Podcast channel for teaching, edification and encouragement to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
I am a husband, father of 6 and pastor. A life that apart from Him I would never have thought I would have, but now that I got it, I cannot see it any other way!

"Coram Deo"
My response to the situation going on with Hillsong Church and the documentary recently released (which I have yet to see).
A little preface to the sermon I will be preaching at Agape this Sunday, but one I pray is received by you with love and grace. Any questions please reach out to me at englehartjosh@gmail.com
Does God always heal us physically in this life? Listen to this episode and hear my stance on why I do not think God’s will is physical healing, but He is so big and good that He can use our suffering for growth and intimacy with Him. You should seek and pray for healing, but more so trust in His ways! What are His ways? I reference Job a lot in this episode because I preached on Job this past week. And before you say, “Well God restored Job two-fold in the end”. I say to that, that’s more of an imagery that we have in our hope in Christ. I then ask for you to consider the apostles and disciples of Christ in the Lords day. And even today those who are faithful in preaching the Gospel in dangerous places. It has been the blood of those who follow Christ that has given God the greatest glory, being obedient up until death. Blood seems to carry quite the message of glory and life when it comes to God. Parables are a very powerful, concrete way of teaching. Jesus is the Master Teacher, especially when He used parables during His earthly ministry. But what is the Biblical purpose of the parables He spoke? Always feel free to reach out with any questions at englehartjosh@gmail.com
Offices of “Prophets and Apostles” today? In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul’s claims that he was the last in which Christ revealed Himself to on the road to Damascus. I said this happened around “AD 30”, as I meant to say “30 AD” - I was reading my notes pretty quick. We know 1 Corinthians was written around 20 years later in 50 AD, so a lot of time lapsed showing that there were no more “Apostles” after Paul. (Please note, the Church in Corinth had the spiritual gifts, they were just being misused.) Feel free to reach out to me at englehartjosh@gmail.com with any questions.
We live in a time where many people either just “read” their Bibles, or they take someone else’s “word” for how it is interpreted. Proverb 27:3 is a prime example of this. Please free to reach out to me at englehartjosh@gmail.com with any questions!
Tithing is Biblical. However, I do not believe in my understanding and reading of the Bible that it should not be taught as a commandment, but more so a “light” practice in the church. The tithe was apart of the Mosaic Law, which we as Christians are not under through the atoning death of Christ. Tithing can be accepted in the church of course and could be a good “starting point” for “baby Christians” in their supporting of the local body, but as they grow and mature, so should their giving and offering.
