Intro: The election process for school governing body members is in full swing after it commenced on March 1 at schools nationwide. Parents are urged to take part in the school governing election as new incoming members are advised to use their powers wisely. Joining us online is Mr Tony Marshall, Deputy Provincial Manager at Federation of Associations of Governing Bodies of South African Schools (FEDSAS) to unpack this discussion.

Kenmere Choir has won the Regstreeks in Harmonie television choral competition which was held in Pta last week. they won the Kyknet Sing in Harmonie competition in 2015 and yknet decided to bring all the series winners of the past 5 seasons together to compete in a winners against winners competition. what made this competition special was that it was broadcasted live on national tv. Not only did Kenmere win their category but was also crowned as the overall winner winning a brand new Bennie Dekker piano.

In July 2015 the first seeds were planted at a newly established, sustainable food garden at the Greenlands Primary School in Bishop Lavis. With almost 1000 learners from impoverished households, the school has taken ownership of the food garden in order to use its produce for a school feeding scheme which will benefit both learners and the local community.
