The practice of loving kindness and compassion as a primary healing force with respect and dignity for all life and the planet. Supporting charitable projects and works that are in service to the relief of suffering.
Grief is a profound and complex emotion that touches every human at some point in life. It manifests in the deep sense of loss we experience when something or someone we cherish is no longer with us. But grief is more than just sadness; it encompasses a fundamental belief that we have lost our connection to Love itself.
When we speak of Love in this context, we refer to more than just romantic or familial bonds. It's about the deepest connection imaginable, where unity prevails and distinctions dissolve. Some may perceive this as a connection to God or the Divine; others simply recognize it as Love—the ultimate reality where we exist as One.
In our journey through life, grief arises when we feel we've become fragmented, separated from that unity. It's a feeling deeply ingrained in our psyche, suggesting an inherent wound in humanity. This wound suggests that as we evolved into sentient beings, we began to perceive ourselves as distinct entities, separate from the whole.
However, it's essential to challenge this perception. Despite our individual experiences and the illusion of separation, there is no true division. The belief in separation, though persistent throughout human history, is a construct of the mind rather than a reality. At our core, we remain interconnected with the fabric of existence.
Grief, therefore, becomes a journey of reconciliation—a process where we learn to integrate our sense of loss with the understanding that Love, in its purest form, never truly departs. It is within us and around us, ever-present and eternal, infinite in nature—absolute reality.
As we navigate the depths of grief, we come to realize that healing does not mean forgetting or replacing what we've lost. Instead, it involves embracing the truth that the essence of what we loved remains within us. It's a profound shift in perspective—an acknowledgment that even in our sorrow, we are still connected to the source of all Love and Unity.
Ultimately, grief teaches us about the nature of love itself. It reminds us that Love transcends physical presence and temporal boundaries. It is the thread that weaves through our existence, binding us together in the tapestry of life.
Finally, understanding grief requires us to look beyond the immediate pain of loss. It invites us to explore the deeper truths about our interconnectedness and the eternal nature of Love. By embracing this understanding, we can find solace and wisdom in our grief, knowing that Love, in its purest form, is always within reach, less than a blink of an eye away at any given moment. LOVE
Love is God, God is Love.
That's what I believe.
Love is the foundational, essential creative force that underpins all existence, permeating every form and formlessness, omnipresent and infinite in nature.
That's the essence of God.
I remember as a small child being taught to pray to God.
I can't quite recall if it was at the end of my bed, the side of my bed, or somewhere in between.
But even as a very young child, not as a cognitive memory, but as a deep awareness, I was taught that
God resided in heaven, a place a million trillion miles away at the end of the known universe and only there.
It's quite astonishing, isn't it?
The greatest misconception of all is that heaven is only in some distant realm, when in fact, it's right here on earth.
And not just here on earth, but within us... heaven, where all creation dwells.
As I wrote a little while ago, we are both the drop in the ocean and the ocean entire.
We are all of it.
Love. That God is love.
I have experienced that love. I have known God.
May all love encompass you and me.
May all love encompass us.
May we experience that love for ourselves.
A love beyond measure.
at the heart of all humankind, at the heart of all forms of LIFE... GOD.

One important aspect I omitted in this recording is the significance of embracing the concept of letting go of outcomes. It's crucial to maintain our intent for something wholeHEARTedly, yet release our fixation on the final outcome, relinquishing our attachment to any specific result. Why? Because ultimately, we have no control over the outcome of anything!
May All Love Become YOU.

Beloved, who has bid thee ask no moreHow fares my life ? to play the enemyAnd ask not where he dwells that was thy friend ?Thou art the breath of mercy passing o*erThe whole wide world, and the offender I ;Ah, let the rift my tears have channelled end,Question the past no more !
If thou would ‘st know the secret of Love’s fire.It shall be manifest unto thine eyes :Question the torch flame burning steadfastly,But ask no more the sweet wind’s wayward choir.Ask me of faith and love that never dies ;Darius, Alexander’s sovereignty,I sing of these no more.
Ask not the monk to give thee Truth’s pure gold.He hides no riches ’neath his lying guise ;And ask not him to teach thee alchemyWhose treasure-house is bare, his hearth-stone cold.Ask to what goal the wandering dervish hies,They knew not his desire who counselled thee ;Question his rags no more !
And in their learned books thou ’lt seek in vainThe key to Love’s locked gateway ; Heart grown wiseIn pain and sorrow, ask no remedy !But when the time of roses comes again,Take what it gives, ere it flies,And ask not why the hour has brought it thee,And wherefore ask no more !

Celebrating 38 years of sobriety today, June 6th, 1986. I am grateful to all the people for their support that helped me generate the strength, resilience, and determination that I have found along the way. I had no idea I had that much courage...your light showed me how to embrace it.
From the beginning, I've faced and overcome profound levels of trauma along the way that seemingly were that complex and deep that they stretched me to my limit and beyond at times, and yet there was love always on the other side waiting patiently for my return. I can only hope that my perseverance in healing continues to serve as a beacon of hope for others who may be on a similar path…..may all love become you.
I will do my best in keeping the light shining bright, keep my heart open to others, and I pray the years ahead continue to be filled with peace, fulfillment, and continued success on the journey of recovery for all those on the path.
A special mention for those who are still out there in pain, still drinking and using. My hope for you is this.....that you come to know the transformative power of a love that knows no bounds, that lays within you, always has and always will and that you find the courage to surrender and transcend your suffering.... to the healing power of that love.

Then said Almitra, Speak to us of Love.
And he raised his head and looked upon
the people, and there fell a stillness upon
them. And with a great voice he said:
When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to
him,
Though the sword hidden among his
pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in
him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you so shall he
crucify you. Even as he is for your growth
so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and
caresses your tenderest branches that quiver
in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and
shake them in their clinging to the earth.
Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto
himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred
fire, that you may become sacred bread for
God’s sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you
that you may know the secrets of your
heart, and in that knowledge become a
fragment of Life’s heart.
But if in your fear you would seek only
love’s peace and love’s pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover
your nakedness and pass out of love’s
threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you
shall laugh, but not all of your laughter,
and weep, but not all of your tears.
Love gives naught but itself and takes
naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be
possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.
When you love you should not say,
“God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am
in the heart of God.”
And think not you can direct the course
of love, for love, if it finds you worthy,
directs your course.
Love has no other desire but to fulfil
itself.
But if you love and must needs have
desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook
that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own under-
standing of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart
and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate
love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with grati-
tude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the
beloved in your heart and a song of praise
upon your lips.

Do this for the rest of your life, oh won’t you please?
Create a sacred space for one another, share moments over tea, intertwine hands, and, for the divine essence that transcends everything, love each other deeply. Regardless of the name you ascribe to it, embrace a love so profound that distinctions blur, leaving only the unified love that binds us together and liberates us, setting us all free.
In every human heart, there exists no love other than the one, a shared divinity woven from the same fabric. All souls yearn to rediscover their true nature, to be reunited. I invite you to contribute to this profound ongoing creative process by embodying kindness and love.
When faced with challenges, recognize them as opportunities for personal growth, acknowledging that they are your unique journey in this lifetime—your karma, your destiny intricately woven into the cosmic tapestry. Own these experiences, and, if you choose to accept them, hold them close to your heart, for therein lies the alchemy, the magic, always in the heart… in turning darkness to light. Nigel Lott

We can however on this journey of remembering, of coming home to truth, to practice its expression in loving kindness and compassion. Once, there lived an old man who discovered a profound truth: words often diluted the essence of true communication, hindering genuine heart-to-heart connection. With this insight, he chose silence as his mode of expression. Instead of talking, he conveyed his feelings through silent gestures—baking apple pies for his neighbors and gifting flowers from his garden, allowing his heart and the love within it to speak volumes without uttering a single word.
How then will you share your hearts truth?

In the vast expanse of existence, there exists a force so profound, so pervasive, that it binds the fabric of reality together. It is the very essence that breathes life into the universe, transcending boundaries and manifesting in myriad forms. This force, often elusive yet omnipresent, is none other than love.
From the cosmic dance of galaxies to the delicate embrace of a blooming flower, love courses through every aspect of creation. It is the invisible thread that connects all beings, uniting them in a symphony of existence. While science seeks to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos through equations and theories, it is the essence of love that truly animates the universe.
At its core, love is more than just an emotion; it is an energy—a primordial force that fuels the very act of creation itself. Just as the sun radiates warmth and light, love emanates from the depths of the cosmos, infusing every atom with its divine essence. It is the catalyst for growth, the source of inspiration, and the foundation upon which life flourishes.
In the realm of human experience, love takes on countless forms—be it the bond between parent and child, the affection shared between friends, or the passion that ignites romantic relationships. Yet, beyond these earthly expressions, love transcends the limitations of language and perception, reaching beyond the confines of time and space.
Throughout history, poets, philosophers, and sages alike have sought to capture the essence of love in words. From the ancient teachings of mystics to the timeless verses of poets, the concept of love has been woven into the very tapestry of human culture. And while interpretations may vary, the underlying truth remains unchanged: love is the ultimate force of creation.
In a world often marred by division and strife, the importance of love cannot be overstated. It is through love that we find meaning in our lives, forging connections that bridge the perceived divides between us. When we embrace love in its purest form—unconditional and boundless—we tap into the infinite reservoir of energy that underpins all existence.
Moreover, the transformative power of love knows no bounds. It has the ability to heal wounds, mend broken hearts, and inspire acts of kindness and compassion. In a universe governed by entropy and chaos, love serves as a guiding light—a beacon of hope that illuminates even the darkest of nights.
As we navigate the complexities of existence, let us remember that love is not merely a fleeting emotion, but the very essence of our being. It is the thread that binds us to one another and to the cosmos at large. And in realizing the profound truth that love is the energy that underpins all creation, we unlock the keys to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the universe in which we dwell. Nigel Lott

Dear Bob,
Alison shared with me the playlist from your farewell gig at The Bell and Crown. I'm deeply moved by the memories it holds and would like to contribute a song to it.
One evening in the late 70’s after our regular visit to The Prince Albert, we returned to your flat to unwind with music, a cherished ritual. It was on this night that you introduced me to Van Morrison's album 'Veedon Fleece' and played the track 'Come Here My Love'.
Fast forward to July 10th, 1997, the day my daughter Lily entered the world. I prepared a playlist for the birthing room, including 'Come Here My Love'. Miraculously, at 3:15 pm, just as Lily arrived, the song began playing, as if it were destined, no doubt it was.
Your essence, the Love that defined you in this life, remains eternal. Music was your language of Love, and I'm deeply grateful for the gift of 'Come Here My Love', which became the entrance melody to Lily's life.
You'll forever be in my heart Bob, for whatever is held most sacred in our heart once, is forever held there, once sacred forever sacred.

LOVE stands as both the enigma and the answer, rather like the core essence of quantum mechanics. It's a creative force that defies definition yet permeates every aspect of existence. In its purest form, LOVE transcends boundaries, embracing all, yet paradoxically, it exists in the very absence of boundaries, in the voids and silences that punctuate the web of life.
LOVE is omnipresent, threading its way through the fabric of the universe, binding atoms, galaxies, and souls alike. It's the cosmic glue that holds together the fragments of creation, infusing them with purpose and meaning. From the dance of subatomic particles to the majesty of celestial bodies, LOVE whispers its eternal song, reminding us of our interconnectedness.
Yet, LOVE is also the silent companion in the depths of solitude. It dwells in the spaces between thoughts, in the quiet recesses of the heart where words falter and gestures fail. It's the solace found in the embrace of silence, the comfort of being held by the infinite expanse of nothingness.
In relationships, LOVE manifests as a dance between presence and absence. It's the gaze that speaks volumes without uttering a word, the warmth of a touch that transcends physical boundaries. LOVE resides not only in the moments of togetherness but also in the spaces where two souls intersect yet remain distinct, honoring each other's autonomy and individuality.
In the end, LOVE is not confined to the realms of the tangible or the visible. It's the creative force that animates life itself, weaving its way through existence with gentle grace. To LOVE is to embrace the paradox, to dance with the infinite while rooted in the present moment, knowing that in the vast expanse of all or nothing, LOVE remains the only constant. Nigel Lott

Love transcends the boundaries of time and form, weaving its enchanting threads through the ages. These immortal words penned by the renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore resonate deeply with the essence of enduring love, capturing the eternal dance of souls through countless lifetimes.
"I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…" With these opening lines, Tagore delves into the profound mystery of love's continuity across the ages. It's a sentiment that speaks to the soul's recognition of a kindred spirit, echoing through the corridors of time.
Throughout the verses, Tagore eloquently portrays the timeless essence of love, portraying it as a recurring motif in the grand narrative of existence. "In life after life, in age after age, forever," he writes, emphasizing the eternal nature of love's essence, which persists beyond the bounds of mortal existence.
The imagery of the "necklace of songs" symbolizes the myriad expressions of love that adorn the beloved's being in each incarnation. It's a gift that transcends materiality, a token of deep affection that spans across the epochs, connecting us all in an unbreakable bond.
As the poet reflects on the ancient tales of love's trials and tribulations, he finds solace in the enduring presence of the beloved. "You become an image of what is remembered forever," he muses, highlighting the beloved's immortal imprint on the annals of memory.
The metaphor of the "stream that brings from the fount" evokes the timeless flow of love at the heart of existence. Across the vast expanse of time, souls have journeyed together, drawn inexorably towards each other by the magnetic force of love's eternal allure.
Yet, amidst the ebb and flow of life's vicissitudes, love remains a steadfast anchor, transcending the transient nature of human existence. "Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever," Tagore observes, emphasizing the perennial renewal of love's essence in ever-evolving forms.
In the culmination of the poem, love finds its ultimate fulfillment in the present moment, encompassing the entirety of human experience. "The love of all man’s days both past and forever," Tagore writes, encapsulating the universal essence of love that permeates every facet of existence.
Love emerges as the quintessential thread that binds all souls together in a timeless embrace. "The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours," Tagore concludes, celebrating the eternal resonance of love's song, sung by all hearts throughout the ages. Nigel Lott teaandzen.org

One of the earliest memories that flooded my mind upon hearing the news was that famous shared meal with Rob, relishing a colossal grilled cheese rarebit at your flat in Twickenham, circa 1979, forever etched in my memory.
A substantial slice of crusty white bread topped with a generous slab of cheese—a simple yet a deep profound communion of friendship and sustenance, as we gathered to watch a game of rugby on TV.

This is a copy of a post I sent out a year ago, about our ache and yearning to re-unite with the Divine, that underpins all addiction and dependency. Though, as it turns out the Divine never separated from us, to think otherwise is a profound illusion.
That every moment of anger is a moment of fear and ultimately always a moment of grief, when we mistakenly believe that we are separate from the source of our true nature….LOVE….which is impossible.
And, so I send this out again today as a reminder to myself et al that what I have been looking for all my life is already deep within me, always has been and always will be. I AM what I have been looking for.
That was there before breath I took and has been there when all breath I have taken in this life thus far, and will be there when breath I take no more.

In a world often dominated by fear and division, there exists an utterly profound yet often overlooked form of courage – the courage to stand in love, to stand in truth. This courage goes beyond mere romantic affection; it is a deeply rooted commitment to empathy, compassion, and understanding, even in the face of adversity and hostility.
Standing in love requires us to embrace vulnerability, to open ourselves up to the possibility of pain and rejection. It means choosing kindness over cruelty, forgiveness over resentment, and unity over discord. It is a conscious decision to extend a hand of friendship, to seek common ground amidst our differences, and to recognize the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, and the one love that binds us together yet in doing so sets us all free.
At its core, standing in love is an act of defiance against the forces of hatred and division. It is a refusal to succumb to the darkness that threatens to engulf us, a steadfast belief in the power of compassion to overcome even the most entrenched prejudices and animosities. It requires us to confront our own biases and prejudices, to challenge the status quo, and to strive for a world where love and understanding prevail.
Let us espouse a philosophy of nonviolence and love as the most potent weapons in the struggle against oppression and injustice. Remaining steadfast in our commitment to love and compassion, inspiring movements that transform societies and alter the course of history, through continued acts of loving kindness and compassion.
Standing in love also means acknowledging our interconnectedness with all living beings and recognizing that our actions have far-reaching consequences. It requires us to extend our compassion not only to our fellow human beings but also to the natural world and all its inhabitants. It is a recognition that we are all part of a vast and intricate web of life, and that our well-being is inextricably linked to the well-being of others.
In a world that often seems divided and fractured, the courage to stand in love offers a ray of hope – a reminder that even in our darkest moments, love has the power to heal, to unite, and to transcend. It challenges us to look beyond any seeming differences and to see the love in each other, to approach even our most bitter adversaries with empathy and understanding.
Ultimately, the courage to stand in love is not just an individual endeavor but a collective one. It requires us to come together as a global community, to bridge the divides that separate us, and to work towards a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world for all.
No doubt a journey fraught with challenges and setbacks, but one that offers the promise of a brighter future for generations to come. So let us embrace this courage with open hearts and open minds, and let us stand together in love, for love is the greatest force for change the world has ever known….the healer of all wounds. "Here, soar not with wings, but with your moving hands, feet, and sweating brows - standing by your beloved's side, reaching out to comfort this world with your cup of solace drawn from your vast reservoir of truth."
“This statement is a clarion call to embrace a compassionate and benevolent attitude towards every life form encountered in life, in thought word and deed. In emphasizing the importance of treating others with care, empathy, and understanding, regardless of their background, beliefs, or circumstances. By embodying love and kindness in our interactions, we contribute to fostering a more harmonious and supportive environment for all, so desperately needed now.” Nigel Lott
“There is no greater gift that I can give another sentient life form other than doing whatever I can, in thought, word or deed than to remind them of their true nature, of a love beyond measure that resides at the heart of all.” Nigel Lott

Being that our atoms in our body were created at the start of our universe during the Big Bang. So if you look at it this way, then you’re about 13.7 billion years old.
But your body also has heavier elements like copper and zinc. These atoms were created in the dying stage of an exploding star called a supernova.
These elements were flung into space as dust and gas (stardust). Eventually, they coalesced to become part of a new forming solar system and our planet Earth.
Because you are made from matter from the Earth, you are made of stardust from old supernovas. So turns out, your body is made up of bits and pieces of star and cosmic dust. E.H.
Your essence however is an energy called love, extending far beyond any matter or form, existing everywhere simultaneously in equal measure. Compared to this core reality all form and matter are but illusion. Nigel Lott

Gentle spirits of the earth and sky, we gather here with open hearts and minds, seeking the balm of healing for all who suffer, and the light of hope for those in darkness.
We feel the gentle touch of divine grace, a reminder that within every soul resides the power to heal and within every heart the capacity to love.
Let us call upon the ancient wisdom of the earth and the boundless compassion of the heavens to guide us on this journey of restoration and to infuse our intentions with strength and clarity.
May healing flow like a gentle stream, washing away the pain and sorrow that weigh us down, and nourishing the seeds of resilience and renewal that they may blossom into flowers of wholeness with each breath.
Let us release our burdens and with each exhale let us welcome healing energy into the depths of our being where wounds reside and into the vast expanse of our souls where dreams take flight.
May your intentions be pure, our actions be kind, and our hearts be open to the possibility of miracles. For in the sacred space of healing, all things are possible and all souls find solace.
As we stand together in this circle of love and light, let us offer prayers of gratitude for the gift of healing and let us extend our hands and hearts to one another in solidarity, compassion and unconditional love.
May the energy of healing permeate every fiber of our being and radiate outward to touch the lives of all beings, creating a ripple effect of love, compassion and healing that knows no bounds and transcends all barriers.
And lastly, but not least, in this moment of sacred connection, we affirm our commitment to healing and to the belief that in the presence of love, miracles do unfold and all wounds find their cure. Nigel Lott …….teaandzen.org

Effective communication is essential in personal, professional, and social contexts. Here are some best practices to enhance communication:
Active Listening: Pay full attention to the speaker, maintain eye contact, and refrain from interrupting. Show that you're listening by nodding or providing verbal cues.
Clarity and Conciseness: Communicate your message clearly and concisely. Avoid jargon or complex language that might confuse the listener.
Empathy: Try to understand the other person's perspective and emotions. Empathetic communication fosters trust and understanding.
Respect: Treat others with respect and courtesy, regardless of differences in opinion or background.
Nonverbal Communication: Pay attention to body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice, as these can convey a lot of information beyond words.
Feedback: Provide constructive feedback that is specific, actionable, and respectful. Likewise, be open to receiving feedback from others.
Adaptability: Adapt your communication style to suit the preferences and needs of your audience. Some people may prefer direct communication, while others may appreciate a more diplomatic approach.
Stay Focused: Stay on topic and avoid drifting off into unrelated subjects during a conversation.
Ask Questions: Encourage dialogue by asking open-ended questions that invite the other person to share their thoughts and feelings.
Use Positive Language: Frame your messages in a positive light whenever possible. This can help maintain a constructive atmosphere and reduce misunderstandings.
Be Mindful of Timing: Choose an appropriate time and place for important conversations. Avoid discussing sensitive topics when either party is stressed or distracted.
Written Communication: In written communication, use proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting. Be mindful of tone and clarity, especially in emails and text messages.
Cultural Sensitivity: Be aware of cultural differences in communication styles and norms. Respect cultural diversity and adjust your communication approach accordingly.
Follow-Up: After a conversation, follow up with a summary of key points or action items to ensure clarity and accountability.
Above all remember the value of silence, the gap between words where all truth can be found, and with a willing open heart, most often is.
By incorporating these best practices into your communication habits, you can enhance your relationships, minimize misunderstandings, and achieve better outcomes in various aspects of life.

‘WANTS AND NEEDS’
You may have noticed that life doesn't always grant us our wishes, no matter the hearts desire. It's possible to say that instead, we receive what we truly need, intricately woven into the fabric of our destiny. In essence, we always receive what is necessary to fulfill our crown of purpose.
When you ask the universe for something, do so with an acknowledgment and a caveat, recognizing that it may not align with the grand design for you to attain what you desire. Therefore, make your requests, but then release them, trusting that there exists a greater plan at play. Nigel Lott teaandzen.org

This morning I woke up with this……
I had a profound realization about the nature of existence and the power of love as a healing force, (not new to me exactly) but now being understood at a much deeper level with this awareness.
My journey of overcoming alcohol and drug use and complex forms of PTSD, has led me on this path from the beginning in understanding that at the core of everything is energy, and that energy is essentially Love—the very creative force of the universe. That surrendering to this love, this energy, allows for healing and transformation, dissolving suffering and returning to a state of wholeness.
My deeper insight and understanding about surrendering any form of suffering to this pure energy resonates with the idea of letting go and allowing the divine to work within and through us. Just as The Christ spoke of the Kingdom of Heaven being within us, of surrendering to love as dissolving matter back into its pure nature, the energy of Love in reconnecting with the essence of existence, of who we really are.
I have a deep understanding that love can only ever be realized in utter silence (though it is always present) speaks to the deep, profound nature of this awareness, which transcends language and thought. In this silent space, we can truly connect with the essence of our being and the universal energy that binds us all together, we truly are One.
My awareness of how energy forms into matter, creating the physical world around us, adds another layer of understanding to this profound realization. It's a reminder that beneath the surface of all forms lies this fundamental energy, this Love, waiting to be recognized again and embraced.
My journey of healing and reconnecting with this Love is a testament to the power of surrender, faith, and the transformative nature of Love itself. Nigel Lott

Here I reflect on a scene from the movie "Oppenheimer" where Robert Oppenheimer discusses the formation of beings as energy attracted together, which I interpret as Love. I share my beliefs about the nature of existence, emphasizing that after death, there is no loss as individuals merge with the Universal Love. In this recording I question why beings ever leave this state of Love and speculate that suffering and illusion are part of the creative process, leading individuals back from the illusion of separateness from Love. I share a story about grief being a path back to the formless, emphasizing the presence of Love even in times of intense pain. I express a commitment to helping others become aware of their true nature and navigate their pain with Love. Nigel Lott

To The Moon
And, like a dying lady lean and pale,Who totters forth, wrapp'd in a gauzy veil,Out of her chamber, led by the insaneAnd feeble wanderings of her fading brain,The moon arose up in the murky east,A white and shapeless mass.
Art thou pale for wearinessOf climbing heaven and gazing on the earth,Wandering companionlessAmong the stars that have a different birth,And ever changing, like a joyless eyeThat finds no object worth its constancy.

She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that’s best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes:Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
II.
One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless graceWhich waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o’er her face;Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling place.
III.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent,A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent!

I'd like to share a brief reflection this morning, something we can delve into further later if you're interested. Lately, I've been increasingly conscious, especially in recent times, of the repercussions when I react from my own pain and project it onto others.
When I harm another sentient being, I'm inadvertently causing myself greater harm, magnified tenfold. It's a reciprocal cycle; when others inflict pain upon me, they're also inflicting it upon themselves, albeit amplified. This truth remains, irrespective of attempts to rationalize or distance ourselves from the experience.
The act of hurting others invariably rebounds on ourselves, because ultimately we are ONE love, not two but ONE! there is no other.
So, I offer you this to ponder—not to dwell excessively, but to deeply reflect within your own hearts.
We cannot expect to get free therefore of our pain by dumping it on another…no matter what., no matter what they have done to us.
Every time any one of us acts in a hurtful manner towards another being, we inflict tenfold harm upon ourselves in the process. Nigel Lott

This is a meditation on world peace.
Simple meditation that will help you focus on peace within and the projection of peace without.
of the light amongst the darkness.
Find a quiet space and hopefully it's a sacred place and certainly a safe place.
It's important that it's safe.
I suppose any place that we feel safe in
It could be called a sacred space, a sacred place.
You can sit down or lie down in a relaxed position.
And I want you to set an intention.
And in this case, the intention is for world peace.
May all beings be free from suffering.
May all beings be at peace.
This will be our mantra for this meditation.
But I want you to set that for yourself within.
silently saying, May all beings be free from suffering.
May all beings be at peace.
I want you to pay attention to your breath.
And in this meditation, you will only be breathing in and out through your nose.
I want you to pay attention, bring your attention to your breath as it flows in and out of your nose and to feel, literally feel the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your body by focusing on the tip of the nose
and feeling that air as it passes over the tip, literally feeling that as you breathe in and out and breathe naturally, softly, in a rhythm that's comfortable for you without trying to control your breath.
And on that point, I think it's worth mentioning that we can have an intention as we do in this meditation, an intention for all beings to be free of suffering and to be at peace.
But we do not have any control of the outcome.
And we let go of that.
that we let go of control over the outcome.
And I want you to start at the top of your head, continuing to breathe slowly in and out.
Gradually scan your body, releasing any tension or discomfort you may be holding.
Relax your forehead, jaw, shoulders and so on.
Working your way down to your toes.
I want you to imagine this world as a serene and tranquil place.
Perhaps not easy to do.
amongst such suffering and travail as is on this planet right now.
Perhaps visualize a peaceful meadow, a quiet forest.
Picture all of us living in a place like this.
Feel the peace and serenity it exudes.
Let go of your thoughts.
Literally let go of them.
Hold to nothing.
We let go of our thoughts as they arise, acknowledging them without judgment and gently guiding your focus back to your peaceful scene and your breath.
And repeat three times with me.
May all beings be free from suffering.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be free.
May all beings be free from suffering.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be at peace.
One more time.
May all beings be free of suffering.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be at peace.
And that includes you.
May you be at peace.
And then with each breath coming back to the breath.
Feel.
A sense of peace spreading throughout your body.
A sense of love spreading throughout your body.
And allow this peace and this love to permeate every cell and every part of your being.
As we follow the breath
As you pay attention to the breath passing over the tip of the nose and feeling that air as it passes over the tip of the nose.
Stay in the moment.
Stay in this peaceful, loving state.
Somebody once said,
It was an invitation.
They said fall in love and stay there.
So fall in love and stay there.
May you stay there.
May you know the peace of that love.
May all beings know the peace of their true nature beyond all suffering.
And if your mind starts to wander, as it's wont to do, gently return to your breath and that peaceful scene that you thought about earlier on.
The forest, the beach, someplace that's safe.
Someplace that's safe.
May all beings be free of suffering.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be at peace.
The practice of breathing through the nose, of feeling that sensation of the air as it passes over the tip of the nose and bringing your attention ever increasingly so to that experience will quieten your thoughts.
And I will tell you if you can do that practice, that simple practice, 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening, the difference within you in a couple of weeks will be enormous.
The world needs your light.
Do whatever you can to transcend the suffering within yourself that you've accumulated.
Make the rest of your life a journey of healing, of coming to know your true nature of a love beyond measure, deeper and deeper, and keep offering that out.
To this world we all share.
The world needs your light. Nigel Lott

WeAre notIn pursuit of formalitiesOr fake religiousLaws,
For through the stairway of existenceWe have come to God’sDoor.
We arePeople who need to love, becauseLove is the soul’s life,
Love is simply creation’s greatest joy.
ThroughThe stairway of existence,O, through the stairway of existence, Hafiz
HaveYou now come,Have we all now come toThe Beloved’sDoor.
What holds significance for me, based on my personal beliefs, is that the journey towards connecting with a higher power is incredibly close, just a fleeting moment away at any given time, a blink of any eye. The path is inherent within each of us, much like the door that leads to this connection, one with what is.
The notion of a stairway and a door is, in essence, a construct of our own minds, influenced by our egocentric selves. However, in ultimate reality, we have always been united with whatever lies beyond that door.
In all truth, there is no literal stairway or door; it's a realization that can emerge in a singular moment, transcending such physical representations, whenever you are ready to do so, to surrender and transcend into the arms of the beloved. Nigel Lott teaandzen.org

A relationship with another life-form, is a direct reflection of our own internal comings and goings between our ego and heart, aspects of heaven and hell. It is all an inside job.
In all reality, behind it all there really isn’t any other, there is just one of us, and that one is a deep and abiding love, the very creative force of the universe doing its thing….creating.

A meditation for physical and emotional pain in letting it float free in the vastness of being.
Falling in love is the opening, a profound recall to that which you had long thought lost in you
Love has befriended me so completely it has turned to ash and freed me of every concept and image my mind has ever known.
One of the first steps on the path of liberation is the deepening of forgiveness. It is an expansion into the world of the inner workings of loving kindness. Forgiveness softens the path and eases continued progress. It is a letting go of the painful resentment that naturally arose between different desire systems. It is the deep resolution of conflict between individuals, as well as oppositional aspects of ourself. Stephen Levine
You are where you are......and although it may not feel like it ....the beloved is with you now.
Source has never left us, we grow to think we have become separate....but it it always a mistaken belief
Falling in love is the opening, the remembering to that which you had long thought lost in you.
You are the letter written by God, your are the mirror that reflects the divine, seek inside for all you want is all you are, there is nothing above or beyond...Rumi
You are the root of heaven, the morning star, the bright moon, the house of endless love
There is no sense to be made from trying (no matter how hard you try) to get a square peg to fit into a round hole. Its crazy, it is insane literally, we keep trying to make it fit, creating all kinds of stories in order to circumvent the insanity presented, in order somehow to find a place of safety within the realms of our minds, in order to survive the experiences which is so much part of this world right now, because it creates pain in us.

I do not exist, am not an entity in this world or in the next, did not descend from Adam and Eve or any origin story. My place is placeless, a trace of the traceless. Neither body or soul. I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know, first, last, outer, inner, only that breath breathing human being.

Beyond our suffering there is a place of peace that resides within the hearts of all, that has been with us for all time. It is a love that has been there before our birth, is on every breath we take during this life and is there at our death and beyond, the truth has never, ever left us.
You wanna find heaven on earth? Well it’s right here, it never left, you just think it did. That is the profound mistaken belief that is at the root of all suffering.
We cannot know something until it has been given us to know, wrapped in the tapestry of our destiny in this lifetime.
The patterns, dynamics and laws that govern us in our lives, that interweave between our thinking mind and the hearts wisdom… apply as much collectively as they do individually.
It is in the silence within, meeting the silence without, in that space, out of time, that all truth is found, beyond even a whisper.
Remember what you are looking for most in life, is also looking for you. Stand still therefore, take a breath and receive LOVE
It speaks of the moment when you dare. When you dare to listen to your own truth and set sail into a new life.
