Listen to what he says about this Power of Love as he formulates the Twelve Powers concepts. Enjoy.
Happy spring! Today's lesson is an early talk of Charles Fillmore's from 1912! It is a Sunday morning talk he gave on August 18, 1912, titled "The lifting up of I AM." Remember, the name Spirit told Moses on the mountain of who was speaking and sending him was "I AM THAT I AM." In Unity, we see that term as meaning "the Christ" or the "Divinity" within each and every one of us. Mr. Fillmore speaks on how to connect with this Divinity and bring it forth in this lesson. Good in 1912 and still good info in 2017, some 104-plus years later. Amen.
Well, welcome to March! In like a lion and out like a lamb or ... vice versa, they say. We will have an idea by the time the show debuts. Today, as is the custom on the first Tuesday of a month (usually), my wife, Rev. Margie Brach, joins me as cohost. Today we will share and comment upon Charles Fillmore's lesson from April 24, 1932, titled "The Positive and Negative Aspects of Faith." Join us on air or listen to the archived show. Remember, you can always email us through the show's "email host" feature. We would love to hear your feedback.

Today's lesson is from Sunday, April 5, 1925, titled "Establishing the Christ Consciousness." Charles Fillmore uses the Bible story in Acts, Chapter 2, where Peter gives his sermon. There is some great information about connecting with and establishing that divinity within us, which we call "the Christ."
As we move into 2017, perhaps with some resolutions to make changes this year, here is some good advice from Charles Fillmore in his December 27, 1922, talk titled "Making a Change of Mind." He uses the words of Paul, who was writing to the Philippians, saying, "Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" as his springboard for the talk.
Welcome to our first show of the year! Today's show will be a Revs. Bob and Margie Brach show as my wife, Margie, cohosts this first show for the year. I found an excellent talk of Charles Fillmore's to segue with our Christmas season. Throughout Advent we prepared for the coming of the Christ; on Christmas we celebrated the birth of the Christ. If you are following Christmas tide in our Unity Advent booklet, we are growing in that Christ Spirit through the Twelve Days of Christmas.
We hear about the Christ in many of these talks, but what is the connection of the Christ and the Holy Spirit, one of the other aspects of the Divine? Well, Mr. Fillmore's talk from February of 1946 speaks directly to that in a lesson titled "Cooperation of Christ and Holy Spirit." And ... Mr. Fillmore refers to the Holy Sport as ... her! Imagine that! Join Margie and I as we share another timeless classic of our Unity heritage.
Continuing with the theme of the Christ during Advent, today's talk, titled "Developing Christlikeness" from Sunday, February 24, 1929, is a perfect fit. Have a wonderful and blessed holiday season. Blessings from Revs. Bob and Margie Brach.

Today is a Revs. Bob and Margie Brach show! Normally we do these cohosted shows the first Tuesday of each month, but a hip surgery on yours truly put a little damper on doing the show this month. But ... we are back online and ready to go forward. Today's lesson is one Charles Fillmore dictated on Wednesday, August 8, 1923. I believe this was done in conjunction with a healing conference held at Unity Farm that year since Mr. Fillmore mentions "this conference" in the body of the lesson. Anyway ... enjoy.
Today's lesson is a transcript of Charles Fillmore's talk at a Wednesday Evening Healing Service given on October 25, 1922. The topic and title of the talk was "Zeal." Zeal is one of our Twelve Powers, and this talk was well before the articles on the Powers appeared in Unity Magazine® (1929) and the book, The Twelve Powers of Man (1930). Click and listen to what Mr. Fillmore has to say about "Zeal" as I read from his words.

What was that? Who said that? Ahhhh ... the still, small voices are at it again! Don't worry—you are okay—it is just Spirit getting your attention (I think). Anyway ... Charles Fillmore spoke about that inner voice in his lesson called "The Inner Voice," which he gave on Sunday, December 12, 1926. Tune in and listen as I share his words again this time ... worldwide, thanks to the internet.
We will be sharing a later talk of Mr. Fillmore's. It is a Sunday lesson from July 12, 1936—probably a Sunday where Mr. Fillmore was a "visiting speaker" since he turned the pulpit of the 913 Tracy Avenue church over to Rev. E.C. Wilson a few years before. The talk is titled "In His Name: Witnessing Under Persecution." Kind of a different talk title for a Unity message. Tune in and see.

Today's lesson is Charles Fillmore's talk on one of his and my favorite topics—the Twelve Powers! The lesson is titled "The Faculties Called Into Action" from Sunday morning, March 4, 1928. My wife, Rev. Margie Brach, will be cohosting this show. Listen in and hear me read the words of Mr. Fillmore and our sharing on what it spoke to us.
Welcome, summer! Today is the summer solstice, the longest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere, that is), and the first day of summer. Wilson and was probably back for a Sunday visit when he gave this inspiring message.

See John 10:7-16 for more details.

Charles Fillmore uses the story from the Book of Isaiah where the King Uzziah improperly offers a sacrifice in the temple and is struck with leprosy. Interestingly, some 144,000 people at the event did not even faint, but 11 listeners on the radio died! Charles Fillmore uses the story from the Book of Exodus in the Hebrew Bible where the Israelites cross over the Red Sea to escape the pursuing Egyptians. Mr. Fillmore uses this as an allegory to speak to the times when we, as a race, come out of a lower consciousness to a higher condition or race consciousness. This "race" consciousness is often called our "collective" consciousness today.
Ahh ... the topic of "sin" raises its head again, but this time I am sure it will be a much more pleasant experience with Charles Fillmore taking the lead in his talk "Sinlessness—Man's Heritage Through Christ" from Sunday, January 13, 1929. Mr. Fillmore uses the Letter of First John as his Scriptural basis for this talk. I think you will like this talk.
"Remember keep holy the Sabbath Day" is an admonition from the Ten Commandments. But ... just how do we keep the Sabbath "holy"? Charles Fillmore has some thoughts on this in his talk "The Use of the Sabbath" from August 20, 1916. This is another early talk of Mr. Fillmore's. Its message is just as applicable today, almost 100 years later. Tune in and learn how to use and keep your "Sabbath."
Today is another Revs. Bob and Margie show! We will share Charles Fillmore's talk from Sunday, February 26, 1928, on "The Power of Truth." Mr. Fillmore uses the healing of Jairus' daughter as told by the writer of the Gospel of Mark as his scriptural basis. He is quick to point out that healings such as this are "based on some law of mind." Join us as we share these "timeless truths" of Truth.
We have heard that "honesty is the best policy." Charles Fillmore takes this maxim one step higher in his talk "Just Dealings and Pure Giving" from March 4, 1923. Mr. Fillmore uses the story of Jesus's response concerning the paying of taxes to Caesar as told by the writer of the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 20.
What is in a name? In particular, the name we are attaching to the concept of the Divine or the Divinity within us! Charles Fillmore speaks to this in this early (1911) talk titled "In the Name of the Lord." The text file does not give a specific day or date—only "Nov 1911." My guess is this was from a midweek gathering that happened at the 913 Tracy Avenue church in Kansas City, Missouri. My wife, Rev. Margie Brach, will host this show as we kick off this new year of bringing you the unpublished talks and lessons of our Unity cofounder, Charles Fillmore.
Here is another early (1912) talk of Charles Fillmore, just a mere 102 years ago, but with a message that is timeless. He speaks about the concept of "absent healing" using the story of the Healing of the Centurion's Servant. He also shares some of the letters Silent Unity® received from Unity prayer work. Mr. Fillmore's talk was titled "Faith or Absent Healing" from October 20, 1912, a Sunday morning talk.
Here is another early (1913) talk of Charles Fillmore's. It's a talk from Sunday, August 17, 1913, titled "Healing the Senses." Mr. Fillmore starts off by reminding us: "We have many remedies, but one healing Agent. That is Divine MInd." What a wonderful reminder as we embark upon this season of Advent, looking toward the rebirth of the Christ in us and the World. My wife, Rev. Margie Brach, will cohost this show with me. Yes ... another Bob and Margie Show! We look forward to hearing from you if you are listening live and can call in. Namaste'.
With Thanksgiving coming this week, it is appropriate to have a Fillmore talk on the concept of "thanksgiving." Today's lesson is titled "Thanksgiving and Praising" and was given a few months before Thanksgiving in 1922, on September 24. Enjoy.
Here is another "Temperance Sunday" talk Charles Fillmore gave on February 28, 1928. This was during the Prohibition era, and this talk was titled "True Wisdom, Justice—Temperance." His stated idea for the talk was telling "how to harmonize the law of God with the law of man."
One of the more common terms Charles Fillmore speaks of is the concept of "regeneration." Here is an early (1912) talk on this topic titled "First Steps in Reincarnation," given on a Sunday morning, January 7, 1912.
Todays' show is another Rev. Bob and Margie show! Listen in as my wife, Rev. Margie Brach, and I share another unpublished talk of Charles Fillmore's. He uses the Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist as told by the writer of the Gospel of Matthew. He speaks about the baptism of water, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, in this timeless lesson.
Today's talk from Charles Fillmore is titled "A Divided Mind." Mr. Fillmore uses the Hebrew Bible story of the young king who comes into power and listens to his young advisors, rather than the elder statesmen of his father's rule, and doubles the taxes on the people of Israel. This story is told in 1 Kings 12:12-20. As you can imagine, this does not go over well, and pretty soon there is a change in kingship again. Mr. Fillmore uses this story to illustrate what can happen in one's consciousness. This was a Sunday morning lesson he gave on April 6, 1924, and its message applies today.
Today's show is another Revs. Bob and Margie show! We get to share Charles Fillmore's talk "A Fuller Awakening of the Christ Mind" from Sunday, September 6, 1931. This 73-year-old message is still timely today as Mr. Fillmore reminds us of the impact of "race consciousness" and how one's "embedded theology" can restrict one's spiritual and material growth.
Today's show is actually the text from an article in Unity Magazine® from October 1905. Unless you visit Unity Library and Archives, and search the bound volumes of past issues, you would not have this available. This may be going from preaching to meddling on Charles' part, but the theme of the article is vegetarianism, and it is called "As to Eating Meat." Charles and Myrtle both adopted a vegetarian lifestyle. The article sets forth Charles' reason why. Charles also gave several talks on vegetarianism using this material. There is one in the show's archives on September 2, 2008, in case you want to check it out.
Today's talk is titled "The Divine Presence," given by Charles Fillmore on Sunday, August 21, 1932. In a period of political and social reform, Charles Fillmore speaks about "individual reform" in his talk titled "The Word and the Will Overcoming the World" from Sunday, December 16, 1923. Listen in and hear his timeless message that is just as true today as in 1923.
It is Revs. Bob and Margie time again! We get to share one of Charles Fillmore's talks, "The Christ Mind," from December 28, 1930. Mr. Fillmore does a sort of end of the year review about the material on "The Christ" he had mentioned in previous lessons during the year and tying it together. Margie and I will share what spoke to us from this timeless talk in the last segment of the show.
Ah "sin"... that is a term we may have heard in other faith traditions, maybe bringing feelings of shame, blame, and guilt. In Unity we then to look at the term as meaning "error thinking," and we get to correct our "sins" by changing our thinking and trying again. Charles Fillmore addresses this topic of "sin" in his talk "Love Heals Sin" from Sunday, November 19, 1922, and relates how "sin" (error thinking) impacts the body and how one can be healed by coming into spiritual understanding of the relationship between the two.
It is time for an EARLY talk of Charles Fillmore's again, so here is one from September 30, 1917, a Sunday morning talk to be exact. The title is "Intellectual Concepts" and Mr. Fillmore uses the story of Jesus and the Pharisees' confrontation as told by the writer of the Gospel of Matthew when the Pharisees asked which of the Commandments was the greatest. Jesus replies then confounds them with a question of whose son is the Christ?
In mainstream Christianity, we often hear about the "atoning blood of Jesus" and how it brings "atonement for our sins." How is one in a Unity mindset to look at this concept? Charles Fillmore's talk "Conscious AT-ONE-MENT With God; Man's Full Redemption" speaks directly to this. He uses several Old Testament references and several references to the Apostle Paul's possible view of this. Join me as we hear again the words from this Sunday morning talk of Mr. Fillmore's from October 21, 1923.
"Love," "Law," and "Life"—what is the connection among these three concepts we hear about so often in Unity? Charles Fillmore explores these concepts and their interrelationship in his talk "The Relation of Love to Life" from Sunday, March 8, 1931. He uses the parable of the Good Samaritan as part of his talk. My wife, Rev. Margie Brach, will cohost the show and we will share our comments on these timeless Truths that caught our attention from Mr. Fillmore's words.
Are we using our "talents" right? Charles Fillmore's talk,"Increasing Man's Capacity," from Sunday, February 6, 1927, which focus on the Parable of the Talents, can be an insightful tool for us. He reminds us, "When you once set love into action in your mind you have a mighty power, a magnet, a drawing power." So ... listen in and learn more about connecting with our five senses and adding greatly to our lives.
Is there a connection between being "sincere" and gaining spiritual understanding? Charles Fillmore believes so and speaks to this in his Groundhog Day talk given on February 2, 1930, titled "Sincerity: A Prerequisite for Spiritual Attainment." Mr. Fillmore uses the Lord's Prayer as given in the Sermon on the Mount as his basis for the talk. He even has a comment about groundhogs at the very end.
It is Rev. Bob and Margie Brach time again. During the past 13 months or so, Margie and I cohosted a series of lectures on the Fourth Dimension given back in 1932 by Charles Fillmore. Today we will be sharing his Sunday morning talk titled "Spiritual Unity" from July 19, 1931. Mr. Fillmore uses the stories from the Book of Acts about the sharing of property by the early disciples and the selection of seven trusted servants to oversee the distribution of the material possessions. Come and hear how Charles weaves a metaphysical and practical message from this timeless material.
Ever ask the question "What happens after death"? Well, Charles Fillmore asked and answered this question in his Sunday morning message on September 10, 1916. This is an early talk of Mr. Fillmore's, and he was 62 years young at the time. He uses the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus in a talk titled appropriately "Poverty and Riches: The Rich Man and Lazarus."
The title of today's talk of Charles Fillmore's is "The Soul's Recognition of Subconscious Faculties" from Sunday, August 3, 1924. If you are a fan of the Twelve Powers of Man work of Mr. Fillmore's, you will like this talk. He also addresses an important part of our being that we may not be fully aware of—our subconscious.
Today we finish the series on the Fourth Dimension, which we started more than a year ago. This will be Lesson 13 of Charles Fillmore's series of lectures he and Cora did in the fall of 1932. My wife, Rev. Margie Brach, will be cohosting the show as she has throughout this wonderful and insightful series of talks.
Today's talk is another early (1913) talk of Charles Fillmore's. He notes the focus of the lesson is "the appropriation of Universal Substance." He expandss upon the story about the man who is giving a great supper and sends his servants out to bring the people into his home (Luke 15). Mr. Fillmore gave this talk on a Sunday morning back on June 8, 1913. His message is still pertinent today!
Today's talk is "The Restorative Powers" from a Sunday morning lesson given on September 9, 1928. Charles Fillmore uses the story of Paul in Antioch and in Corinth as the basis of his lesson, which focus on the states of mind as they impact our development of the Christ within us.

Plug in to the show and find out what he is talking about.

Charles Fillmore turned the platform at Ninth and Tracy over to Ernest Wilson while Charles and Cora traveled to speaking engagements.
"Let your 'yes' be 'yes' and your 'no' be 'no'" were words ascribed to Jesus of Nazareth when he was speaking about the taking of oaths. Charles Fillmore references a similar saying of "yes" and "no" when we are using the Powers of our Mind in his talk "Yes and No of the Mind" from March 24, 1931. My special guest is Rev. Eric Donaldson, senior minister at Unity Christian Church, Memphis, Tennessee.

The lesson is entitled "Temple of the Living God."

These series of lectures are from the notes of a talk series he did in April 1934 in the Sacramento, California, area. Join us for a fun show as we "rocket to the fourth dimension."
The old saying is "what a difference a day makes." Well ... what about three years? Today's talk is one of the longer talks for Charles Fillmore, and I do the show without a special guest. I chose a talk with a similar title and same biblical reference of a talk I recently read. The talk is titled "From Self-Will to Understanding" from October 8, 1933. Charles uses the story of Paul on the Damascus Road as his basis of his lesson. Listen and enjoy, and if you like, compare the PDFs from my show of September 11, 2012, where Charles had given a similar message in 1930.

He spoke on the subject of "faith" and used the allegory of the story of Abraham as his scriptual basis. There is no special guest today, so I get to give my thoughts and comments on this "old tyme" Unity treasure.
Today's material from Charles Fillmore is very interesting. I found it under the topic of "Healing," and it apparently is an article or lesson. My special guest is Rev. Mark Schindler, co-minister at Unity of Auburn, Auburn, California.
What is the significance of the conversion of Paul on the Damascus road? Well ... according to Charles Fillmore, it was a beginning of Paul's unfolding of his highest self. We also get to "unfold" our highest selves as well. Charles' talk, "The Unfolding of the Higher Self," from August 9, 1931, has some practical ways of doing this spiritual activity. My special guest is Rev. Carolyn Jean Rhodes, a Unity minister in Detroit, Michigan.

He mentions an important concept to keep in mind—that “if one infinite, omnipresent mind expressing itself and all these characters is to put the ideas in that mind, and that these incidents, these situations, refer to the expression or an outer manifestation of that mind.” In other words, the Bible is to be metaphysically interpreted as God expressing as mind expressing in the world.
