Episode 6 we chat with Natasha May Platt aka Surfaceofbeauty!

Natasha May Platt is a mural artist based in Bushwick, New York. She has a BA in philosophy and religion from Harvard College and received the 2010 Gardner Fellowship for a year of international creative exploration after graduation. Her fellowship led her to the embroidery and textile traditions of Kolkata, India, and she spent three years in Kolkata studying and working in textile design.

Her mural work is influenced by the color and rhythm of textile traditions, as well as her personal connection to nature and meditative states. She has painted murals for Ballston Quarter Mall in Virginia, Freeform media in LA, Governors Ball Music Festival, as well as murals in Mexico, Bali, and India. Most of her murals are found in New York City.

Natasha tells us about her journey as a creative, her mediation practice and what has influenced the course of her career.

Episode 5 we got Stephanie Bellefleur in the haus!

Stephanie Bellefleur is a Contemporary Visual Artist of colour who was born in Venezuela, South America, living in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan and operating her Business The Haus of Bellefleur in Toronto, Canada. As an experienced Visual Artist, Arts Administrator and Production Coordinator; within the work of heritage, charitable organizations, municipalities, and business association, Stephanie's high impact projects include contributing to landmark 8 “story” Phlegm mural at Yonge and St.Clair, the Roncesvalles Bridge alongside Chicago artist Justice Roe and most recently, contributed to the unique 23 story “Equilibrium Mural” alongside International Muralist Okuda San Miguel.

We get into Stephanie's practice, her journey and the ins and outs of her mindset practice as it has influenced the course of her career.
