Sully Wittrock loves to teach women how to feel confident in themselves and their clothes, without changing their bodies or their entire wardrobe.
Sully has always loved fashion and always loved helping people get dressed, but her favourite part about the job is helping people with their “style mindset” which helps her help them create confidence in themselves and their style.
What do you say about your wardrobe? And what do your clothes say about you?

This panel discussion with the EPIC Network (Expert Psychologists Interagency Clinical Network) focuses on why four agencies decided to come together in order to lobby the government to make changes to the mental health model as we currently experience it in Alberta.
EPICS MissionThe Expert Psychologists Interagency Clinical Network (EPIC) agencies include Kells Counselling, Insight Psychological, Dreamcatcher Nature Assisted Therapy, and Cornerstone Counselling. EPIC is a grassroots group representing over 60 private psychologists in Alberta. Together they strive to promote the benefits of psychology in the Edmonton area and help all Albertans access psychological care.
In 2019 EPIC started a petition and submitted stating that changes needed to be made to the publics’ ability to access mental health.
The petition asks the Alberta Government to:
Fully fund mental health care interventions with a psychologist.
Allow psychologists to direct bill AHS for psychological services.

Okay today, we're going to talk about the F word. No, not that one, but the other F word fear. Oh goodness. That was really cheesy. Anyways. I want to talk about fear because I'm a little obsessed with it, mainly because it's one of those human experiences that we equally want to get rid of, but also need it in order to understand our overall purpose. So if you've ever heard the phrase, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Well, that's really trying to invoke a fearless attitude, but here's why I don't want you to be fearless. FearLESS, broken down is the absence of fear. But if fear is missing, how do we know if we are in danger? Danger of being in the wrong place? Or perhaps in danger of being on the right path? Perhaps what if we looked at fear as more of a guiding principle, as in what does fear want me to do right now?
**In order to have fear be a guiding principle, we need to understand it first.

Sarah has grown her business through IG without showing her face. As a business owner, I think we have been told so often to make sure that our clients know who we are and what we look like. Our faces are part of our brand but Sarah is proving that wrong.
She is the woman behind the camera and not showing her face was working for Go Clean Co. She says, “my followers are here for cleaning and learning not for what I’m wearing. I am laser-focused on my brand and it isn’t about me.”

When we have young ones while also trying to build a business, we can often feel pulled to do both at the time same time or being forced to choose. Chas spoke about how owning a fitness business she would often try and do training at the park so her kids could come along, or finally landing on working in the evening which meant she sacrificed having dinner with her family. Ultimately, this led to her burnout as she constantly wanted to be with her family when she was at work, but wanted to be at work when she was with her family. The struggle so many of us can relate too.
In this episode, Chas Young shares how she came to her 3S strategy she can successfully run her business on a 3hour workday.

Ashlie Sutton is a mom of four living in southeastern Idaho with her Accountant Husband and has been in the hair industry for over 12 years. But most of all, they love to do all things outdoors such as camping, boating, you name it! Ashlie is also the owner of The Haircut Box which is a product you can purchase that has haircutting tutorials with ALL the supplies you need. Ashlie had known for a long time that she wanted to create a business that could help people beyond what she was doing in her home salon. What happened to all the beef? When the virus impacted the processing plants it left a lot of farmers in a pinch as bigger processing plants outsourced to smaller ones.
EC Williams was impacted by this too because when people tried looking for beef in the grocery stores and found nothing they ended up looking local!
Courtney shares with us how wholesale cuts of beef they had anticipated to have until June sold out a month and half early!!
This year EC Williams had decided to pivot and partner with another farming family to open up a vendor market in Carstairs, Alberta. Courtney speaks about how they navigated the pandemic closures and what trends they are noticing with how consumers are choosing to shop for their meals.

Do you remember the good ol’ days looking up a business number through the Yellow Pages?
Well, our guest today use to work in the sales department for the Yellow Pages where he would sell businesses advertising spots. When he noticed that his business accounts were becoming less satisfied with the return of value and more people were moving to look up businesses via Google, he decided to start his own business to help them.
John had no idea what SEO was, but he knew sales and he knew what his customers wanted, this all led him to do the research and learning how to deliver value to his long time customers in the new digital age.
7 years later, John now has over 30 employees and clients across Canada.

Today I talk about how to price your services. When we start our business that is one of the biggest questions of “how much do I charge?”, and as a non-business owner when you go somewhere to pay for something you may find yourself questioning “why do they charge so much?”.
In the first few months, I certainly fell into the cycle of undercharging myself which resulted in undervaluing myself.
Some thought traps I found myself in “I am new”, “I don’t want to lose potential clients”, “I wouldn’t be able to afford a higher cost”.
These thoughts come from comparing myself to others but ignoring my own strengths and uniqueness.
So in this episode, I share WHY I increased my rates and how I realized I needed to separate my experience/skills from years of owning a business.

Just like you see in the movies, the world came to a stop for Kristel. The doctor could tell her it was cancer, but he couldn't tell her a whole lot more because they were still investigating the biopsy. Kristel went to the Women's Health Centre, where she met with a surgeon. At that point, it turned out there were two tumors. Two different types of cancer.

Thank you to everyone that listened to my previous audio blog (if you missed it…catch it here). This was actually super helpful for me to work through some thoughts and get share in a more authentic way.
Someone commented “ I can’t believe you were driving and able to through all your ideas with such focus and eloquence” (blushing!) Thank you very much, and yes I find driving the time I am most focused on what is going on, probably because I am not easily distracted in any other way other than driving.
So here is Episode 2. This one I recorded in my closet so not so much background noise haha, but it is just as unscripted and free thought flowing as the last one! I hope you enjoy.
SIDE NOTE: This episode is 19:09mins !
Episode 2: 5 lessons of being newly Self Employed
NOTES:
You can download the episode to listen to it later, still looking into putting all of these into a podcast eventually but until then thank you for listening to it one my website :)
Lessons highlighted:
Loneliness
Communication
Don’t need to “run”
Celebration
What works for you may not work for me

Episode 1: Creating Pillars for my BusinessSIDE NOTE: This was recorded on the ride home from the connect + collaboration event, and as an audio blog. future recordings will have reduced background noise.NOTES:
Hey! So I'm Tia Bell (Personal Development Coach and Registered Social Worker) and these last 6 months have been AWEmazing. Becoming a solo-entrepreneur has opened up my eyes in ways I never expected. Every day I am learning how to trust myself and be proud of what I accomplish.
Something I have really learned is that I LOVE having conversations and that I am NOT good at “blogging”. So I have decided to do this blog a different way, sure I could do a podcast (but that will be another learning curve), so right now I am going to do weekly audio blogs where I will be unscripted and be completely open about the lessons from the week and challenges I am working through.
So here is a raw and uncut recording from my past week where I share a lesson in loneliness and the value I get from going to networking events.
