Titeknots returns in 2017 with wide spectrum club music for more adventurous DJs and listeners. Pushing on with the themes established in previous releases, these tracks walk a twisting line between ambitiously expansive orchestral textures and physical, focused club productions. DJs across the spectrum have shown love to Titeknots – from Monki, Gilles Peterson and Phil Taggart on the Radio, to club favourites like Bonobo, Bondax, Mano Le Tough, Tom Trago and Flava D. These productions connect to people whether they are listening on headphones at home or pushing through big club crowds at peak time. “Mustard Flower” has been a key highlight of Titeknots DJ sets for a while now, with many crowd requests for info whenever it’s been played. Based around a hooky plucked riff, the track blossoms into a warm and euphoric leftfield dancefloor weapon. “Help Out When You Can” follows, with the focus now on a delicate piano melody. Surrounded by tough drums and soaring strings, this track shows off the widescreen sound palette and varied dynamic arrangements that are the Titeknots calling card.
