This presentation remembers Mother's Day, 2018, recalling that special day and those in attendance who have gone ahead to be with the Lord.
This Episode centers on the concept of "when Heaven is opened," emphasizing the biblical significance of access between heaven and earth. It references Jacob's dream in Genesis 28, where a ladder symbolizes this access, and connects it to Jesus as the ultimate ladder. The presentation explores instances where heaven is opened, such as Jesus' baptism, the transfiguration, and Pentecost, highlighting the Holy Spirit's manifestation. It also reflects on the need for repentance and preparation to align with God's way, using John the Baptist's ministry as a directive. The narrative concludes with Stephen's vision of heaven opened during his martyrdom, underscoring the importance of faith and grace in challenging circumstances.
The discussion centers on the biblical narrative of Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection. The speaker reflects on Jesus' infancy, emphasizing His humanity and the love of His mother, Mary and earthly father, Joseph. The conversation transitions to Jesus' mission, His perfect life, and His suffering on the cross, described as the most severe form of Roman crucifixion. The speaker highlights Jesus' prophecy of His betrayal, death, and resurrection, and the profound grief He experienced in Gethsemane. The discussion also touches on the physical evidence of Jesus' crucifixion, including the Sudarium and the Shroud of Turin, and concludes with references to Isaiah's prophecies about the suffering servant.
The speaker discusses the concept of being a "Bible Christian," emphasizing the importance of authentic faith over mere affiliation. Using the analogy of golfers regaining confidence, he highlights the need for believers to revert to the New Covenant, as outlined in Jeremiah 31, where God's law is written on hearts, not stone. He recounts personal experiences and scriptures, including Deuteronomy 5 and Romans 8, to illustrate the transformation required. The speaker stresses that true faith involves surrendering one's life to Christ, allowing Him to occupy the throne in one's spirit, and living according to His will.
The speaker reflects on his mother's question, "What lack we yet?" drawing from a biblical story in Acts 19. Apollos, a knowledgeable Jew, lacked understanding of the Holy Spirit, which Aquila and Priscilla explained to him. Paul later found disciples in Ephesus who knew only John's baptism of repentance, not the Holy Spirit. Paul questioned them, revealing their lack. After Paul laid hands on them, they received the Holy Spirit, enabling them to speak in tongues and prophesy. The speaker emphasizes the importance of the Holy Spirit in Christian life, suggesting many modern assemblies lack this vital experience, leading to carnal Christian lives and potential negative impacts on church leaders.
The discussion emphasized the importance of unity and agreement within Christian assemblies, drawing parallels to the game Red Rover. Key points included the necessity of maintaining unbreakable bonds of unity, avoiding unequal yoking with unbelievers, and the significance of agreement in prayer. The speaker highlighted the biblical principles of submission in marriage, stressing that submission should be voluntary and respectful. The impact of separation and divorce on children was also addressed, with a strong warning against supporting such actions. The overarching theme was the need for careful associations and beliefs to prevent divisions and maintain the integrity of Christian assemblies.
This session openly addresses a matter of family crisis that has become part of the public record.
The discussion centers on the biblical story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, emphasizing the importance of receiving and giving effectively. The speaker reflects on the significance of the "living water" Jesus offered, symbolizing the source of life and spiritual nourishment. The conversation shifts to Jeremiah 17, highlighting the consequences of trusting in human sources versus the Lord, likening those who trust in humans to a withered juniper tree. The speaker encourages sending the roots of one's spirit to the "river of God" for sustenance and fruitfulness, contrasting this with the fleeting prosperity of those who amass wealth without justice. The session concludes with Psalm 46, underscoring God as a refuge and strength in times of trouble.
The discussion centers on Luke's Gospel Chapter 8, focusing on Jesus' return to Capernaum and his interactions with a ruler of the synagogue, Jairus, and a woman suffering from hemorrhages for 12 years. Jesus heals the woman by touching her faith, demonstrating His authority and power. He then revives Jairus' daughter, emphasizing faith and authority. The conversation also references Daniel's prophecy about the end-time kingdoms and the eternal Kingdom of God. The speaker encourages calmness amidst global turmoil, highlighting the future transformation through Jesus' return.
The speaker reflects on the importance of cherishing the present and maintaining good relationships, using the metaphor of "good fences make good neighbors." He recalls childhood experiences with neighbors and the mutual support they shared. The conversation shifts to the opioid crisis, noting 7,300 deaths in Canada and 74,000 in the U.S. in 2022. The speaker emphasizes the need to address the demand for drugs and the impact of ideologies on national relations.
