Sounds crazy ... right? Well, there might be a few situations where it's actually beneficial ... when utilized cautiously and appropriate (of course).

Intubate early...intubate often. If it's low-frequency (now) because of low call volumes, then why not force it to be high-frequency through regular training?
We're asked to do a lot...and we're expected to do a lot as EMS administrators...so why not utilize technology to help us capitalize on ROI and value optimization in EMS. After all, "free" doesn't necessarily mean there isn't some sort of "cost"...and really, you get what you pay for!

The UHU is quite objective...but our "average" call isn't...it's subjective. So, why not weight the value (appropriately)?
