This is a special episode of our podcast as it has been written and presented by some of our students. Have a listen to find out why they chose this title. The Humanities department have been emailed questions by students regarding the murder of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter Marches. This episode aims to answer some of the questions we have been asked about the history of systemic racism. Nelson Mandela said that ‘Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world’. One of our Year 9 students Grace has said that this episode is important in the hope that it can help to 'educate others, speak up and don't allow racism or discrimination to thrive in the world we live in'. Thank you to all of the students involved in this episode.

Join Miss Annandale, Miss Cuming and Miss Smith to discuss events this week. Miss Smith talks about fundraising events. Miss Annandale shares her love of the Olympics and talks through her scrapbook from Atlanta 1996! Miss Cuming tells us about how royal weddings influence fashion and benefit the economy.

In this episode Miss Cuming tells us about VE Day and how World War 2 ended. We share a good news story and Miss Smith has a challenge for us all.
