The Force of Truth Ministries is the personal ministry of the Rev David G. Farrow a Reformed Free Church Minister who now retired from the pastorate continues to defend the Authentic Christian Faith via the internet and itinerant preaching.
Abraham is called by God to separate from his old life and all its attachments and turn to a new life of faith in God.
Abraham was one of the great men of the Old Testament who lived a remarkable life of faith. Called by God to leave all and set out on a journey of faith, he didn't hesitate, but it was life that proved to be full of difficulties, and one that teach each of us a great deal about faith.
If you want to see an act of God's mercy at work then you need look no further than Genesis chapter 7. After the 120 years it took Noah to build the Ark and to preach the coming judgement of God, God still gave the people a further seven days before he sent the flood. This sermon reflects on those last seven days.
The first act of God's Goodness is His creation of the world. Having brought the world into being by the word of His mouth, God looked at His handiwork and declared it "very good". How could it be any other than that, for God Himself, is eternally good.
God's Goodness is also seen in His spiritual creation or redemption, it is through His goodness that He provided redemption at all ...... His goodness is also seen in that He sent His Son to redeem us on the Cross.
God’s attributes are those essential qualities that make Him uniquely God. They define who He is. They are the source of His actions: God acts as He does because of His attributes. Certainly, wisdom can be designated as one of these divine attributes, however, there is one supreme place that we may go to discover the wisdom of God par excellence. It is in the gospel of Jesus Christ that God's wisdom reaches its zenith. In Ephesians 3:10 - 12 Paul writes of God's wisdom in the gospel: "To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him".
If you were to look up the word “sovereign” in the dictionary, you would find words and phrases like “superior,” “greatest,” “supreme in power and authority,” “ruler,” and “independent of all others” in its definition. But the way I like to explain God’s sovereignty best is simply to say, “God is in control.”
There is absolutely nothing that happens in the universe that is outside of God’s influence and authority. As King of kings and Lord of lords, God has no limitations.Being sovereign means being the ultimate source of all power, authority, and everything that exists. Only God can make those claims; therefore, it’s God’s sovereignty that makes Him superior to all other gods and makes Him, and Him alone, worthy of worship.
God's holiness, more than any other of His attributes, exposes our miserable failure as human beings. Although we are created in the image of the holy God, we are hopelessly incompetent at living holy lives, thus we hide from God's holiness and like Adam and Eve, we try to find way of covering our sin by convincing ourselves that we have a righteousness that some how commends us to God.
The holiness of God is nothing to be trifled with. As with Isaiah and others who followed him, god's holiness should cause us to tremble. The apostle John writes in Revelation 15:4 "Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? For Thou alone art holy", it is to God's holy name that we are to give thanks.

What is Trinitarianism? What do we mean when we refer to God as a "Trinity" or "Triune"? If we are are to really understand God its important that we known as much about His attributes as we possibly can.This is the first in a series of sermons set at discovering as much as we can about the attributes of God, and where better to start than seeking to understand that God is three Persons in one essence, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
How does God fulfill His promises? He proves Himself, His Word and power. God uses His power to do exactly as He has promised. God kept His Word. Note how the Word of God is stressed. God had promised a son to Abraham and Sarah, and He gave them a son. He did exactly what He had promised He would do.
The one thing in life that Paul sought was the righteousness and perfection of Jesus Christ. He knew that no matter how good he could become, he could never become perfect. He still came short and he was still doomed to face death. Therefore, his only hope for living forever was the righteousness and perfection of Jesus Christ. He had to trust Christ; he had to focus his heart and life—all he was and had—upon Jesus Christ. He had to trust the righteousness and perfection of Jesus Christ to cover him. As clearly seen throughout this whole passage, Paul's great pursuit in life was to know Christ. These verses spell out exactly what he meant by knowing Christ. To know Christ is to know the power of His resurrection, to know the fellowship of His sufferings, to be made conformable to His death. Paul pressed on toward the goal, toward God's purpose in Christ Jesus. What is God's purpose for us in Christ Jesus? It is to be conformed to the image of Christ—to be perfect even as He is perfect.
The cross of Christ is the only boast of a true minister of God, for there is no other approach to God. God accepts a person only if he comes to Him by way of the cross. There is no other way to become acceptable to God. Therefore, the true minister has no other message, no other truth of which to boast.
This sermon deals with one of the most beloved accounts of the resurrection story. It is an account of Jesus helping two ordinary persons who had lost hope and fallen into the pit of sadness and despair. Their experience was an immortal journey.
This Bible Study dealing with the Messiah's defence of Himself against His opponents is one of several studies based on the 12th chapter of Matthews gospel. Here the opposition to Christ reached its height in this event. Christ was scorned and diabolically attacked. He was blasphemed, not only accused, but charged with being of the devil. Again He kept calm and remained level-headed and went about proving that He was of God, the true Messiah. He answered the monstrous charge by giving four logical and irrefutable arguments, each one dealt with in this study.
Sin separates a person from God. God is holy, pure, and righteous; therefore, God can have nothing to do with sin. He has to judge and condemn sin. His holy nature demands it. But even more than this, God is love; He is merciful and gracious. God has to exercise His love toward man. Therefore, God has to execute justice on behalf of all who have been hurt and wronged by other people.This was the experience of the Israelites. They had just sinned, broken their commitment to God, disobeyed and rejected God. They had broken the Ten Commandments; consequently the judgment of God was about to fall upon Israel. But Moses had gone before God in behalf of Israel: he had prayed and prayed, asking God to forgive Israel. This chapter in Exodus shows Moses still before God, still seeking God to forgive and restore His people into His favour.
This sermon continues looking at the Five Steps to Renewal that we find revealed in Exodus chapter 34. The people had committed a terrible, appalling sin. They had broken the Ten Commandments; they had disobeyed and rejected God. But here God is seen reaching out, taking the initiative to renew the covenant between Himself and the people, seeking to re-establish their relationship. To do this, the terms of the covenant, of the relationship, had to be recovered.
One of man's greatest needs is to know this one truth: he can start all over again; he can make a new beginning; he can have a brand new life. No matter how terrible the sin or shame, how horrible the failure or devastation, how tragic the suffering or pain, how helpless or hopeless the situation—no matter what the problem or trial—man can start all over again. He can have a new beginning for one simple reason: God loves him and cares for him. God wants to take care of him and look after him, delivering him through the trials that confront him.
There is nothing worse than a church that is in division,the church at Corinth was in a sad state. The fellowship among believers had deteriorated to such a degree that it was about to crumble and collapse. There was severe division and dissension in the ranks believer stood against believer, and there was no give in any corner. Disaster was about to strike; the church was divided and a severe split was threatened.This was the first problem dealt with by Paul. It had to be dealt with first, for a house divided against itself cannot stand,this sermon looks at Paul's approach to the situation and teaches us all some very important lessons.
Isaiah 53 is the summit, the Mount Everest of biblical prophecy. In this chapter, the Saviour of the world is seen suffering for the sins of the human race, and the scene and meaning of His death are described in surprising detail. For true believers, Isaiah 53 is one of the most heartbreaking yet cherished passages of Scripture, for it describes the brutal treatment and horrible sufferings Christ endured on our behalf.

They are kept in faith by the power of Almighty God and thus persevere to the end. This is what is referred to as the Perseverance of the Saints.

When God calls his elect into salvation, they cannot resist. God offers to all people the gospel message. This is called the external call. But to the elect, God extends an internal call and it cannot be resisted. This call is by the Holy Spirit who works in the hearts and minds of the elect to bring them to repentance and regeneration whereby they willingly and freely come to God.
