Welcome back to the New Mom Boss Podcast! OBGYNs are an integral part of the pregnancy journey. But there’s a problem in our culture when we over-rely on them for not just pregnancy, but the whole postpartum period. They might be great at delivering babies, but that doesn’t mean they’re an expert on the human body and all of its intricacies.
Joining me to talk about this further is Tanya Tringali, the owner and founder of Mother Wit Maternity. She is a Certified Nurse-Midwife on a mission to provide wellness services that promote optimal pregnancy outcomes, safe and satisfying birth experiences, and ease the transition into parenthood.
In this episode, we discuss the differences in postpartum care between the current healthcare system and midwifery, what the current system provides, and the things that should be advocated for elsewhere.

Manu’s story is very similar to mine, in that she had to call in the help of a professional to sleep train her firstborn because she was already pregnant with her second. And it worked after only three nights!
Manu then became a pediatric sleep consultant to help other parents and new moms get over the same sleep struggles, while also working as a certified parent coach and postpartum doula.

Welcome back to the New Mom Boss Podcast and the 100th episode!! Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me. In this episode, I take a moment to catch you up on what’s been going on in my life, but also look ahead to what’s coming to New Mom Boss in the near future!
My goal for this podcast has always been to educate pregnant women and first-time moms about the motherhood journey - from the first trimester all the way to postpartum. But what I’ve found is that most women will place all of their time and energy into researching the delivery, with little to no time devoted to creating a plan on how to survive the postpartum period.
Birth lasts a short time when compared to everything else a new mom goes through!
Some big takeaways are:
We all need a little help every now and again. Why not use what time is left in your pregnancy to get my help in preparing for your new future?!
The Prepping For Postpartum Workshop is starting on March 18!

Welcome back to The New Mom Boss Podcast! This is the first episode of the new year, and I’m so excited for what’s to come in future episodes. So for this episode, I’m offering an encore to episode 8 of the podcast, all about the ins and outs of breastfeeding. In it, I go deeper into the parts of breastfeeding that may not be widely discussed, I explain the anatomy and science behind breastfeeding, the complete process, more of the benefits, and how skin-to-skin actually helps to promote it.

Welcome back to the New Mom Boss Podcast! In this episode, I wanted to talk about goals and new motherhood. 2022 is just around the corner, and while many of you are thinking of your own goals and resolutions for the coming year, I wanted to bring the expecting mamas some encouragement. Because you’re probably wondering how you can have goals while also having a newborn!
Some big takeaways are:
Remember that just because motherhood is demanding, it doesn’t mean we have to lose sight of the special goals and dreams we have for ourselves. And the more you prepare for motherhood beforehand, the more likely you’ll be able to pursue those goals sooner after having your baby.

The postpartum phase of motherhood can oftentimes bring women to the brink of major anxiety and frustration. We all know that Postpartum Depression is a very real thing, but what about postpartum anger and rage?
To help talk about this, I brought Jessie Ereddia onto the show. She is a mom of three and a life coach for moms, specializing in anger and anxiety management. She often shares her own journey of navigating postpartum rage, learning to manage her anger and anxiety, and helps other moms to do the same by using her own unique process in the Mom Empowered Program.
I loved having this conversation with Jessie and learning more about the triggers for postpartum anger and hear her approach to managing the rage. If you'd like to learn more, visit the show notes and check out all the mentioned resources!

There is a lot of advice for new mamas floating around out there - what to do, what not to do, how to do it...etc. And while it’s all very well-intended, it can easily overwhelm first-timers!
Remember that motherhood will always look different for each woman because let’s face it - we’re all different and our circumstances in life are not the same.
With that said, I do believe there are three main parts of the journey that every woman can focus on, especially the single ladies when it’s time to prepare for their baby.
This episode is actually an interview I had with Katie B. on her show, The Single Greatest Choice. Katie focuses on topics related to singleness, fertility, motherhood, and choice, and is passionate about providing support to women who find themselves in those stages of life that aren’t necessarily going as planned.
In our discussion, I share more about my own passion for supporting new moms and provide 3 big preparation tips for women who are wanting to become pregnant to make it a confident, supported, and stress-free experience.

The motherhood journey is nothing if not emotional.
But not only are the new emotions affecting our bodies, but old emotions from the past could also be clinging to us. And when the two are combined, it can cause a major blockage that’s hard to ignore.
In this episode, Kim Cuna and I have a conversation about these roadblocks. Kim is a rehabilitative Pilates instructor that also practices Emotion Code and other healing modalities such as Reiki and Body Code Access to assist others in their healing journeys!
In our conversation, we discuss more about what Emotion Code and Body Code is, how it’s possible to clear away the emotions that we’re holding onto negatively, and why this is such an important topic for new moms to consider as they grow their families.

Our third episode in the Mama Mindset Series is dedicated to self-care, one of my very favorite topics! 👏
We typically limit self-care to only be about pedicures, manicures, or a visit to the spa. Don’t get me wrong - those things are nice (like really nice), and can be a form of self-care to some, but after hearing this conversation with Jen Mergelas, you’ll realize that it’s about SO MUCH MORE!
Jen is an online health and wellness Self-Care Coach, entrepreneur, and leadership mentor. She is passionate about empowering busy mamas to FEEL GOOD and FIND JOY in making time for themselves.

No doubt you’ve heard the term “Cosleeping” in your new mom education, but probably less about “attachment parenting”. What do these terms mean and how are they related to one another??
In this latest episode, I deep dive both questions with Amanda from Coffee and Cosleeping, a podcast dedicated to crushing societal norms. It was started by Amanda AND Alexis - both mamas, military wives and besties - but sadly due to mom-life, Alexis was unable to join our conversation.
In my talk with Amanda, she defines both cosleeping and attachment parenting, including its background and foundational principles, and shares with us her experience of the two.
We also have a great conversation about their frequently asked questions surrounding safety, and even how cosleeping affects intimacy between partners. Both of which (let’s be real) can be very controversial topics for some couples!
