🎙🍀 Episode 10: The Bald Revolution 🍀🎙 In this episode's intro, we recap on my recent salmon escapade, pay tribute to Shawn Stevenson and cover the return of the cubs to their classroom. For the main, we dive into old remedies and concoctions used by the Vikings, Ancient Greeks and Egyptians along with exploring relevant statistics and surveys regarding hair loss in young men. I share my own personal encounter and experience with hair loss, the misconceptions held towards hair loss and provide an alternative view that hopefully contradicts the easy-out and potentially harmful stance of 'just go to Turkey and get a transplant' that men often face. Above all, this episode strives to comfort people going through a process which can often be overlooked and encourage you to do whatever it is you want to do regarding your hair whether it's beginning to recede, go thin or if it's growing magnificently. Who's the boss? You're the boss! Now go forth and be a defiant, beautifully bald being.

🎙🍀 Episode 9: Back amongst it! 🍀🎙
Back amongst it after a seven month lay off. Rusty, raw and full of anecdotes covering fish, Omega 3, shift in priorities, running 100 miles over the month of January for Alzheimer’s Society, the ongoing dodgy relationship with social media, Uncle Jamesy getting a while touch, butchering Jordan Peterson analogies and encouraging you to get out and clock up 10 minutes or so of the great outdoors.
It's great to be back.

🎙☘️ Episode 8: Unpacking Mr. Stack ☘️🎙
We’re here again, aren’t we? And isn’t it absolutely wonderful that we are! In this episode I had the greatest of conversations with a good friend of mine. It was an absolute pleasure having our Colm Stack selflessly open up and share his valuable knowledge and perspective with us.
The big stallion covers a wide range of topics spanning from how he started out in Co. Clare before upping and moving to ply his trade as a Maths teacher in a socio-economically deprived area of London, teaching strategies he learned and still uses and how he regards and values the lessons he has gained from mentors throughout the years. We also chat all things from what initially brought him to UAE and how he found settling into life through the help of the GAA community. Above all, Stack man’s intense focus on self-improvement and the detail he pays to ways he manages to consume knowledge relating to society, money, investments and future plans is simply inspiring.
A true gentleman and a practising scholar. This episode had my head spinning with knowledge afterwards and listening over it, I learned more than I first thought I did, such was the extent of information, facts and stats young Stack produces. It was genuinely a privilege to have on a mucker who spoke so passionately about his drive and desires in life.
Enjoy yourself, immerse your ears in the depths of Stack’s soothing brogue and do let us know what you make of the episode.
Lots of love until next time!
FROM JUNE 13th 2020
Over recent weeks we have seen the black community across America take a stand and declare that enough is enough after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota while being detained by police. Sadly, this is not the first time they have been forced to do so. However, through the power of technology and the way in which the world is now wired: everything reaches our screens within seconds. The black community have since been joined, supported and championed by many citizens of the world who also wish to see an abrupt end to racism, police brutality and inequality. This episode explores recent events from the perspective of a white Irish man. Initially apprehensive about recording this episode in fear of my true intentions perhaps not being portrayed, a friend of mine reassured me in his smooth Georgia accent: “Just speak the truth, brother”. I hope this episode rings familiarity to a few hearts, opens a few eyes and speaks to a few minds. You can expect to hear the odd flimsy fact, an anecdote or two of my time in Virgina on a J1 visa, studying American literature in a part-time manner, growing up surrounded by murals containing monumental black figures and feeling connected, the process of recognising you possess white privilege, discovering triggers to be a lovely indication we’ve got work to do, ways to educate ourselves, my recent obsession with the man, Malcom X and how racism is not simply just an American product. Instead, racism knows no borders or seas. This can be appreciated through recent reports and personal stories of ongoing racism across our country and indeed, the world from brave, proud, young black men and women. Finally, I cover ways in which we can all be more hands on towards racism. I wish to thank everyone for their support in the lead up to this episode and wish to encourage you to reach out to others in your circles and even me via Instagram on the matter after consuming this episode. I look forward to hearing from you. “There comes a time when silence is betrayal” - Martin Luther King Jr.
In this episode I had the pleasure of picking the brain of our very own Kieran McMahon. Many nuggets are to be found in this episode as Kieran sheds light on a wide range of philosophies regarding everyday life, work and, of course, health and fitness. More specifically, Kieran generously shares with us his story of living in Abu Dhabi for a decade before transitioning and following a dream of his which has led him to evolve greatly in his new field of expertise. Habit building, creating a winning mindset towards challenges and the ways to seek self-improvement are all discussed. Finally, we conclude the episode with a few quick fire questions and myth busters related to fitness which leads to even more high quality tips and advice from Mr. McMahon. I gained a lot from this episode and I hope it has the same affect on you.

Episode 5 is built upon strong intentions to explore ways in which we can make the most of our now and prepare for our future. Join me dipping deep into and being at ease with ourselves. Focus on the brilliance and creativity of a listener, gratitude, visualisation, habits and routine amongst other things.
In this episode, my aim is to gently divert your mind from the relentless coverage and minute-by-minute updates of the coronavirus and to instead decorate it with ‘potentially’ interesting facts, alternative thought processes and a few spontaneous rabbit-hole stories. Also, I share pages, people, tales and events which I have found enlightening and a sheer breath of fresh air over the past days and weeks. Remember, you’re doing a phenomenal job!
In Episode 3 we have the pleasure of being joined by our very own Gilly Gordon! A South-African musician/music teacher and very good friend plying his trade in the UAE. We discuss all things from going through rough patches in general life to individual motivation and goals we have. As always, very enlightening and great fun to be in the presence of the GG.
We are joined in our second episode by a very special guest, Emma. In this episode we talk all things related to moving from the UK to the Middle East.
Yes folks!
