Hey family! So happy to be welcoming a new season, in a new year with a new milestone! I had the opportunity to sit down with Akeem Hunt, the 2021-22 Drum Major at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL and the first male and the first black person to serve in the role. In the wake of our first black Vice-President of the United States and the first Black woman being nominated to the Supreme Court, it's amazing how we still find ourselves celebrating firsts in spaces that we have occupied for decades! Enjoy :)
I honestly have no idea why I chose the number seven but "here we are, the few of us together..." or whatever Atlantic Starr said.
Enjoy! :)

Welcome back! Recently talks of HBCUs and the "Divine 9" have increased since Kamala Harris - a graduate of Howard University (the MECCA of HBCUs) and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (the oldest Black Greek Letter sorority) was named and accepted the nomination as the Vice-Presidential Candidate for the 2020 election year, representing the Democratic Party. I accepting said nomination and winning this upcoming election, she will be the first black, the first female, the first black female and the first HBCU graduate and Divine 9 member to hold such an office. This episode will discuss a brief history of the Black Greek Letter Organizations that makeup the "Divine 9". Enjoy!

In this episode I'm discussing my rise on "The Hill" aka Prairie View A&M. I had a not-so-nice experience in leadership at my previous school and was fortunate enough to come across three young men who believed in me enough to help elevate me and influence me to work hard each and every day until I moved her to Georgia. Big thank you to KJ, Xante and Eze and remember you can't make it to the top alone!
Okay so this is the third time I've uploaded this episode because I'm a perfectionist (UGH!) and it's stilllll not perfect but ENJOY anyways! :)

Prepare yourself for this story about "thanksgiving". The holiday, as you know it, is a BOLD-FACED LIE of genocide, manipulation, theft and downright tomfoolery! Enjoy!
