After the very fast, sad, and depressing deterioration in Venezuela, Adriana decided to start a new life. She left Caracas at the age of 38 with four suitcases, her son, and her beautiful dog Cala, to return to Mexico City. Adriana journeyed into an unknown adventure, where she carried only her good attitude, faith, belief in herself, and her potential as a both a woman and a professional, combined with the desire for success as the main tool. Some members of her family did not agree with that decision, but the most important thing at the time was she believed in herself. Finally, she felt very fortunate in each and every one of the personal and professional experiences she has had in her life. This quote has been my experience with art. Though I drew incessantly as a child (reams and reams of paper!) I actually resisted the idea of being an "artist" most of my life. Maybe it goes back to the idea of feeling out of the loop - that somehow I wasn't a "real" artist? Or perhaps it had to do with cultural stereotypes of artists necessarily being eccentric and anti-social? Regardless, returning to visual art has been a joyful homecoming.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and spent ten precious years in Austin. I have also lived in New Orleans and Shreveport, LA, Asheville, NC, rural Florida and Tennessee, as well as Simi Valley, a suburb outside of Los Angeles, CA. From adolescents until quite recently acting was my primary creative focus. My family is very creative (our black sheep would be someone with a "normal" job!) My mom is a painter - my inspiration and mentor. I'm blessed to have grown up around her work! And to know first hand the challenges of art as a profession.

**Jordie started her journey with spirit in 2010 when she and her mum went for a weekend up to the Gold Coast in 2010 to do a workshop with Lisa Williams it was supposed to be an intimate weekend but there was about 1000 people at this conference but that weekend Jordie was pushed into the deep end with spirit and did her first ever mediumship reading for a lovely couple and brought through their daughter. From that day forward Jordie has honed her skills and extra sensory muscles to bring clarity, love and hugs from loved ones in spirit.
Coming from a family of natural mediums and universally connected she was sort of pushed into working with spirit by spirit. Jordie loves working as a platform Medium to groups of people and also one on one.
