The Talent is an exciting live performance program which assists young performers at the start of their careers by broadcasting recitals by musicians who are currently studying at tertiary institutions or have recently graduated.
Welcome back to The Talent for our first performance episode of season 1, 2026! This week, host Mark Kerr and regular mentor Kevin Tamanini are joined by guest mentor Jos Jonker. We hear performances from Violinist Cooper Chen and Pianist Kate Yin, and interviewed by Mark and receiving valuable feedback on their performances from the mentors.

Cellist Katrina Wang and Piano Trio Mira Trio were joined on The Talent with mentors Leigh Harrold and Josephine Vains.
Episode 8 saw Ensemble Contineo perform live on The Talent. Speical performances from 2018 winners, Jennifer Timmins and Dindin Wang were also featured.
The Talent welcomed vocalist Teressa Ingrilli and pianist Jenny Lu to perform live on air as part of Season 1 2019. Season mentor Leigh Harrold was joined by Liane Keegan as a mentor for the show.

This episode marks the week of the piano here at The Talent, with pianists Sine Winther and Meyrem Ogutveren shocasing the rich repertoire for the piano including Ravel, Lizst and Bach. We are joined by the pianist and founding member of Syzygy Ensemble Leigh Harrold alongside violinist Markiyan Melnychenko providing some instrumental diversity.
