We know from the Scriptures that we got crucified with Christ, so identifying with the cross often becomes a point of revelation for us in this life in Christ. But what if our inclusion in Christ is taken ever farther back? What revelation could we find if we identified not just with the cross, but with the cradle as well? Is there something of that moment where humanity and divinity came together in Christ that could teach us something priceless about what it means to be alive and aware enough to capture simple moments that make history? The story of Uzziah is a revelation of the MASSIVE contrast between the old and new covenant. Last Sunday’s broadcast went out on the radio but didn’t get posted as a podcast. But it’s so important that we’re replaying it again on the radio and posting it here so our podcast audience stays up to date. When the overturn of Roe v Wade happened, I uploaded a post encouraging a response of humility. The response was surprising. Imagine Christians getting angry about humility. People thought I was against rejoicing. Dallas Willard said that Christians don’t know how to be right. And this is true. The reality is that those who don’t fully understand what it takes to obtain a win also don’t understand how to maintain a win. But if you’ll live listening to God rather than trying to impress him, he’ll teach you how to walk in every circumstance and how to respond in every moment. Don’t let the response of people to your obedience to God to sway you from the path of his Holy Spirit and his voice. So get your Bible, and listen deeply, and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today and they are for you. If you haven’t discovered the power of speaking in tongues or a prayer language, this podcast is for you. When it comes the God, his holiness was revealed to the ancient fathers of faith, but that revelation has been expanded and clarified over time. We’re still discovering what we mean when we say that God is holy. He is provider, our healer, our banner, our peace, and the descriptions continue and will unfold for eternity.

Jesus accomplished all three roles necessary to finish the work on the cross. He was the great high priest who offered the sacrifice. He was the holy one on the throne who received the sacrifice. And he was the sacrifice itself. You and I are in the equation purely by his grace and that’s how we are saved. The only thing necessary to receive salvation is faith. We have no faith of our own so we must ask God to give us the faith to believe and receive the grace of salvation. So even though we are invited into the process, we are not the source of any of the elements necessary for us to be saved. This is how God in Christ saved us single-handedly.
