In this episode, you will hear a continuation of my conversation from last week’s episode with my therapist and coach, Dr. Janet. In Part 1 we discussed the events that led me to hitting my rock bottom and the person I was when Dr. Janet met me. In this second part of the series, you will learn the different stages of the therapy experience, how a gratitude practice completely changed my life, about my first Tony Robbins event, and so much more. You will continue to get to know me on a deeper level and how Dr. Janet’s expertise and guidance changed the trajectory of my life. Many people see me as the positive Nicole from my podcast and Facebook Group, but little do they know that I would not be that person today without therapy. Hopefully, this series continues to show you that there is no shame in going to therapy and seeking help even when you least want it.

As long as we all are continuing to strengthen our emotional fitness and work on our mind, soul, and body, we are making progress.

Welcome back to the Coach’s Corner with Dr. Janet Fienemann! This week, Dr. Janet and I are talking about the importance of recognizing your unmet needs and how they are influencing your thoughts and feelings.
In this episode, Dr. Janet and I are talking about an exercise that she calls “Mindfulness 101”. This exercise is to ask yourself and write down: what do you want, what do you feel, what do you think, and what do you need? We are conditioned from a young age to put others' needs before our own, leading to us not knowing what we want and wanting to make everyone around us happy. This conditioning leads to resentment and exhaustion because our needs are not being met. When you tune in to your own thoughts and gain clarity on how your unmet needs are impacting your feelings, you will see the value in prioritizing your needs.
Tune in to Episode 57 to learn how to become aware of your unmet needs with the Mindfulness 101 exercise!

What are your greatest fears and desires? If we only focus on our desires and never face our fears, our life is not nearly as rich as it could be. In 2021 let’s make sure to challenge ourselves, stand up to what scares us, and believe we can achieve it!

Is your social media feed inspiring and uplifting or negative and anxiety-ridden?
While social media can promote negativity, hate, and anxiety, it can also bring together great people to foster a positive and motivational environment. There are ways to set boundaries on social media to cancel out the negativity and focus on the positive, such as muting hashtags, unfollowing people who don’t inspire you, and limiting your screen time.

Joining me on the Podcast today is someone with an incredible story to share, Whitney Spotts! Whitney worked as a Physician’s Assistant in an ER before having a stroke that changed the course of her life. Her experiences have led her to adopting a truly admirable mindset and become an advocate for others who have been put under similar circumstances.
In this episode, we discuss why practicing gratitude is so imperative, what it means to ‘become better’, and what Whitney’s rehabilitation was like after undergoing a major emergency surgery. So often, we believe that we aren’t capable of achieving what we set our minds to because of what we’ve been conditioned to think, but as Whitney shares throughout our conversation, ‘impossible is only an opinion.’ She is a prime example of how our circumstances do not define us and how we as individuals have more power than we tend to think.

On this episode, I talk with Kevin Parker about his life journey thus far. Now, Kevin is a speaker, author, and coach, but the path to get here wasn’t easy. Today, it’s just me! I thought I would take some time to share my journey to getting where I am today and give my listeners a little more insight into my life. I’ve always been passionate about personal development and aim to support and inspire people who want to live their best life.

My life has been a series of ups and downs and the experiences I’ve gone through have been a huge influence on the career path I’ve chosen.
A huge inspiration behind the mindset I have today is Tony Robbins. When was the last time you extended grace and love to yourself?

Kesley is a life coach, Reiki Master, Astrologer, and co-founder of the group Shift Happens. Do you ever wonder if your dog actually understands what you’re saying to him?
Here’s the truth: they understand your energy behind your words and actions. A happy “Good boy!” will result in a joyful, jumpy pup – but it’s all about the energy behind your words.
Greg DiFranza, author of Dog Stories, joins me today for a conversation all about dog training. In practice, however, his advice is more about how to train the human, rather than the dog. He walks us through how dogs communicate, how to manage your energy, and understanding their basic instincts. We also discuss the sudden rise of dog aggression during the COVID-19 pandemic, how they’re trying to take care of their owners, and how you can best care for your dog as well.

“When you feel good then success in all areas of your life is easy to achieve. I love to empower people to discover their dreams and to ignite their lives”
If you could live the life of your dreams, what would it look like? What would you be doing? Where and how would you live?
I believe everyone should be living the life of their dreams and welcome you to Believe It, Achieve It! I’m your host Nicole Windley and, each week, this show will serve up a dose of magic to help guide you in living your best life.
I’ll be joined by health and wellness experts, amazing spiritual beings and everyday people sharing their personal development journeys and offering tips, tools, skills and guidance to help you take your life to the next level.
We’re talking real conversations - no fluff; a raw, unpolished and honest dialogue that will also teach you how to navigate life during difficult times.
I’m beyond thrilled to have our first guest join me in launching the show; Dr. Janet Fienemann is a therapist based in Jacksonville (a fellow Floridian) specializing in counseling, mindfulness and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I first met Janet during a dark time in my life and she provided me with the tools I needed to, as she says, live my badass life!
Janet and I discuss the importance of gratitude, especially during these times, and she provides insight into the science behind it and offers her recommendation on simple, daily gratitude practices that can make a world of difference - I’m speaking from first hand experience!
These are challenging times for many of us and it’s important that we feel what we feel, acknowledge those feelings and understand that there’s always something to be grateful for. Gratitude is all about appreciating the silver linings in the midst of all the bad stuff.
