Lacey recently took a social media detox consisting of a week off of all social platforms and was able to gain some great insights. In this episode she shares those insights, what she learned about herself, and why you may want to try a social media detox yourself!
In this episode, Lacey shares a personal experience that led her down the path of better understanding delegation to do it more effectively. Delegation is not something new nurses are taught and is oftentimes one of the biggest challenges she sees for her mentees so she wanted to dive deeper into the subject. Lacey recently polled her Instagram audience on mental health. About 2000 people voted and 79% of those people stated that they experience anxiety frequently yet only 18% said they seek out therapy for their anxiety. After diving a little deeper she found that the reason why the number of those seeking out therapy was so low was due to three main reasons; cost, unsure of how to find a good therapist, or social shame. This episode explores and shares resources for therapy and mental health.
Today Lacey chats with her personal mentor, Ash Mcdonald, about cycle syncing and how it affects our lives (physically, emotionally, socially, and more). Ash is a therapist, mentor, self-care advocate, productivity coach, & time strategist and firm believer in all things transformation. Today, Allie is a part-time nurse, student, and continues to help nurses by providing them with an approachable way to pay off their debt.
Lacey chats with fellow nurse and nurse mentor, Laura Wiley. Laura is a former PICU Night Shift Nurse with a passion for self care. But it wasn’t always that way. She was quickly headed for burnout until she was headed for vacation and finally had more than three days away from work to realize what she was doing to herself! She quickly developed a plan to create a balanced work life, avoid shift hangovers, and now helps others to do the same.
