How Fascinating!

Iga and Jim tell stories about their relationship and Iga’s amazing life in this episode. Start your journey with them by joining their conversation about Iga’s inspirational teaching methodology, how she settled in the U.S, and how her teaching led her to coaching.

Along the way, learn how Iga created a teaching environment that encouraged students to experiment and make errors without being self-conscious.  It even worked for Jim as he struggled to learn German!

This episode ends with the introduction of one of our favorite books:  The Art of Possibility, by Rosamund and Benjamin Zander. Iga and Jim explore lessons about embracing mistakes not with judgment, but with an “How Fascinating!” attitude, and how that relates to Iga’s pedagogy and our coaching.

They’ll explore more themes from this book in their next podcast, but for now, listen to this second episode and make sure you subscribe and stay tuned!

In this brand new podcast, we will talk about very human things. We will explore the stories, experiences, theories, tools, and books that make us human. We will discuss and demonstrate a variety of tools that have been shown to help people perform better and be happier. We are two people that are passionate about coaching and who love sharing their experiences and digging deeper to find the truth so that others can learn from our experiences.

In this episode, we ponder on an issue that Iga raises about when she tries to connect with a new person. All of us constantly hear voices in our heads that keep us from being our best selves and often block us from doing things we want to do.  The method we explore today comes from Positive Intelligence Shirzad Shamine.

Please join us in this conversation and participate in a 5 minute visualization which will demonstrate how to shift from the survival mode - where those negative voices come from - to the sage mode where we thrive instead of survive.
