Ep 86 -- "Regardless of the causes of our worst hurts and heartaches, the ultimate source of relief is the same: Jesus Christ. He alone holds the full power and healing balm to correct every mistake, right every wrong, adjust every imperfection, mend every wound, and deliver every delayed blessing. ... You see, the very nature of God and aim of our earthly existence is happiness, but we cannot become perfect beings of divine joy without experiences that test us, sometimes to our very core. Paul says even the Savior Himself was made eternally βperfect [or complete] through sufferings.β So guard against the satanic whispering that if you were a better person, you would avoid such trials." Ep 84 -- Do you have items in your home you aren't using but don't want to get rid of? Look around and think who might be able to use it. It's much easier to get rid of stuff that way.

Ep 82-- Who around us needs help? "The gospel of Jesus Christ is the way to shore and to safety, to happiness in this life and to eternal life and eternal joy in the life to come. It can light the way for all who will open their eyes, their ears, and their hearts." (Bennett, Oct 1973 General Conference)
Ep 81-- My testimony of the Savior is strengthened by The Book of Mormon. I'm grateful for the miracles performed by him. I will continue to trust with Him. --> Mormon 9:19-20... "20 And the reason why he ceaseth to do miracles among the children of men is because that they dwindle in unbelief, and depart from the right way, and know not the God in whom they should TRUST. 21 Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth."
Ep 79--What is of great worth to you? ... "the record thereof is of great worth; and whoso shall bring it to light, him will the Lord bless." (Mormon 8:14) #TheBookOfMormon
Ep 77-- we might not know the outcome of our national election yet but we do know ** that Jesus will come again and reign. We will stand before him to be judged. Mormon 7:5-7 "...he hath gained the victory over the grave; and also in him is the sting of death swallowed up. And he bringeth to pass the resurrection of the dead, whereby man must be raised to stand before his judgment-seat. And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom..."
Ep 76. It's hard to see someone you love fail especially when you tried what you can to help them succeed. Mormon 6:17-18 "O ye fair ones, how could ye have departed from the ways of the Lord! O ye fair ones, how could ye have rejected that Jesus, who stood with open arms to receive you! Behold, if ye had not done this, ye would not have fallen. But behold, ye are fallen, and I mourn your loss." #TheBookOfMormon
Ep 75-- Mormon 5:1-2 "...for they looked upon me as though I could deliver them from their afflictions. But behold, I was without HOPE, for I knew the judgments of the Lord which should come upon them; for they repented not of their iniquities..." #TheBookOfMormon
Ep 74 ... We have all the tools on the earth that we need to return to our heavenly father. Just like an escape room it's okay to ask for hints or help (prayer, personal revelation) as we solve trials and challenges
Ep 73-- πΆ"Good morning, good morning good morning to you ... Our day is beginning there's so much to do! Good morning, good morning, good morning to you." π
Ep 72-- it's important on life journey to use a map and the aid of others to help you find your way
Ep 71 -- sometimes we need to back up a little bit and get some added protection. It can help our day.
Ep 70-- sometimes in life you have to modify your routine. Flexibility is so important. Technology can help with scripture reading.
Ep 69-- Mormon 8:3-5 "And my father also was killed by them, and I even remain alone to write the sad tale of the destruction of my people. But behold, they are gone, and I fulfil the commandment of my father. And whether they will slay me, I know not. Therefore I will write and hide up the records in the earth; and whither I go it mattereth not. Behold, my father hath made this record, and he hath written the intent thereof. And behold, I would write it also if I had room upon the plates, but I have not; and ore I have none, for I am alone. Ep 63 -- create a gift for what you already have in your home. This is what I put on the note card on my gift--> YOO-HOO!! I wanted to bring a chocolatey beverage, a fun magnet, and an encouraging thought from our prophet from General Conference--- "Live each day so that YOO are more prepared to meet your Maker." (President Nelson, October 2020) Happy October!! π
Ep 60-- I'm thankful for church leaders who take the time to fast, pray, and ponder as they prepare messages for us from the Lord β₯οΈ
Ep 59-- "In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost." (President Nelson, April 2018)
Ep 58-- creating a home routine using alliteration can be very helpful. It's easier to remember for everyone.
Ep 57 -- April 1973 talk by Ezra Taft Benson. ... "There is great safety in a nation on its knees."
Ep 56-- Pray for our nation and those that lead us. The Book of Mormon is written for our day. Christ is our true leader who said: "Therefore, what manner of men ought ye to be? Verily I say unto you, even as I am." 3 Nephi 27:27
Ep 55-- FAITH is the first principle of the Gospel. The Lord said he would show greater things to those that believed. In third Nephi chapter 26 verse 11 he says "I will try the faith of my people."
Ep 54 -- The Family Proclamation was given 25 years ago. I love these two lines about why families matter: "The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be reunited eternally."
Ep 53-- Family History Friday... 4th verse of I am a Child of God: π΅ "I am a child of God, His promises are sure, Celestial Glory shall be mine, if I can but endure"
Ep 52-- Thankful Thursday... I'm thankful we have others in our life to help us and so we can help them.. others are important it's essential we develop those relationships.
Ep 51 -- Wednesday Wonder. We have such an amazing gift to be able contact whomever we need to by call or text. It's a super power.
Ep 50 -- I'm glad we can look up the record, read the experience, and feel its true through the power of the Holy Ghost. This was an event that helped the restoration unfold.
Ep 49 -- "The gospel of Jesus Christ is more easily taught and longer remembered in a happy home." (H. Burke Peterson, Oct 1972)
Ep 48 -- we can always repent and start over. (Yay for insulin.) Alma the younger, in the Book of Mormon, is such a good example of repentance.
Ep 47-- Pray to have eyes to see God's hand in your life. Look for the many blessings that surround you. Sometimes blessings and answers to prayers come through other people.
Ep 46 -- "We should find great comfort in the fact that ordinary people who faithfully, diligently, and consistently do simple things that are right before God will be blessed in extraordinary ways." -Elder David A Bednar, 9-16-20
Ep 45-- 3 Nephi 17:3 "Therefore, go ye unto your homes, and ponder upon the things which I have said, and ask of the Father, in my name, that ye may understand, and prepare your minds for the morrow, and I come unto you again."
Ep 44 -- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ... "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."
Ep 43--I finished another GOAL I've been working on for a few months: Playing through the entire hymnbook (341 hymns inside) and reading each hymn's history along the way. πΉπ
My piano teacher is probably smiling down from heaven. π That's something she encouraged me to do as teenager--to be able to play every hymn in the book so I was always prepared to accompany when asked. I think I could play them all then, but now I've officially proved to myself I can now. π

Ep 42-- The alarm I'm referring to is not a clock alarm, but my insulin pump. Luckily tonight is another opportunity to get better sleep. Heavenly father has given us this mortal experience so we can try again and again because practice makes permanent.
Ep 41-- "The principle of eternal marriage is a most powerful stabilizing influence in promoting the kind of home needed to rear children who are happy and well adjusted." -Howard W Hunter
Ep 40--this thought goes with a favorite scripture I've shared before from the Book of Mormon, Helaman 5:12
Ep 39-- Happy 96th Birthday President Russell M. Nelson! π₯³ In 3 Nephi 10:11 it says "And thus far were the scriptures fulfilled which had been spoken by the prophets." Also look in VERSE 14 for more reference. π Some people rejected the prophets' words and killed them, but what they said WAS going to happen, HAPPENED. We can trust a servant of the Lord. We should take advantage of our Prophet's words today and listen and obey. I loved today's reading connection and a prophet and how our modern day Prophet is celebrating a birthday today. π
Ep 38--CREATING A DAILY ROUTINE and working on our spiritual self (ie praying, reading scriptures, service) and physical health (ie exercise, balanced meals, water, enough sleep) can help us especially when times are tough because we won't have to THINK about doing them. IT BECOMES PART OF US.
Ep--37 "Lift up your head and be of good cheer... I come unto my own, to fulfil all things..." (3 Nephi 1:13-14). βοΈ Written note, on watermelon sour patch kids candy: {Feeling MELON-choly? [Insert SCRIPTURE]... To finish the summer season I wanted to bring you a SWEET treat while we head into the SOUR PATCH of fall and distance learning with our kids. As a mother you are amazing! To your family -- you are one in a MELON!! Have a great Labor Day weekend. Hope to SEED you again in person soon, but for now, here's a written hug HUGS! β₯οΈ ... β‘οΈWho can you minister to today?
Ep 36-- it's a bad habit to put things off... so when you have a thought to do something, do it! You'll thank yourself later.
Ep 35 -- All moms are like elastigirl and have to stretch and be flexible
(Note: And, speaking of being flexible, I had to re-record this a few times and then learn how attach the pieces. Just wasn't working smoothly today. Good thing I'm flexible... haha! Hope my message inspires someone out there today!)
Ep 34--A verse from this week's Come Follow Me Lesson... "And their hearts were swollen with joy, unto the gushing out of many tears, because of the great goodness of God in delivering them out of the hands of their enemies; and they knew it was because of their repentance and their humility that they had been delivered from an everlasting destruction." (3 Nephi 4:33) πThis is a blessing for following their leader and being ready when enemies came.
Elder RichardΒ G. Scott asks the question, βWhat do you do when you have prepared carefully, have prayed fervently, waited a reasonable time for a response, and still do not feel an answer?β He continues: βYou may want to express thanks when that occurs, for it is an evidence of his trust. When you are living worthily and your choice is consistent with the Saviorβs teachings and you need to act, proceed with trust. β¦ God will not let you proceed too far without a warning impression if you have made a wrong choice.β
The Savior asked us to be kind and to love another... John 13:34-35--"34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
3 Nephi 1:13, 21 "Lift up your heads and be a good cheer for on the morrow come I into the world ... And a new star did appear according to the word" ... It's Christmas Eve in the Book of Mormon!! ππ

John 14:15 "if ye love me keep my commandments". Lines or standards or commandments help us gauge how we are doing and keep us safe.

Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.
