Film Festival in Native Languages ​​has been held since 2019, nationally and internationally, and its objective is to contribute to the empowerment of speakers of native languages ​​through the production and exhibition of audiovisual works in minority languages ​​and those in Danger of extinction. Join me in conversation with Ximena Málaga Sabogal, a featured educator and panelist with the festival. She is a Peruvian filmmaker and visual anthropologist. After over a decade of ethnographic research and academic work in Peru, she turned her hand to documentary filmmaking at New York University and their Culture and Media program. Her films focus on identity, indigenous languages, and the daily life of Andean women.
