The black church buildings were community centers.They housed schools and were meeting places for a variety of organizations. Antislavery societies often met in churches, and the churches harbored fugitive slaves.This went hand in hand with the community leadership black ministers provided. Having a sense of purpose gives us clear reasons for what we want to do. This can be a goal in life that makes us want to study, work, or train well. There's a close link with intrinsic motivation. Jay Z is supporting a proposed law that would block rap lyrics from being used as evidence of alleged crimes in court. According to Rolling Stone, rappers Meek Mill, Big Sean, Fat Joe, and Yo Gotti are among the rappers who have joined forces with Jay Z (real name Shawn Corey Carter) to call on New York lawmakers to pass Senate Bill S752.
The bill has been brought forward by Democrat senators Brad Hoylman and Jamaal Bailey, and assembly member Catalina Cruz.
The legislation would limit the use of “creative expression” as evidence and push prosecutors to prove that such art is not fictional, with “clear and convincing evidence”.

Khalid Muhammad (born Harold Moore Jr.; January 12, 1948 – February 17, 2001) was a black nationalist leader in the United States who became a prominent figure in the Nation of Islam and later the New Black Panther Party. After a racially inflammatory 1993 speech at Kean College, Muhammad was condemned and removed from his position in the Nation of Islam by Louis Farrakhan. He was also censured by both Houses of the United States Congress.
After being removed from the Nation of Islam he served as the National Chairman of the New Black Panther Party until his death in 2001 from a brain aneurysm. Do you know what was wrong? The government in Kabul leaned more toward the Soviet Union. They were Muslims but they had a socialist leaning that America didn’t like. So Zbignew Brezinski and American policy sent money into Afghanistan to destabilize the government in Kabul. When they brought up and paid for opposition to the government in Kabul, Russia, the Soviet Union, sent their troops into Afghanistan and the war began.When the war started, Osama bin Laden was in Arabia growing up. He World Saviours’ Day 2002 loves Islam, he loves Muslims, he sees the Soviet Union taking over Afghanistan and there’s war in Afghanistan to get the Soviet Union out, and America says, "We’re going to back those Muslim mujahideen." So American money and American weapons trained them and they drove the Soviet Union out after ten years of war, which left Afghanistan in ruins. Then they looked to America to help them, but America backed out and left them in that condition and a civil war broke out in Afghanistan. The country is already in ruins, now a civil war. Then you have the Taliban that comes to power. And they want a pure Islamic state.I read a book written by two Frenchman called, "Osama bin Laden: The Forbidden Truth." And they said that early on in the Bush administration he was negotiating with the Taliban and he said [the Taliban] were a source of stability. Why was he negotiating? Let me tell you. All of this, Khazakstan, Uzbekistan, this is oil. And guess what? A company called Unical owns 75 percent of the oil up here. And what they wanted was a pipeline to come down through Afghanistan into Pakistan into the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, as an outlet for the oil of that area. The Taliban didn’t agree.Back in July, an American representative met with the Taliban, sometimes in the UN, sometimes right in Peshawar in Pakistan. The representative said either you accept a carpet of gold or we will bury you under a carpet of bombs. This was in July. Then came September 11, and now it’s Osama bin Laden. The government didn’t know anything about any terrorists the day before. But on September 11, 12, and 13 they have 19 faces in the paper saying these are the guys. When did you learn that? How did you learn that? Something is wrong with this picture. Muslims and Arabs got all the blame and they went immediately to Congress beating the drums of war.

FBI memos and reports obtained by historian and writer Aaron Leonard now show that senior FBI officials played key roles in planning the raid and the subsequent cover-up. “It was approved at the highest level,” says attorney Jeff Haas. We also speak with attorney Flint Taylor. Both are with the People’s Law Office and were the lead lawyers in a landmark civil rights case over the deaths of Fred Hampton and Mark Clark.

Classic presentation by Dr. Khalid Muhammad, was a black nationalist leader in the United States who became a prominent figure in the Nation of Islam and later the New Black Panther Party. After a racially inflammatory 1993 speech at Kean College, Muhammad was condemned and removed from his position in the Nation of Islam by Louis Farrakhan. He was also censured by both Houses of the United States Congress.[1] After being removed from the Nation of Islam he served as the National Chairman of the New Black Panther Party until his death in 2001 from a brain aneurysm. Despite the controversy that followed him, his strong and unapologetic denunciations of white supremacy gained him the support of many in the black community.

Mr. Ferguson was a dedicated colleague of Malcolm X. His book An Unlikely Warrior: The Evolution of a Revolutionary chronicles his journey from growing up in North Carolina to becoming a founding member of Malcolm X’s Organization of Afro-American Unity (OAAU) to being an eyewitness to his leader’s assassination in Harlem’s Audubon Ballroom in 1965. He also helped to organize the Republic of new Afrika and was a member of the Revolutionary Action Movement (RAM). As a member of RAM, Herman was arrested for conspiracy to assassinate Roy Wilkins of the NAACP and Whitney Young of the Urban League. Herman was sentenced to 3 and a half – 7 years, but he fled the country and surfaced in Guyana where he lived and worked for the next 19 years. In 1989 he returned to the United States where he was promptly arrested and imprisoned for seven years. Today he has been released and serves as the co-chair of the Jericho Movement, and as the chair of the Malcolm X Commemoration Committee.

On this week broadcast we will be looking into the sovereign citizen movement. First of all what is a sovereign citizen? Is this teaching base off of Moorish Science? Are the sovereign citizen is a loose grouping of American and Canadian litigants, commentators, tax protesters, and financial-scheme promoters? Are some of their teaching rooted in business law & Uniform Commercial Codes? What is the sovereign citizens movement? At its core, the sovereign citizens movement is a loose collection of individuals who hold extreme, often militant anti-government beliefs. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which tracks hate groups, the ideology originated with the Posse Comitatus, an anti-Semitic group that was active in the Midwest beginning in the 1970s. Early sovereign citizens claimed their followers were exempt from all legal systems in the U.S. other than common law courts that have no lawyers and all of their followers, that is, except for black people, who they dismissed as a 14th Amendment citizens. They argued that black people are, in fact, subject to federal laws because they only became legal American citizens after the passage of the 14th Amendment, and thus cannot enjoy the same freedoms as their white followers.
