The Galender boys are new to Walnut Grove and it doesn't take long before they start taking advantage of the town folk.  They swindle the Olesons, Hanson, and even get handsy with Caroline.  Then there's the youngest Galender who's just as bad and even punches Mary in the face.  Naturally Nellie is drawn to that type of behavior.  In the end it's the righteous Rev Alden that has to lay the smack down and run the Galender punks out of town.  Plus Matt gets emotional about teeter totters.

In the exciting conclusion to Bunny, Laura and Nellie square off in a race to determine equine supremacy.   Naturally Laura has to work extra hard while Nellie expects everything to be handed to her.  Harriett is up to her old ways and it ends up biting her in the butt.  Plus Meg and Matt recap the last few weeks and Meg drops a surprise(even for Matt) announcement.

This is the one that spawned a thousand memes.  Nellie hurts herself falling off her horse.  She's a little banged up but otherwise ok.  Never the one to let the truth get in the way of opportunity though,  Nellie fakes being paralyzed in order to gain the sympathy of everyone in Walnut Grove.  Her plan works for a while but ultimately Laura finds out and gets her revenge in one of the all time classic Little House scenes.

Johnny Cash!  Need we say more?  Ok.  Johnny and June play Caleb and Mattie, a couple down on their luck.  Caleb thinks their prayers have been answered when they take in Rev Alden after an accident.  Caleb passes himself off as a reverend friend of Alden's.  His plan is to collect money from the people of Walnut Grove to help a neighboring town that had just been wiped out by fire and keep it all for himself and Mattie.  Things don't go exactly according to plan, as this is Walnut Grove, and Caleb is so moved by the towns generosity that he gives up on his plan and leaves the town with considerable donations for the town in need.

After a tornado wipes out the Ingalls entire crop, Charles decides he's not strong enough to start over again.  He starts to wonder if God has forsaken him.   Enter Matthew and Anna Sims.  The former owners of the Ingalls farm are looking to come home again.  In the process of selling Charles realizes Walnut Grove is the best place for the Ingalls, something the Ingalls women had known all along.

The good people of Walnut Grove are planning a Centennial celebration.  The town clerk has other ideas.  A property tax hike leaves the town reeling and feeling like there is little to celebrate.  Enter Yuli, a Russian immigrant.  Yuli and his family lose their farm to a tax sale but that doesn't stop Yuli from teaching the people of Walnut Grove a valuable lesson in gratitude and humility.

Charles wants to get some new china for Caroline.  Seems innocent enough.  In order to keep it a surprise though he has to tell a few lies and that's when things get interesting.  Is Caroline worried about nothing or is Charles getting a little too cozy with the widow Thurman?  Plus Meg tries to talk Matt into adding to their animal collection and a picturesque town of the week.
