On this Coffee Convo Sam and I discuss a time when someone told him to stop doing something. In the world of Physical Therapy this is often the case when pain or dysfunction are present. Instead of having a health care provider in their corner to help you move better with the specific pain point, patients often get the advice to just stop doing that thing.
Sam talks about a different experience with this advice, but it is applicable all the same. We all want to be the hero. But finding OUR place in the larger story is often more valuable not only to ourselves but also to those around us.

Generally speaking you need fuel to allow for a hard workout and you need fuel to recover from that hard workout. After that it’s just the secret “PICO” sauce.

I’ve been interested in Steve’s Functional Range Conditioning certification for a while now but was never able to attend any of his workshops... and this podcast was no different. Nonetheless, I enjoyed getting to know Steve’s background a little better and to know his own personal bias behind getting you to move in the safest and most optimal way. Oh, and there is a little secret he confesses as well - let’s just say it has to do with tights. Connect with Steve through his Instagram @steve_mares13
