Agustin said"Thought this file was completely lost, but I casually stumbled upon it. There's a bit of history behind this: it's the original theme that was going to be played just before the shocking conclusion to Scratches. I particularly loved it because I felt it was super dark and moody, giving you the feeling that something truly sinister was just about to happen. However, Cellar of Rats decided that it didn't fit well with the rest of the soundtrack -- it was too synth-oriented, whereas the rest was definitely more orchestral. And that's why it was scrapped.Due to an unforeseen issue, CoR lost his original file and I thought my copy (which CoR sent me shortly after we wrapped up the project) was lost as well. But here it is -- one of my favorite tunes in Scratches... that never made it to the game."

“The angular structure of the institute emerges in the distance, revealing itself through the tangled limbs of sickly trees, and I wonder what I may find inside. I’m confident there will be a clue, something to explain what’s happening to me.”

“As I cross the endless corridors infected with the unbearable smell of humidity and dirt, I reflect on the strange circumstances. How is it possible that they’re admitting patients under these conditions? This is beastly treatment of human beings.”

“I don’t know where I am. Decay surrounds me. The few accessible rooms are littered with splintered pieces of broken furniture, rusty contraptions of ungodly forms, hellish drawings from the sick minds of past inmates... I keep walking, delirious with fear.”

“The truth hits me. Like acting on a primitive instinct beyond my control, I know what I have to do. I hope it’s my salvation. One last desperate attempt to break free from the shadow of atrocities performed in this odious place. Is that what she meant? Why am I doing this?”

“My heart pounds furiously as I realize that shortly after being exposed to these aberrations, patients would exhibit peculiar symptoms and an abnormal growth of tissue. Specifically, every member of therapy group E.”
