Chance Dickerson was raised in Albemarle County, Virginia. He's spent his life learning a variety of art forms from painting to building to making music, the process of which has landed me in a position to influence youth and learn from their experiences. Kolion Troche is from Brooklyn, New York. Originally a student at Monticello High School, after overcoming legal adversity and several transitions to different school systems, he found a home here at Albemarle High School and has been a key figure in the development of the innovative A3House recording studio. After reinventing himself as a role model for his peers, Kolion created his own trajectory towards being a positive influence in his school. He loves writing/recording music, dancing, performing, and encouraging teens to follow their dreams.

Laura Graceffa has been a science teacher at Poughkeepsie Day School in New York where she also now leads the middle school. As an educator she has been passionate about making school keep the learner at the center of education: through lesson design, school space design and fostering a collaborative faculty.

Eric Williams serves as the superintendent of Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) in Virginia. LCPS serves more than 73,000 students in 88 schools. Prior to coming to Loudoun, Dr. Williams was superintendent of the York County School Division, which serves approximately 12,500 students in York County, Va., for six years.
Our guest teaches in a rural, Title 1 school that has changed from a majority white student population to a majority Hispanic and immigrate population. In this segment we talk about how one teacher expands the classroom beyond the various limits these students face.

David Britten is currently superintendent of Godfrey-Lee Public Schools in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, a district where I grew up and attended school. He served twenty-two years in the United States Army retiring with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
