Congresswoman Deb Haaland is one of the first Native American women to serve in Congress. She is a single mom, a strong activist for progressive causes, and is an all-around amazing woman. Listen in to this week's podcast to learn more about Rep. Haaland, and stay with us to the end ...for her important message for all of us.
We got the girls back together this week for another candid conversation on this week's vice presidential debate.
Our founders, four strong women and one candid coversation on this week's presidential debate, RBG's passing, and the current chaotic state of our union.
Meet the candidate who inspired us to launch a podcast. Qasim Rashid is an immigrant, a father and husband, and a human rights lawyer who spent years defending sexual assault survivors. Now, he is running for Congress in Virginia's 1st District.
We first heard about Qasim after he attended an anti-Muslim event in Warrenton, Virginia. The event was held a little over a year ago when Qasim was running for Virginia State Senate. It was put together by a hate group, trying to criticize and stop American Muslims running for office. They never expected Qasim to show up, not to mention that he would be joined by a large group of local citizens that came to support him.
In his own words, Qasim is running for congress because “I benefited from the American dream. I am running for Congress to protect the American dream, to pass the dream onto our children, and to open the dream up to those from whom it has been withheld.”
Tune in. you're bound to be as inspired as we are.
