Happy Hour for august 2011…!!! The final show for this season filled with extraordinary music in the electronica genre. We’re proud to present artists like: CiYou, Easily Embarrassed, Jean Mare, Alexel, Planet Boelex, Saul Stokes, Xerxes, Carbonates on Mars and many more…

Executive Producers

Andrew W. - John H. - Rettward v.D. - Michael U. - Henrik J. -

Jeff W. - Marc V. - Stefan C. - Andy M. - Abraham C.

Spacemusic has published 40 shows in Season 6: Flying Dutchman mixes, Coffee Breaks, Non-Stop Spacemusic sets, the special Oliebollen Show in three parts during New Year’s Eve, Import from Frisky Radio (Shamanah set), Fresh Air! Lounge series. New items have been the TAKE 5 episodes and the Happy Hour shows; we’re pretty sure there will be more Happy Hours during next season.

It has been a pleasure producing the podcasts for you. It has taken many hours of listening, compiling, mixing, creating, recording, finalizing, publishing and promoting. Well, the promotion of the podcast is simply something that slips through the fingers all the time as there’s not enough time to handle that part. For those of you following us via Twitter, still the best way to stay informed, and via this site of course.

Season 6 is now releasing the final show. It’s a cool one with exciting new tracks, known tracks, some chats in between and serious non-stop moments. Plug in your ear buds…. Send some feedback if you like, we’re all ears. Looking forward meeting you on the other side of the break, which will probably be around december. Thank you for your patience, speak soon.

Here we are… just before the Summer Break in 2011 - like every year we will take a break, leave the studios, go out and relax, getting fresh air, inspiration, charging the battery. The Spacemusic battery is what we’re talking about. We counted 42 episodes during Season 6 of our Ambient & Electronic podcast; we enjoyed doing Coffee breaks, the NonStop editions and the new items called ‘Take 5′. We also enjoyed producing the Fresh Air! series which will be on ‘hold’ as well for the break. During the break please feel free to send us e-mail, please do send your demo/released albums so we can listen to these during lazy summer afternoons…

Will there be a Season 7? First we will dive into some figures, hosting bills, studio equipment and make decisions about maintenance. We are a non-sponsored station and this means we must rely on the support by our audience. One can make donations via the website and we need this kind of support very bad. So before we can think or tell about new programs for the upcoming new season, we must go and calculate costs and profits first. To be honest with you: during the past few months hardly any donation made it to the show; we’re talking a rare couple of dollars in 6 months time. We simply can’t pay the show from such amounts of money and after 6 seasons of Spacemusic and a very wide audience that seems a bit strange is it? Especially if we have a look at the download statistics for the podcast……

Each Spacemusic/ Fresh Air episode is downloaded app. 5,000 times. How ’bout if only one percent of these downloads would donate us one dollar? We’d generate 50 dollars each show. This would make sense right? This is not a stupid thought is it? This would solve our worries maintaining the Spacemusic podcast station. This would pay the bills and even make it possible for us to save some for studio equipment. Feel free to share your thoughts about this. Feel free to come up with brand new ideas creating a strong supportive community. We’re all ears.

So what’s up next? Up next is the final episode for season 6 and it will be a Happy Hour one! So we’ll chat some more about all the above and TC will share great new music that reached us by e-mail and postal lately. Music, some talk, interesting links to sites, cup of coffee, a nice final for the season. ETA show release: august 11th.

Stay tuned and enjoy your summer!

July 24th 2011 - opening for this episode: So Good Today, the Yoruba Suite Mix of this Ben Westbeech track, lovely groove isn’t it? So here we are to enjoy a fine new show, while the temperature outside is not even more than 14 degrees Celsius and tons of rain… Let’s get this lounge chair lifted off: the City Lights Lounge album brings a cool track All Day, we love the bassline and typical low-fi vocals…. The brand new album by Merge of Equals to be released July 29th and now on our show! Enjoy the -Heart Of Gold- remix by Gold Lounge, we simply love the vocals and super relaxed atmosphere, almost a pop song with a serious ambient twist! You won’t hear this on the radio is our motto… with our heart of gold we continue to the -Heart and Mind- the so called Sunsphere Mix is one major piece of art! Play this one as loud as possible and invite your neighbours to enjoy the lowww frequencies the right way… From here we go -where the water is- a VARGO 10 years of the best, to be released by August 12th. Sine will show you -The Return - from the Cosmic Chill Lounge vol. 5 compilation, a musthave in your collection. Smoothly but surely it’s time to enter the tear zone - Dry My tears - by Triangle Sun for we know how it feels sometimes… And then -We Go Forward- a track that needs some extra translation if possible so we love to hear from you…. Beautiful vocals by Lena Kaufman, something special to keep safe in your libraries. Another shower now…. for the greenest plants you can imagine! This track -Beautiful- by Late Night Alumni still is what it says. Now we go behind the scenes… please do remember the name Moodorama, enjoy the Mystery In A Cup Of Tea. Time for the Daily Phenomena by Alexel, certainly keeps you in the right mood and makes you fly away…. and travel with Fade for the -Wonderful Time- track which is really outstanding. Still with us? Good! Cause it’s time to say goodbye… Bye bye to the past, Hello to the future. You know who you are. Life has been crazy the past couple of weeks/months. Love has been making us crazy as well. Some will stay, others will disappear, everything will change, nothing’s the same. Please listen to Andrew Belle’s track -In My Veins- it really makes you think, feel, cry, laugh and so much more…. Thank you for your support! Dedicated to all marked souls.

From the known and unknown past… inspired by a movie or two, this is Spacemusic in a very cinematic style. Not only music can bring back memories, this show proves the power of visuals as well. Even this film poster, even a title, it all makes sense in the end: we’re only human and we need this stuff to survive our very own thoughts. Wanna see this movie again? Listen to the episode, based upon Spacemusic #69 Loup Garou which was published back in 2007 for the first time. This is the remastered edition for free in 192Kbps mp3 format. Sweet dreams.

Once upon a time there was a boy, there was a girl, they liked eachother very much, their first kiss, many beautiful days, going out, having fun, being close, secrets of their hearts, sunny picnic, lovely dinners, drinks, ice cream, beach and boulevard walks, safety, sharing good music and movie moments, missing eachother, dreaming about eachother, they fell in love.

Some people, they tease one another, take pride in themselves, keeping the other one down…

Some people are born for eachother, they love to walk, holding the other one’s hand, they always understand….

Her magic eyes will always be.

Wij waren raar, maar zo ontzettend waar

Impressive music coming from Rotterdam, performed by ANIK. This track came to us via Soundcloud and immediately draw our attention… the rhythm, the atmosphere, the chords, like she says herself: I’m intrigued by spacey atmospheres. ANIK is a medical science student (4th year) , plays the violin, piano, classical and jazz oriented, lead singer in couple of bands, yes: into music to say the least! Inspired by artist like Wagon Christ, Moby, Bonobo. The song you hear is called ‘Callisto’ and is a Ableton LIVE driven piece, watch this artist for more interesting material, take 5!

May 3rd 2011… plenty of sunshine coming through the window and speakers! After days of over 20C it has dropped now till 10C…. and THAT’s chilly as! So we turn up the heating system and make things comfortable in the studio. Our journey starts with the uptempo dance track by Dulac and Dobois called ‘Turning’… straight from the heart as they say, if you were not in love, you will be now. Back to the downtempo mode we meet Triangle Sun, Desa Systems, Velvet Lounge Project for a nice flow in the same key…. a back-to-back mix you’ll like. Soul and Love Lounge is a great album and should be in your collection, the energy, the chilled mood, the images that will come to mind, a Tyranno Lounge Records release, available in many stores. When you go where no one has gone before… best experienced when watching the sun go down! Now dry your eyes and step into the Spaceship hosted by Triangle Sun, fantaaastic track, turn up the volume and enjoy this master piece, sometimes you’ll even hear your phone during the song which is very well done by these guys. Keep going now and sing along with Camouflage’s very cool track called ‘Me and You’. Now we go back to the beach among the reed where we meet Steve Osaka and pray when listening to the fabulous Lounge Worship series. So many memories, so many lies, we’ve had some laughter, I’ll be your friend. Sudden thoughts and feelings, missing my baby. Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone in the best version one can think of! People, trying to connect, looking for warmth, comfort, love and happiness. Sometimes you find that person that you really want to know better, someone you care for, someone that takes a bit from your heart and how strange it may sound: that person might be beyond imagination and control. Hooked! Funny…some people fall in love, others say they never do. Really? When you think about someone else all the time, having this incredible desire to be with that special person, what’s that called? This episode was made in a state of ‘lost in love’. Cinematic tracks, mixed carefully, tracks that cause a smile, a tear, chaos sometimes, twists and sudden directions, in the end: a unique non-stop mix, perfect for listening in single mode or together. Enjoy!

Back in 1990 I found myself sitting behind the keyboard with my music teacher… I got the task to practice the ‘Infinity’ song by Guru Josh, program the sequencer to see if I could do it. This was so much fun and I succeeded pretty well! Incredible to hear the 2008 make-over of the track, it has been on many radio stations. Today’s version is one you won’t hear that often on the radio, it’s a special Chill Mix of Infinity, the Steen Thottrup mix. Imagine: a composition that has been around for over 20 years now. Based and built from analog modular synth drones, patches & effects, this is pure underwater dream zone music. Made to accompany the fluid movements and colorful bio-luminescence of the jellyfish, flowing and drifting with the currents, the blend of sounds are surprisingly organic in their textures, and mix well with crustacean-like effects and poly-sequential, fractal rhythms & pulses. Expansive, slow moving, aquarium-like environments are penetrated and felt deeply here.

February 2011 so that means…. the 6 Year mark! The first Spacemusic podcast ever was published back in 2005 on feb 26th. At that time talking to a 5 euro microphone, playing tracks that we found on the internet, no titles, no background info. We’ve gone very far from there to say the least…

This specific show is a unique one as well, listen closely and become lost in translation. Huh? Yes, the first dutch spoken Spacemusic episode! Get your coffee now and tune in!

Are you busy? Are you in a hurry? Fine. But take your moments of rest from time to time. Human beings need to recharge on a regular basis, it’s that simple! Maintain energy and avoid burnout effects; here’s a couple of tips to do it better, we think. 1] develop a positive attitude, even if you don’t want to do something, find a way to reframe the circumstances, do not judge everything around you all day, stay focussed. 2] listen to uplifting and refreshing music, listening to Spacemusic is proven to be very helpful to decompress from daily activities. 3] Avoid caffeine and drink more water, water keeps your energy level more balanced, you will avoid a serious energy drain that comes from a caffeine crash. 4] get recovery time, take breaks during the day, put them in your schedule. 5] get sufficient sleep, if you need to take a power nap, take one; exhaustion will always be on the horizon if you don’t get adequate sleep.

It all sounds simple right? But how many people actually practice these steps, really? Welcome to Spacemusic land, here you can think about it while listening to the best relaxing music on this globe and beyond. Enjoy Spacemusic #605, non-stop show featuring wonderful ambient/relaxing music.

Where do good tunes come from…? Many ways of searching of course. But lately this cloud based music library really got our full attention: Soundcloud.com Watching it for months and very simple basics: one uploads music, one clicks the PLAY button and listens. It’s that simple. And with the latest Apps coming from the Soundcloud team you can do this from your (Mobile) device anytime, organise tracks and artists, seek contact, visit the cloud itself and so forth. There’s a second iTunes like application running here and it fills up with fantastic tunes coming from all over the world… all based upon the genre/artist we choose to follow and at the same time some really exclusive tracks coming in from the lovely ’private’ sharing features within the Soundcloud world…. It rocks, it really does! Thanks to musicians willing to share their creations, the cloud is certainly one of the biggest musical injections for this station…

Hello and welcome to the year 2 0 1 1 - back online with new shows for you to check out. This is the first one made on Jan 16th. Sitting in the studio, thinking about all those great tracks… first let me tell you some tracks didn’t make it to the 2010 end of year podcast; not because the tracks are not good enough… on the contrary: extremely good songs certainly worth to add to your libraries!

Let’s start with Saycet from Paris, France. Also known as Pierre Lefeuvre. His second LP release after the first one back in 2006. Talking about ‘Through The Window’. a Fantastic album full of magic and haunting melodies, vocals by Phoene Somsavath. Call this experimental pop, call this electro-nu-jazz, call it music that goes with many different moments during the day and night. Play this one loud and enjoy the Saycet universe. And please, let Saycet know you have heard the music right here via the Spacemusic podcast, add a comment at his Myspace site for instance…

Big thanks to Jana and Carl for the most splendid audio comment we have ever received by a Spacemusic listener… They are Northcore and it’s clear to me now we also have to thank this sound engineer at BBC World Service for recording his collegues in the studio… Super! If you’d like to hear the clip please download and listen part 2 of the Oliebollen Show HERE. On today’s show a remix Northcore did of the track ‘Dreamwalking’ by Deborah Martin, Greg Klamt and Mark Rownd. We’re sure you like this one a lot! Check out the entire album (Spotted Peccary release) on iTunes as well.

It has been 2 years since the last Mylène Farmer album has been released. When ‘Point de Suture’ came out I’d already pre-ordered the album via Amazon.fr making sure I could listen to it as soon as possible. Perhaps you do remember my visit in Brussels as posted on september 21st 2009 HERE. There’s also a small video on Youtube (HERE) which has been viewed over 4,200 times already which is super. On the album ‘Point de Suture’ one can find a mixture of uptempo and ballad tracks, fantastic songs including those typical ‘Mylène’ songs that are just magic, cinematic music composed by Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat, who also directed tons of her groundbreaking videos. For me, all this is a big source of energy and a source of inspiration for what I do in audioviduals. Or should I say: it used to be…?

December 6th 2010: the release of a new Mylène Farmer album called ‘Bleu Noir’. This time I had pre-ordered the album on a Dutch site and got in the album by december 9th. Unpacked it and started playing with my best headphones on….

Here’s a summary of my ‘Bleu Noir’ experience, a 12 track album that is no longer under the eye of producer and composer Laurent Boutonnat. This time La Farmer hired RedOne for the production (known for his work with Lady Gaga) and Jimmy Joker. The music on the album is taken care of by ‘Moby’ (really? really.) and a couple of tracks were done by Darius Keeler which is a British composer of a the UK based rock band ‘Archive’. The result? “Muziek uit een koekblik” which is dutch for “music from a cookie jar”… read more if you’re up to this.

“On the BN album (Bleu Noir) La Farmer is going where I don’t want to go anymore… 2 out of 5 stars, perhaps an extra star over time”

Now what got into Mylène anyway? Music by Moby. Hmm. Before you know it you will be listening to boring loops and irritating piano patterns as I’ve said goodbye to the Moby style many years ago. But first… there’s the opener of the album called ‘Oui Mais Non’ which is a typical Lady Gaga song produced my RedOne. Boom! Not quite original but it draws the attention by it’s repetitive lyrics and booming beats. Nice one mr RedOne. Video looks ok but very plastic. Mylène looks kinda imported in a land where she doesn’t exactly belong but that’s not important for the rest of this review.

I’m gonna keep it simple and short about BN (at least I will try) cause the album is very much non-inspiring at all. It’s far from those typical Mylène vibes and tracks that used to take me away from earth deep into her mysterious universe. Instead I found myself listening to music from the 90’s and even worse: not liking it. There’s simple and cheap beats, old fashioned melodies and silly loops, vocal editing like we used to hear 15 years ago, the Moby style is getting on my nerves as nothing really cool happens, the sound doesn’t match expectations one is allowed to have in 2010… Luckily there are some positive moments as well, let’s mention those as well cause it saves my 20 euros a little bit… ‘Moi Je Veux’ sounds lovely in my car, singing along before you know, let’s be honest: Mylène’s voice is absolutely terrific and the producers have even lifted her natural qualities to extreme good sounding levels. Really? Yep. Even the song “N’aie Plus D’Amertume” will grab you and move you intensely…At last! Let me put this into perspective: I’m not worried about her voice, I’m worried about the producers and instrumental settings. This is all very ‘bleu’ and very ‘noir’. I doubt this has been the intention for this production but hey… if this was the idea in the first place, well they succeeded!

Couple of songs in particular under review:

‘Bleu Noir’ - the title song turns out to be a dull and bad orchestred song with a Karaoke feel to it. No quality mix within 40 miles distance. Do you see it?

‘N’aie Plus d’Amertume’ - there’s light… probably the best song on the album. Love the melancholic twist, is she back…? Mylène’s voice grabs you and moves you, except for the ‘Moby-style’ piano chords. But let’s try and stop thinking too much.

‘Toi l’Amour’ - listen to the sound at the beginning of this song and you’ll know what I mean with music I’ve left behind years ago … Moby picks it up again. Bad boy!

‘Lonely Lisa’ - …is that distortion I hear during the chorus? Or is it the verse? Lost now… many ideas all stuffed into one track. It’s a catchy one you might like and it has definately hit potential. Mylène’s voice saves the song… she’s got that unique quality! Mr. RedOne puts a stamp on the track with steady beats.

‘Light me Up’ - (the English is kind of emberrassing sometimes but it will grown on you) Ongoing loops and patterns almost injured my vains, there’s no real ‘lighting up’ possible if you ask me, the producer should be a bit ashamed, though the melody sticks in my head so there’s something positive, good, I might even like the song!

‘Leila’ - makes me mad. Crazy chords and cheap string sounds with no dimension nor dynamics. Nice try with the multi-vocals calling ‘Leila’ but if i were Leila I’d walk away. The base line can’t hold the song. The chords sound simple and loop for ages… It’s as dry as over cooked turkey. But if that’s the idea behind the song, it succeeded.

‘Diabolique Mon Ange’ - intense vocals to begin with so one has hope! However, incoming beats and loops in a totally out-of-balance mix including strings as bad as snow on a hot summer ground, breaks are terrible, ‘Tic Tac’… is it over yet?

‘Inseperables’ - Mylène and I we used to be. This feels indeed like hell as she sings in this final track. My…you could have done so much better! For an even worse effect there’s the English version right after this song so I had to listen twice… I stopped the cd player before ending the song.

Mylène, Mylène, … what are you doing? Where’s the real quality music? Where’s the real Farmer? Where’s the musical drug and adventure? Don’t let yourself in with guys like Moby and Darius? You are not Lady Gaga so drop RedOne as well! Take it easy, remember who you are and have a glass of the best Chateauneuf-du-Pape with Laurent and start writing your next album with him please, straight from your heart, you can do it! Hey, there’s some very cool moments on this album but in general I simply can’t give it more than 2 out of 5 stars. After hearing tracks more and more I’m sure it will grown on you, like it’s doing with me as we speak, I even edited this review after first posting earlier this morning: I’ve had very cool moments, kind of funny after a fourth hearing session, played it loud in my car, no matter the production team, they can’t ignore her magic voice!!!

Why this review here at Spacemusic.nl ? Because I care. Because I am u huge fan of Mylène and I travel the world to see her concerts. I have all her albums, I can dream her music but now… I wake up from a bad dream: is this really her new album?

Well, it will save me from a couple of hundred euros for a concert/hotel arrangement in 2011 that’s for sure. I’d better spend it on good wines and great movies.

- a fan for over 22 years

After a quick dinner I decided to take my car to the Ahoy area…. it had started freezing and the last thing I wanted was, after being in the heath for at least 2 hours, catch a cold on the bike on my way back home. Hmm, one thing that was totally crazy: parking costs at the Ahoy…. they ask 11,- euros for that so I was lucky knowing Rotterdam well. In about 3 minutes from the parking area one can park for free so keep it in mind when visiting. I entered Ahoy Arena around 7:15pm. The show started a bit after 8pm. Jean-Michel entered the concert hall from the back door which was very funny! He started shaking hands with the audience, how cool’s that? I was busy with a new camera and the darn thing could not focus quick enough so I’m afraid there’s no picture of the man’s entrance…. perhaps next time.

Familiar songs, familiar sounds, amazing visuals, fantastic atmosphere! Though I have heard most of the tracks at least a thousand times Jarre and his band certainly know how to twist the songs and make them sound intriguingly fresh again. My first time hearing the Laser Harp LIVE in a concert area… it’s simply beyond any words! THE LOWWWW frequencies makes you shiver, tears and goose bumps guaranteed. And after last night I finally understand the Theremin instrument… it goes deep.

So, please do watch the video we have made out of some photos and video clips. It’s posted on Youtube, VIMEO and Blip.tv is uploading as we speak. It’s not the real DTS Master Audio but.,… it works!

Thanks for a fantastic show Jean-Michel!

Being a fan of Underworld for at least 20 years now, we proudly present the new release “Barking” on our show! Soon after we noticed this new album we ran to our local store an bought it. Of course we did some pre-listening to the iTunes Store 30-second snippets before doing so…The album is good! Past, present and future come together during this 9 track story; Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have been in music production for 30 years, they know how to entertain us. And please, have a good listen yourself before judging. We have read reviews out there, some of them really good, unfortunately a bunch of reviews being completely untrue and not understanding the vibes that Underworld is so very keen on. The most funny review we found is posted by The Telegraph and it says: “There are a couple of vintage Underworld tracks but the album ends disappointingly with Louisiana, which is guaranteed to clear the dance floor”. We think that The Telegraph simply don’t get the story right here. The album “Barking” is not only about dance. And that’s a good thing! It’s not only about uplifting tracks, we can hear a story about the old, the new and what might be expected. The truth is, we are happy that Underworld is not doing the uptempo thing the entire album. There’s other ways to go there and to fill the ‘dance floor’all night long!

I like the Dutch review at dance.nl much better, saying “Ja, Underworld klinkt zeker nieuw; van rauwe techno tot meeslepende trance en ambient, en tegelijk meer pop dan je ze in tijden hebt gehoord. Geweldige plaat.” In plain English that is: “Underworld sounds new; rough Techno to Trance and Ambient and more Pop than ever, great record”.

After we bought ourselves the original digi-pack in the local record store in Rotterdam (PLATO) being the one including the DVD video clips, we decided to contact OM-Records in the US. Big thanks to James @ OM-Records for his enthousiasm and understanding. And yes… we’ve got official permission to play some pieces of the “Barking” way of life. The release with many collaborations, just to name a few: Paul van Dijk, Mark Knight and D. Ramirez. We’re pretty sure our audience will like the taste of it.

Tune in to the Spacemusic podcast upcoming saturday september 25th 2010 for a party episode with Underworld!

ISS Progress 39 docked the Zvezda Service Module on sept.12 with food and supplies.....

music by RUDY ADRIAN - “Distant Stars” available on iTunes (click here) <<< About the album “Distant Stars” by Rudy Adrian - a Spotted Peccary /Lotuspike release:

The album began to take shape in 2008 when, as Rudy explains, “I found myself inspired to create some longer floating pieces that seemed evocative of exploring deep space, so I started experimenting with the idea of creating an album consisting entirely of dark, ‘deep space’ music.” The result of Rudy’s experiment is a bona fide spacemusic album with an honest purity that easily holds its own next to the true classics of the genre. The extensive electronic ambient spacescapes run deep with wonder and curiosity. At times the mood of the record is uncertain and foreboding as if to underscore the loneliness of the journey, while at other times the music is rich with restrained beauty and awe, hinting at the unseen marvels of the cosmos.

According to Rudy, “A reviewer once suggested that the best way to experience this sort of music is to lie in the middle of the room with the lights out. Whichever way we choose to listen to it, I hope it will assist our exploration of not only the imaginary outer reaches of space, but also our innermost thoughts.” Distant Stars is the artfully crafted realization of such a heartfelt inspiration.

Sunday morning after a good nite of sleep and a working week…had real Calzone for breakfast and hot tea. Reading the latest e-mail makes me realize I’m back @ the daily routines. There’s not much demo content coming in lately so we guess musicians are celebrating their holidays. Lucky for us Jennifer has sent us an e-mail with a link to Shamantis. And guess what? Bingo! Good music for our podcast. See details below.

Shamantis (Nick Pittsinger, 20) was born and raised on music and is an avid musician, composer/songwriter, and producer. He has had intensive jazz music theory training, and continues to push the envelope of sound by incorprating genres from traditional hindustani music to new and experimental forms of goa and down-tempo.

First of all let us thank our Executive Producers for this show, Patrick, Simon and Marcus, thanks to you this podcast/feed can be. Of course a big thanks to our listeners that also made their donations during the past few weeks, sometimes a dollar, sometimes 5 or 10 dollars, we appreciate your gifts and hope more people will follow you! It’s now august 2010 and we’ve come back from a fantastic UK trip. We have visited Eastbourne, Portsmouth, Southampton, the Isle of Wight, Weymouth and Portland…. Long walks on the Isle of Wight have inspired us for this specific podcast: The Needles is the outer West Wight: it is a row of three distinctive stacks of chalk that rise out of the sea off the western extremity of the Isle of Wight, England, close to Alum Bay. The Needles lighthouse stands at the end of the formation. Built in 1859, it has been automated since 1994. The formation takes its name from the former fourth needle-shaped pillar called Lot’s Wife that used to stand in its midst until it collapsed in a storm in 1764. The remaining rocks are all short and squat and not at all needle-like, but the name has stuck. So will this music…

[03:15] - ROBERT DOUGLAS plays Almost Done

[10:06] - LOW ENERGY CENTER plays Beauty Everywhere

[15:36] - THE CIRCULAR RUINS plays Degrees of Separation

[21:54] - XERXES plays Prague

[32:10] - SAYCET plays Don’t Cry Little Girl

[46:25] - BIOSPHERE plays Heat Leak

Hi Spacemusic followers! How are you doing? I just got home from a UK trip, the South has been a wonderful experience I must say and I will certainly return for a longer stay. Eastbourne, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Portland and many places in between. I will upload photos to the Spacemusic Picasa site later this week, stay tuned for the link.

Now, being back in the studio again after a long time… it feels a bit strange but very familiar. Time to login to sites and blogs like this one to keep you posted. Hmmm, it is now that I realize what has been the pain for me while doing blogs, podcasts, hosting, archiving, organising etc. There’s so many networks and facilities to maintain! It’s absorbing many hours of work behind the scenes. Believe it or not but this morning it took me 2.5 hours of updating the Spacemusic App! That is moving posts away from the App manually, one by one, piece by piece and reloading the lists each time between removals. All this to keep the App from building up endless lists of episodes. Of course all shows will be archived via the regular RSS feeds of Season 1-2-3-4-5. And if you’re looking for anything in particular, just ask.

The good news is Spacemusic will start Season 6 soon…. About the content: 15 mins Coffee Breaks and x-mins Flying Dutchman series will return! CBs will be available via the Spacemusic RSS feed only while FD series will be posted to the Spacemusic App as well so your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad will be filled with some of the coolest new mixes! Of course the Spacemusic App has the benefit of providing you with very interesting bonus content; this can be music, video, wallpapers, pdf files etc. All this we do without cluttering your mobile device, all this exclusively via the Spacemusic App available on the iTunes Store HERE. Spacemusic App version 1.6.1 supports background playing, view extras per show/per episode, downloading shows, pdf files, adding shows as to your favorites, links to twitter, website etc. Check it out today!

This afternoon: going out to the beach and release the kite! More of studio work tonite/tomorrow. Stay tuned for more updates. ~TC
