Due to its specific shape, Morgan's house is known as "The Corner". In the first half of the 20th century, this was the site of Morgan's bank head office. One day somebody detonated a bomb right in front of the entrance of the bank. A lot of people were injured, but the offenders have never been found. New York City is an astonishingly beautiful city. No wonder that it inspired the creation of multitudeparallel worlds. Even if Batman and Superman exist in one of the parallel universes, everybody cansurely become a bit of a superhero by helping his neighbors. Everybody in New York knows the World Trade Center, mostly because of bleak events of September 11, 2001. That day Twin Towers were destroyed in terrorist attacks. Everybody knew, that the Waynes were the richest family in Gotham, but for some reason, instead of going by car with a personal driver or taking a taxi they decided to walk through a dark alley, where a robber attacked them and killed Bruce's parents right in front of him. Here you can see Central Park which is one of the biggest parks in the U.S. It is world-famous thanks to hundreds of films shot in it. The founder of DC Comics was a pretty interesting person. His name was Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson.He was an excellent rider from an early age so that neither of his relatives was surprised when he joined the U.S. Cavalry where he became one of the youngest majors. His military service was rich in events: he chased bandits on the Mexican border, fought fevers in the Philippines, led a battalion against the Bolsheviki in Siberia. After World War I Malcolm got married and started a family. The first office of the publishing house which released stories about Superman and other superhumanswas situated here, at 1700 Broadway. The publishing house was founded in the middle of 1930s andinitially bore another name – National Allied Publications.
