Thank you for tuning in! In today’s episode I read from Genesis Chapter 3 where we talk about the choices that God gives us to either obey or disobey Him. As we read Adam and Eve had a choice and because of their disobedience God punished them. God doesn’t want to punish us He wants to reward us. God through His correction still loves us and does not want us to go on living a life that is constantly disobedient to Him. Thank you for tuning in! In this episode I finish reading the book of Romans, with the Apostle Paul who greets all His friends in ministry those who have labored with Him and traveled with Him and even been imprisoned with Him. Paul’s missionary journey to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ was not an easy journey but it was necessary. Paul was sent by God as an Apostle to the Gentiles, and you and I benefit from His letters today from reading these inspiring letters/books like Romans, 1&2 Corinthians, Ephesians, Philippians, Galatians, 1&2 Thessalonians and a few others I may not have mentioned in the New Testament portion of the Bible. Also Paul gives His final instructions to us. “But now as the prophets foretold and as the eternal God has commanded, this message is made known to all Gentiles everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him.”Romans 16:26 let us treasure this letter of Romans and apply its words of wisdom to our Christian lives. Hey everyone thank you for tuning in! In today’s episode I am reading from Romans chapter 15, living to please others. Christ laid out an example for us to follow because when He came to earth, He came to serve not Himself but to serve of and give His life as a ransom and sacrifice for our sins, He showed us what it’s like to not be selfish on focusing on ourselves but others around us. Also we read about the Apostle Paul’s true ambition and that was to share the Good News to people who never heard of Him before, even though the Gospel of Jesus Christ is currently being shared all over the globe, as believers we should be encouraged even more so as the times on Earth is coming to a close to actively share the message of The Kingdom of God. Going to our local church and ministries is good to draw strength, encouragement, but now we need to take the message of the glorious Gospel outside of the walls of the church. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.”Romans 13:1 In this episode we read where Paul is addressing the people of His day about respecting authority and those who are in authority, it shows when we respect authority we honor God. Laws are not meant to restrict us from our liberties and freedoms or rights but they are put in place to govern us. God wants us also to show respect to those who serve it is very important. “Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. Thank You for tuning in! In this episode we conclude our reading of Romans Chapter 11 starting at verse 25-36. Paul is addressing the Gentiles at the church in Rome about God’s mercy on them which was caused by God’s chosen children of Israel. Israel had become rebellious and ultimately walked away from God and rejected His Gift of Salvation through the death of His Only Son Jesus Christ. As Paul says in the scriptures, the children of Israel had become rebels of God and enemies of The Good News, such a flip around but God in His ultimate plan to give Salvation to the entire world all of humanity this was done to provide us the Gentiles the benefit of receiving God’s Salvation. What a wonderful and awesome God! With this we should always rejoice but never take His mercy for granted. God’s love is truly unconditional towards us! Hey everyone thanks for tuning in. Today’s episode is about God’s Mercy on Israel, even though some may see God as harsh, after reading this I understand that God is so loving that He is willing to go through extraordinary measures to bring us to Him. God has and will always be faithful and will NEVER break His promise. Even though God’s chosen people reject Him and even reject His Son Jesus Christ God is not willing to give up on His own people and this is why we see what Paul describes in Romans Chapter 11 as God’s mercy on Israel, let us continue to pray for not us but His chosen people to turn their hearts back to Him. Hey Everyone Thank You for tuning in! In today’s episode we learn about how God’s Gift of salvation is for everyone Jews and Gentiles. And so because God’s selection of Israel thousands of years before the birth of Christ, God could for see that the Jews would reject The Messiah. Romans 10:20 says“And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying, “I was found by people who were not looking for me. I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.” This should give us such praise! Hey everyone thank you for tuning in! Romans 9:30 says “What does all this mean? Even though the Gentiles were not trying to follow God’s standards, they were made right with God. And it was by faith that this took place.” Paul starts off by emphasizing the importance of Israel having faith in God’s provision and promise to provide a new way of us being made right with God. Unfortunately Israel’s unbelief and ultimate rejection of The Messiah caused the spreading of God’s salvation towards the Gentiles we are now all beneficiaries of God unlimited grace and a better way of living out our faith through Jesus Christ! As I have been saying God has taken all obstacles out of our way to have a relationship with God but also a way to fulfill a life that is pleasing to God through faith in Jesus Christ and the work He did for us when God offered His Son as a sacrifice for all mankind on the cross. We now have the Gift of The Holy Spirit as our Advocate and Helper and Comforter to aid us and guides us along as we live out our lives. God’s provision is so amazing! In this episode I read from Romans Chapter 9 God’s selection of Israel, as I read this chapter I can really see God’s ultimate plan of salvation for us all throughout scripture. Paul explains in great detail how God’s selection of would be the way He would introduce His self to us in a way that we would all benefit from. Paul in this first part of Chapter 9 seems almost to want to defend God like a skillful defense attorney in a courtroom. But I too must realize that God does not need none of us to defend Him. Hey Everyone! Thank you for tuning in! In today’s episode I conclude what a 3 part series of Romans Chapter 8 starting at verse 31 Nothing can separate us from the love of God. God is so good to us, at times I’m not sure if we truly understand just how much God loves, and how deep His love goes. Like the writer of Romans says there is absolutely nothing that will separate us from the love of God. Always remember, God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us to take on the punishment that we deserve, Jesus suffered physically abuse, as well as desertion from everyone to die alone on a cross He did not deserve. God the Father turned His face away from His Son for us, that means Jesus who had no sin became sin for us all. I pray this episode encourages you to become closer to God. In this reading we learn how Jesus’s death on the cross destroyed the power of sin that leads to death, and now by the life giving Spirit we can now be free to live according to The Spirit that leads to life and peace. In today’s episode, I read from the book of Romans chapter 7 in this episode, we understand that we are no longer bound to the law, but we are free to fulfill the law to the power of Christ. We can either live out, our lives struggling to be right with God in our own strength or we can trust the work that did through his son Jesus Christ on the cross. God wants us to be free to live in the power. He provided not in the power that we try to produce ourselves. In this chapter, Paul talks about the sin, nature of how it could never help us to fulfill God‘s law. It will only produce more death, because we are given it every time we agree that God‘s law is good. Today we learned what Christ death on the cross really means and what was the power of the crucifixion it was more than just a man who wanted to sacrifice his life for all humanity also fulfilling God’s requirements of sin, it also means that we are united with Christ when we believe in his death, his burial and his resurrection this should be good news for all of us. We no longer have to live according to the law, but according to the grace of God, we no longer have to practice sin, or live, according to sin in our lives, but we can live according to righteousness! So don’t let sin be the master of your life, let righteousness and right living rule your life, so that will lead to eternal life in God. In today’s episode, I read from Romans 3:1-20 in this episode, Paul continues to address the Jewish people of his day about whether or not being Jewish has its advantages and does circumcision have advantages in their culture. What is so important to understand is that God is faithful, and that no matter what amount of sin that we do doesn’t change the way God is toward us. What is equally important? If not more is that we have to understand how bad our sin is in the way God sees it. Just because we have God’s grace does not mean this gives us a license to sin. Especially when it comes to sending as a lifestyle we should be encouraged to change especially when we understand how good God is and how much grace He isis giving us. Hey Everyone thank you for tuning in. In this episode I read from the book of Romans, we learn that Paul addressed some issues with the Jewish people of His day about their religion, how they feel very privileged to have the Law of Moses, and how they have the sign they belong to God through circumcision. It is more important to have the “circumcision” of the heart. In His letter to the Roman church he compares them with the Gentiles who didn’t have the Law nor were they offered the ceremony of circumcision as evidence they were a Jew. These things are not as important than how you live allowing the Spirit to work on you throughout your life in order to show inwardly that you are His Child. Like my Mother would have said “you don’t need to wear a sign around your neck to say you’re a Christian” God Bless Mommy for saying such a remarkable but plain and simple statement. In this episode I read from the book of Romans Chapter 2 in this week’s find Paul’s letter to the Romans about God’s judgment against sin and towards those who participate in it willingly knowing that they will be punished. The take away in this episode is to realize that while we are still living under God’s grace and tolerance and patience we still have time to repent and turn to God with all our heart. God does not want to have to send people to a burning hell, but He would not be fair if He didn’t keep His promise of Salvation which is through His Son Jesus Christ. We are currently living in a culture in our society where what was once considered “bad is good” or what was considered “evil is good” God’s standard has never changed what He was angry about and what was His standard then is what is His standard is now. God has given us His laws and ways of living not to ruin our lives but to help us. When we go outside God’s ordained purposes of living this is where we meaning mankind begin to spiral out of control. We need to stay within God’s standards for living. In today’s episode I read from the Book of Romans Chapter 1, this is very appropriate beginning to a letter to the early church in Rome, The Apostle Paul who has identified himself as a slave of Christ let’s the early church know how much their faith has grown and that their works have been heard around the world! We learn about the Good News of Jesus Christ the Gospel which we should not be ashamed of. Sharing the Good News is very impactful in a world full of darkness and chaos and sin, the world we live in needs to hear a message of hope, and that God loves us and wants us to be reconciled with Him. Also I am making an appeal for all as Christians or children of God to pray like never before for our world in the midst of the conflict we now see across the world. Our commitment to Jesus Christ has to be stronger than ever before and to be able to witness to all who have received the free gift of Salvation from our merciful and loving God our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. In today’s episode I read and conclude this devotional of Unsung Heroes in the Bible, we learn from two helpers of The Apostle Paul in the new testament letters he wrote to the churches in Philippi and Colossus these two churches were new churches of that day and Paul wanted to recognize to workers who deserved to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the ministries in those locations. Epaphroditus and Epaphras were the Apostle Paul’s unsung heroes along with that in Day 14 which is the conclusion of this 14 day devotional I read about how we can always encourage our leaders in our local church, respect them and honor them for the hard work they do in your local church congregation. Hey Everyone thank you for tuning in! In today’s episode I read from 2 Kings chapters 22 & 23. The Bible states in 2 Kings 23:25 “Never before had there ever been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all His heart, soul, and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king since. King Josiah was definitely a hero. When he read about the Book of the Law and seen how the Lord’s anger had burned so fiercely against Judah, as a leader who feared the Lord and loved Him He immediately repented of the people’s evil practices, humbled his self and made changes all over Judah and Jerusalem. He tore down all the idols, and alters, also reinstated the Passover celebration to honor the Lord. The takeaway lesson is this, good leaders know when to humble themselves in front of God and inspire others to follow the Lord, Josiah reminds us that no one is above God. Hey Everyone Thanks for tuning in! In today’s devotional I am reading from Day 20 in a devotional entitled Favor. In today’s reading we learn that God’s Favor was given to His Son Jesus Christ but instead of high praise from the people he came to minister to, He was ridiculed, mocked, humiliated, abandoned and ultimately crucified. So He was executed for being innocent, the teachers of religious law, the high priest of that day had initiated secretly a way to execute the Son of God! Yes God had shown His only begotten Son Jesus Christ Favor but that Favor resulted in Him being crucified for all mankind. Some would say Jesus didn’t deserve this but this was the plan of God, so the question for us today is if you knew that the results of God’s Favor would be bad for you would you still want it? Maybe if it would result in God being glorified and if it would mean many people coming to Christ as a result. Something to really ponder and think about. Hello Everyone Thank You for tuning in! This is episode 17 of FAVOR a wonderful devotional I’ve been reading from the YouVersion Bible App. In this episode the theme is about integrity. The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees were questioning Jesus about things like whether to pay their taxes to Caesar or to pay to God. This discussion was very interesting because the motivation of these questions towards Jesus was to supposedly trick Him. We know that they could not trick Jesus but yet this was exactly what they thought they were doing. We learn in this dialogue that Jesus is the very Word of God as a matter of fact He is God in the flesh which stood among them. Jesus decided to engage with them in order to hopefully get them to think or hopefully get revelation about who He is. Tune in to this wonderful episode to see exactly how Jesus responds to the Pharisees and teachers of religious law and what can we also learn about integrity. Today’s reading is from Day 16 of a YouVersion Devotional entitled Favor the message is Compassion, notice how Jesus showed compassion for those who followed Him in order to be healed, there were many people in Jesus’s earthly ministry who were willing to walk for miles just to bring themselves and loved ones for just a touch of His miraculous healing power. These were desperate people who saw Jesus as someone who could take away their pain, Jesus literally had to stop and feed them because they would not eat unless they received His healing, today there are many people who are in the same type of torment, whether it be disease, a handicap, or lack of sight or hearing. We need to continue to pray for those around us who needs healing even today. Today’s devotional shows us how through Jesus we can boldly come to our Gracious God who is full of kindness and compassion. But remember always when we are hurt by others Christ was hurt far more greater and Christ while being on the cross prayed to the Father to forgive those who crucified Him and ridiculed and mocked Him to ultimately forgive them. Does something have your attention God teaches us in His Word to not allow the Worlds influence to sway us from the more important matter and that’s letting other know about Jesus in our lives and what He can do in theirs. God wants to use you in a powerful way even in the same way Jesus was being used in the Bible. Healing, casting out demons was not just for Jesus to do. It was for us to do as well. If Jesus was tempted by the devil than so will we, if you have fell victim to his temptation in your life and has caused you to sin then repent and turn to God today. I’ve learned that sometimes writing a letter is the best form of communicating your feelings of how much you care about those you love. I know writing letters is “old fashioned” these days especially in the time of technology texting through phone or FaceTime. A letter takes time and effort and as you write it takes thought from your heart. This year send an old fashioned letter to someone perhaps a friend, your Son or Daughter, Mother or Father or your Spouse, see what kind of response or reaction you get. Peter learned after talking to the Roman Officer Cornelius that God shows no favoritism and it is God's desire that people be saved through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Good Day to you all! Thank You for tuning in to this episode. In this episode I read from Day 5 of Good New For All People a Devotional in the YouVersion Bible App by John M Perkins. We read the story of the apostle Peter, God had a mission for Him, He was preparing Peter to meet with a Roman Officer named Cornelius. Cornelius was a God-fearing man and was devout but did not know about Jesus Christ and the message of salvation. Peter like some of us was not familiar with going to minister to someone who was not from the same background He was from. Peter was sent a vision from God of ceremonially unclean animals on a sheet spread out from heaven from all four corners. This symbolizes the different cultures and races that are apart of the entire world we live in. Peter had to be shown that God's message has to be shared with ALL PEOPLE from every background, race, origin, culture, gender. The Church has to be the example for the world to see. Let's pray that we do not let our differences be a barrier from sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and His wonderful gift of Salvation and Mercy to ALL PEOPLE. Blknerd's Biblecast: In this episode God changes Abrams name to Abraham, he establishes his Everlasting Covenant with Abraham and his descendants not only will they be blessed but they will have the place of Canaan when they were previously foreigners now they will be blessed with the territory forever and his descendants will be very many as well as they will be Kings and Nations coming from him this was God establishing his people on the Earth. Also God also lets Abraham know that his wife Sarah will give birth to a son in which the Nations and Kings will come from him. Sarai's name has been changed to Sarah. Both Abraham and Sarah are 99 and 100 years old Abraham finds it funny that God will bless him with his son and express his disbelief because of his old age in her old age and having a son so late in life but God confirms that they will have a son in their old age.
