A small rework of KYTRND – Do It.I’ve always loved the groove and wanted to hear it in a slightly different space, so I made this version for my DJ sets and decided to share it here with you.As usual, this is an unofficial remix — just a personal reinterpretation for the dancefloor.Hope you enjoy it.

Por casualidades de la vida he hecho un rework a un artista multidisciplinar colombiano llamado Nemessio. El tema se llama “Hey Hey”, un tema que fue publicado en un 7 pulgadas en el año 1978 y se consolido como una joya oculta del coleccionismo. Los chicos de Rocafort Records han querido traerlo a la vida de nuevo haciendo un re-master y repress en vinilo incluyendo mi rework, que podéis escuchar aquí. Doy las gracias a los chicos de Rocafort, Philippe e Ivan por haber accedido a contar conmigo y sobre todo a mi amigo Jose Barranquero que reconstruyó las guitarras de “Hey Hey” para el rework de una manera magistral. I'm here with some new material that I've been really looking forward to sharing with you.By a stroke of luck, I've done a rework of a Colombian multidisciplinary artist named Nemessio. The track is called "Hey Hey," a song that was originally released as a 7-inch single in 1978 and became a hidden gem for collectors. The guys at Rocafort Records wanted to bring it back to life by re-mastering and re-pressing it on vinyl, including my rework, which you can listen to here.I'd like to thank the guys at Rocafort, Philippe and Ivan, for inviting me to be part of this project. A special thanks also to my friend Jose Barranquero, who masterfully reconstructed the guitars for the "Hey Hey" rework. Hope you like it!

En esta tercera (y de momento última) entrega de The Lost Remixes, puedes encontrar un par de remixes que nunca fueron lanzados al mundo digital. El artista original es Beher3, Bernat Hernandez Trio, bajista, compositor, productor y además, amigo.En el año 2012, tras la vuelta de su experiencia vivida en Nueva York, lanza un doble CD titulado "Postcards From New York" , inspirado en la temporada que vivió en la ciudad americana. Solamente se puede encontrar aquí en bandcamp, en formato físico.beher3music.bandcamp.com/album/postcards-from-new-york"Staring At The Chrystler" es el tema que remezcle para este álbum, el cual esta incluido, pero aquí puedes encontrarlo re-masterizado y con una versión editada.El tercer componente de este pack es "2 Late 4 A Party" otra remezcla que me encargó Beher3 para un álbum que debería haber salido por el año 2014 o 2015, pero que está guardado en un cajón sin terminar. En este caso no es una remezcla en el sentido estricto de la palabra, ya que he usado algunas partes escondidas del tema sin dejar que suene la melodía original de la pieza, es mas bien un jugueteo con algunos de sus stems.Espero que os guste :)Mastered at www.humanmastering.audio
Aquí tenéis la segunda entrega de la colección "Lost Remixes". En esta ocasión he reunido un par de remezclas que en su día fueron entregadas a sus respectivos sellos pero que en los últimos años han sacado de sus catálogos.
You Got The Felling fue un remix que me encargaron en el año 2010 para el sello Mimosa Records, ahora mismo desaparecido por completo de tiendas digitales y redes sociales. El artista original se llamaba Dubsativa, ellos mismos gestionaban el sello si no recuerdo mal.
There Is No God de Henning Richter, fue un remix encargado por Timo Camilo, en el año 2011, para su propio sello 26 Teadrops International. El sello sigue en tiendas pero aparentemente ya no publican nada nuevo desde hace tiempo, además de haber hecho limpieza de catálogo. Este remix es uno de los tracks que han eliminado de su listado.

Esta es la primera entrega de la que será una serie de tres, por el momento, en las que incluiré remezclas que se publicaron hace ya mucho tiempo en sellos que ya han desaparecido o bien han hecho limpieza de catalogo y ya no están disponibles. También habrá tracks que se entregaron pero nunca se publicaron.
Aquí puedes encontrar un par de remixes que si salieron en su día pero que ya no están disponibles en las tiendas digitales.
"Sprinter" su original fue producida por el artista Mallorquín Pepe Arcade en su, por aquel 2007, Irdial Music. Mi remix lo produje de manera analógica, aún no contaba con un ordenador y un DAW, secuenciando varías maquinas con mi ATARI.
Allí por el año 2010 el duo británico The Disclosure Project (no confundir con Disclosure) me encargó la remezcla de su track "Stay", lanzado en su propio sello, ya extinto, Disclosure Records. Este remix si que lo hice con mi recién estrenado DAW :)
Espero que os gusten y que no suenen demasiado old school.

I made this track entirely from the scratch, each sound, each sample that Roger S. used or sampled 30 years ago. From my point of view the original track established the basis to the deep house style.

Spanish DJ, producer Mianyo returns to Piston with the superb Hurt My Eyes which features a fantastic vocal from J. Burnside and a host of solid remixes. Last time out, we were treated to the smooth vibes of his Breaking Bytes which was very well received. This one is his third release for us and, since 2014 he’s been an active producer for many other labels. He has seen releases on labels like Musex Industries and Azari Records. His tracks have been remixed by Oraa and Peter Ryan and he has turned his own hand to remixing other artists also. Great to have him back for more at Piston.
The Original Mix is a smooth, deep and mellow slice with nice drums and a groovy, infectious bassline. Sweeping chords add texture and colour to the sound, taking us deeper and deeper. The dry, intriguing vocal from J. Burnside gives the track a distinct, organic flavour and really locks you in to the narrative. Perfect fodder for the late-night sessions.
David Garcia aka Deephope is up first on remix duties. David is a DJ, producer who has released his music around the world on various labels where he shows his experience and it’s a pleasure to have him here at Piston. On the remix here, David opts for a straight-to-the-floor groove as tight drums are joined by crispy, shuffling hi hats, creating a solid rhythmic flow. A deep, powerful bassline rocks the low end while hypnotic keys draw us in. The vocal stands out beautifully, making this a definite must have.
GarcyNoise aka Ruben Garcia returns to Piston with a solid remix which is also backed up with an instrumental version. Last time out for Ruben was back in 2014 with his The Colour Of Your Heart. He set up his own label Justified Cause Recordings which has spawned a whole host of top talent and led to the formation of a sub label, Justified Entertainment which itself has a very impressive roster. Here, Ruben delivers a strong, dancefloor friendly slice filled with chunky beats and bright rhythm fuelled hats and percussions. The big focus lies in the intricate drum patterns and attention to detail in the keys that bring out a smooth garage vibe. The vocal adds weight to the groove, but if you’re only interested in the music, then we’ve included a vocal free, GarcyNoise Instrumental Remix.
Jules Heller aka Julio Guillen marks his Piston Recordings debut with his Closing Remix. A relative newcomer, Julio is fast gaining a solid reputation on the scene. He is also part of Elementsof and has enjoyed releases on several labels. We’re excited to have him on board. The perfect way to round up this solid release. Julio brings us deep down into the groove with slow-burner that will grab a lot of attention. Sub-level basses are joined by smooth, loungy beats. Rich keys strike a funky note as the vocal is eased into the track. An absolute must have for those lazy, chilled out sessions.
