The term "content creator" is often used, but it’s not just reserved for social media influencers who create content online to secure brand deals. Business owners who use content to attract people to their brand are also content creators. Today, I'll discuss seven types of entrepreneurs who fall into this category.

In Episode #154, I’m going to discuss whether politics, social issues or other “controversial” topics are appropriate to discuss on your platform. This is really an important topic because a lot of content creators and entrepreneurs are unsure if this is the route they should take for their brand.

When I first started my brand, Tinseltown Mom, almost 11 years ago, this was a question I had to consider. I don’t share controversial opinions about particular social issues or hot topics on my platform. That’s with the understanding that anything can be controversial these days. However, I have posted very controversial articles on my blog where I’m just giving information, not my opinion. Some of my most popular posts include:

  • “Celebrities Who Spank Their Kids”
  • “Celebrities with Autistic Kids Who Suspect Vaccines Played a Role”
  • “Famous Moms Who Decided Against Aborting Their Child”
  • My most controversial and popular blog post, “Celebrities Conceived by Rape or Who Bore a Child from Rape,” has received over a million views, with people openly debating in the comments section.

Episode #150 is all about using our passions to help the California wildfire victims. I'll share 10 ways to use our passions to help the Los Angeles fire victims.

Los Angeles is currently battling devastating wildfires, with the largest, the Palisades Fire, burning over 21,000 acres, and the Eaton Fire, consuming over 13,000 acres. These fires have forced the evacuation of approximately 150,000 residents, and over 10,000 structures have been destroyed. At least 10 fatalities have been reported, while strong winds and critical fire weather conditions are complicating containment efforts. Firefighters are working around the clock, but containment remains low.

Donations to relief organizations, volunteering, and raising awareness are critical to the recovery efforts. Let’s keep the victims and first responders in our prayers and take action to help those affected.

On episode #118 of MOMetize Your Passion, I speak with former supermodel Kim Alexis.

As one of the most recognized faces in the modeling industry, Kim has been on the cover of over 500 magazines and appeared in six Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues, as well as walked the runway for top designers around the world. Kim went on to write about what she learned from the business. She has written eleven books, both fiction and nonfiction, but is mainly known for her clean-living eBooks. She is also a trained speaker on women’s issues and a passionate advocate for aging gracefully with fitness, health, and lifestyle choices.

In this episode, we talk about everything from her health and wellness passion, which seems to have been the through line to her passion since before modeling. In fact, she just happened to stumble upon modeling. It wasn't even a passion of hers or a strong interest. We talk about that, what she's up to these days, and more.

Are your passions from God? On episode #103 of Mometize Your Passion, I'll be sharing 5 ways to know if your passions are from God. I will use my journey as an example, but below is a breakdown and scripture references for each point discussed:
1. It Brings Fulfillment - Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”

2. God Will Open the Doors - Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."

3. It Fosters Growth and Development - John 15: 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

4. It Often Leads to a Meaningful Purpose - Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

5. It Positively Impacts Those Around Us - 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

This successful bipolar mompreneur builds a 7-figure digital products business, and shares her journey to financial freedom.

On episode #94 of Time Out with Tinseltown Mom, I’ll be speaking with Becky Beach. Becky is a successful mompreneur who’s been featured on Business Insider and Forbes.

Becky has earned over a million dollars selling only digital products. It is her passion to help others start their own 6-figure and beyond digital products businesses. She lives in the Dallas area with her husband, son, and 3 furbabies.

Becky has Bipolar disorder, and she talks about how she refused to let her mental illness stop her from building a successful digital products business.

According to the Mayo Clinic, Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings. They include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression). When you become depressed, you may feel sad or hopeless and lose interest or pleasure in most activities. When your mood shifts to mania or hypomania (less extreme than mania), you may feel euphoric, full of energy or unusually irritable. These mood swings can affect sleep, energy, activity, judgment, behavior and the ability to think clearly.

Sadly, our kids rarely forget our negative words once they leave our mouths, no matter how sorry we are. The same holds true for uplifting words, and when it comes to our kids our goal should be to frequently build them up with positive sayings, as those messages will live on and resonate with them into adulthood.

On episode #19 of Time Out with Tinseltown Mom, I'll be talking about 5 films that deal with racial injustice among African-Americans.

Racial tension is at an all-time high so I wanted to share some inspirational family-friendly films that address racism and injustice against African-American people. A lot of parents are looking for films they can watch with their kids during these tenuous times. Kids are looking for their parents to help them navigate all that’s going on in the world and film is a great way to do that.

These films are all based on a true story and they provide hope, which is what is desperately needed today.

It's been said that the universal language of sports is a connector that brings people together in ways like no other, so today’s films all have a sports theme.

It doesn't matter where you're from, your religious beliefs, or economic background, when you're rooting for the same team you're on the same team, even if just briefly. Sports promote a sense of belonging and identity by tying people together to a common goal.

Hopefully, these films will not only invoke encouragement but be great conversation starters you have with your kids. I do recommend that before letting your kids watch any of these films to watch them first to make sure it’s subject matter that you feel comfortable letting them see.
