In this episode we chat about branding and a few very important things you should focus on when you first start out. It might not actually be what you think!

  1. What a brand really is and is not
  2. Why building a brand actually matters
  3. How we can use pictures and stories to connect what we offer to dream client and make them feel something
  4. How to make people feel apart of a community and become raving fans

Your Action Steps from this Episode 1. Craft and develop the feelings, personality and stories of your brand. * List each one and brainstorm 1 or 2 things you can do to be intentional with each area.

Ex. You can start writing the stories of your brand you already know and from here on out be on the constant lookout for moments that would make incredible, branding stories.

  1. Develop the experience a customer has with your brand.
  2. We should always be striving to do so much more than just sell a person a thing. An experience sticks in their mind. An experience brings them back and makes them tell their friends.

  3. What are the experiences in your brand? Write out your typical customer's journey from finding you - purchasing - after and infuse each step with things you can do to create a next level experience.

  4. Create a community within your brand

  5. Make people feel like they are your only follower or customer - respond to ever comment, every message.
  6. Build relationships.
  7. Engage on their profiles.
  8. Ask genuine questions.
  9. Build something incredible that people are drawn to and what to take part in.
  10. Evaluate how you are viewing customers and followers. Do we just see them as another dollar sign or an actual human being we can serve and impact with what we have to offer?
  11. Treat the current followers like they are your family. Be more invested in them than you are in growing your following and your following will grow.

Hey! Yay! Episode number 1! This is the start of something incredible my friends! Not because of me but the incredible conversations that will be had here. Lessons that will be learned. Stories that will be told. Dreams that won't be dismissed. I. CAN'T. WAIT.

So, who the heck am I? I'm Lyndsey Hobby, a branding photographer and marketing strategist for creative brands that want to stand out online and tell their authentic story. I love business and branding and helping people unpack their dreams and then build them up piece by piece.

I get real real right off the bat here guys. No need in beating around the bush to break the ice here. I go deep in this episode. I go raw. I tell some things I really don't talk about much.

Because it's my story. And telling your story is something we will talk about a lot here, so I wanted to jump in and show you I practice what I preach. Also because it matters because it's what carried me here, where I am today and why I decided to start a podcast.

I want you to get more comfortable embracing your story, so here is mine. Yes it's scary to share, But I believe our stories are what create brands.
