Updated FRP ladder drawings — including both ladder attachment bracket options — are now live on the Poly Processing website. A dedicated ladder landing page covering all ladder and fall-restraint information is expected within the next 30-45 days.
[1:43] BABA (Buy America Build America) Certification Letter
A standardized BABA certification letter, formatted to EPA requirements, is now available in the P3 download library under Manufacturing. This letter can be included directly in submittal packets or quotes for Buy America Build America projects.

Poly Processing recommends Weld-On 724 cement, Weld-On C65 cleaner, Hercules Tape Dope, and Blue Monster PTFE tape for all PVC and CPVC applications.
[4:09] Field Installation Review Service (Dan Comp)
Orders of $150,000 or more automatically trigger an installation review call from Dan Comp to the job-site installer. Distributors can also manually flag any order for this service — or opt out of the automatic trigger — by notifying their inside salesperson or regional manager.
[4:56] NSF/ANSI CAN 61 Certification for Crosslink Polyethylene Potable Water Tanks
Poly Processing has achieved NSF/ANSI CAN Standard 61 certification for potable water storage on three tank lines: PolyCL XLPE (natural), PolyCL Black, and PolyCL White. The official NSF letter is available on P3, and certified tanks ship with an NSF sticker and documentation.
[6:47] New 407 SAFE-Tank (Winchester, VA)
The new 407 SAFE-Tank mirrors the popular 405 but features a four-flat dome configuration — one flat with a 7-inch buttress cap and three additional flats at 90°, 180°, and 270° — providing more options for pumps and fittings without custom verticals. It includes one pocket-fitting flat at the bottom sidewall, just like the 405.
[8:02] Using SAFE-Tank Internal Tanks as Standalone Primary Tanks & The Chop Top System;
The internal tank from any SAFE-Tank set can be ordered separately as a primary tank, and the budget pricer on P3 lists all available internal tank options with actual capacities. The Chop Top option — cutting the internal tank to serve as a fitted lid for the outer tank — offers a cost-effective alternative to expensive fabricated lids.
[9:21] Desired Ship Date — Please Include on Purchase Orders
Poly Processing schedulers are now tracking desired ship dates as a key input for weekly production planning. Distributors are encouraged to include a realistic desired ship date on every purchase order to help with forecasting and to improve on-time delivery.

1) Product Spotlight: Our Heaviest Tank Set
- Product: 10,500 SAFE-Tank
- Weight at 1.9 SG: ~10,000 lbs (as listed on the website)
- Weight at 2.2 SG: ~12,200 lbs (full set)
Important handling note:
- At 2.2 SG, the set weight can exceed the working load limits of many common crane straps and off-loading rigging.
- Action: If your order specifies heavy SAFE-Tanks, confirm all lift/rigging gear is rated appropriately and brief the off-loading team.
Need guidance on rigging or handling? Contact your frontline representative. Poly Processing strongly recommends using a licensed and experienced construction rigger to offload and set the tanks safely.
2) Customer Financing: Leasing Options You Can Offer
Many customers prefer to expense tanks monthly instead of using capital budgets. Consider partnering with an equipment leasing company (local or national) to package tanks into a monthly payment.
How it works:
- Distributor is paid upfront; Poly Processing is paid as usual.
- Leasing company bills the customer monthly.
- Position it similar to “bundled” chemical contracts that include tanks/pumps within a monthly price.
Benefits:
- Removes capital hurdles
- Simplifies approvals
- Helps win competitive deals
3) Extended Service Plans: Keep the Margin, Meet the Need
Our warranty:
- Industry-leading 5-year full replacement (not prorated)
Some customers ask for 7–10 years of coverage. Poly Processing does not extend beyond the current warranty; however, distributors may sell an extended service plan.
How to structure it:
- Price against a conservative “worst-case” scenario in years 6–10
- Consider help from Poly Processing on replacements at cost in rare cases
- Validate installation practices—installer responsibility can apply
- Most manufacturer defects present within the first few years

- Consult an attorney to draft your plan terms

🔩 Eye Nuts – Avoid Bolt Size Confusion
Eye nuts are included in wind/seismic restraint kits, but confusion often arises over bolt sizing.
- What’s stamped on the eye nut (e.g., 7/8”) = Bail size, NOT bolt size. (The term "bail size" on an eye nut refers to the inside diameter or width of the eyelet opening, which is the circular loop at the top of the nut.)
- Correct bolt = 1/8” larger than stamped bail (e.g., use a 1” bolt for a 7/8” bail).
- 📎 Contractors must provide their own anchor bolts.

🧰 Spool Fittings – Understand the Two Types
There are two categories of spool fittings:
- 6” and Under (Made In-House)
- Components: Two flanges + pipe
- Not welded or gusseted
- Standard projection: ~6.5”
- Easily trimmed for custom fit
- 8” and Larger (Vendor-Fabricated)
- Welded, gusseted, and pre-assembled
- Standard projection: ~12–13”
- Custom projections available upon request (adds time & quote steps)
