The Gospel and the false teaching of Critical Race Theory. False teaching is not an new issue for the church. The church has had to be vigilant from the very beginning to be able to discern truth from error as we see in 1 Timothy 4:1-2. But the problem is false teaching often times is disguised as truth. This is the case with Critical race theory in the church today. Christian truly want justice and want to see the end of racism. This is why CRT appeals to them. But the problem is CRT is not only a Marxist ideology, and not only does it bring more division rather than reconciliation, CRT is not compatible with the Gospel.
The songs we sing as a gathered body of believers ought to be about God, what he has done for us and our gratitude toward him for all he has done. With that not all Christian songs fit the bill. So how do we tell the difference? And why is this important to us? Pastor Sherman talks about these things and more in today's episode of Grace and Truth. 1 Timothy 3:16
The truth is we are saved by grace trough faith. But what we need to remember is our faith is not simply a one time event where we made an emotional decision at VBS or some crusade event. Our faith is an going relationship with Christ. We believed when were saved but we continue to believe and trust in Christ.
Many people are pushing the narrative that if you are pro-life but then you don't fully embrace all of the what the government is pushing with respect to masks, vaccines, and social distancing then you are being hypocritical. Is that true?
Jesus is the only hope of the world. Lots of people have wishes for lots of things. But our wishes can not sustain us and see us safely home. Only our hope in Christ.
What do China and Canada have in common? Answer: Government Persecutions of Christians. In this Episode we talk about Grace Life Church in Alberta and what it means for Christians everywhere.
The truth is Christ was on earth was full of both grace and truth. As his followers we ought to be the same.
On today's episode we explore why Godly grief leads to salvation and ultimately our joy.
The world around us continues to change. Sometimes suddenly, and oftentimes in dramatic ways. On 1/20/2021 the world changed again. Some will lament the change, while others will cheer it. But the fact is, things have once again changed in ways that we cannot fully fathom. But our hope is not in this world that continually changes, our hope is in the One who never changes. The One who is immutable.
In Mark 14 we see Peter following Jesus at distance. He wants to be near Jesus but he doesn't want to get to close because it might cost him something.
If there is a way in which we as Christians need to grow to be more like Christ it is in giving grace. We love the grace of God because we know how undeserving we are. But we struggle to give grace to many who are no more undeserving. But the truth is, following Jesus means to forgive as we have been forgiven.

Politicians are going to politic! What we are seeing coming out of our nations capital is a reflection of where we are as a country. But take heart! Our hope doesn't rest in Washington. Our hope rests in the risen King Jesus Christ and he is the sovereign Lord of all.
23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24)
Mark 11:25 Unforgiveness is not only hampering your prayer life its destroying our culture and our country. It is time for God's people to rise up and be like Christ and forgive. Officer Tatum's Video on living out forgiveness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfzxzXv5UHY

In times like now one of the most important truths for us to hold on to is our adoptions into God's family. Not only does God save us from our sin and His wrath, he makes us one of his beloved children.

One of the reasons we struggle with fear, anxiety and worry during difficult times is our view of God tends to be two small. But God is bigger than our imaginations. And He is powerful enough to see us through here an now and forever.

Fear Anxiety and Worry
These are very common themes today
· People are worried about the economy
· They are worried about getting sick
· They are worried about their loved ones
But lets face it these are not new things. These are things that have been plaguing so many people long before Covid 19. Many of us live in perpetual fear, and anxiety and worry. But all these things are a huge distraction in our relationship with Christ.
