? The answer might surprise you.
You only have 2 choices. One will come naturally. The other won't. But don't worry, you have a Rope!
If you were to have asked me in my teens, 20's, and even some of my 30's if my manhood needed "re-couraging", I would have said something like, "No, I'm feeling pretty courageous as a man. Thanks anyway. "
