We are (unconsciously) slaves of many things, and that is the truth. And it only takes a little bit more thinking against the walls of our comfort zones, a little bit more consciousness, to be free.
Well, here's a step to thinking beyond our subconscious and embracing the tiny steps towards a free man.

Instead of New Year resolutions, here's some food for thought for new year reflections on how we see "abundance", a word most often connoted with new year wishes.
Gramophone episodes are episodes of published written texts, read aloud for auditory experience to digest in a different way.

Coming from someone experienced in the workforce of both corporate styles and a "start-up-feel", David tells us what it's really like to be in the workforce, the self-image built, and if being treated humane is really worth it. With working experience in three different countries, David explains how the workforce climate can enslave us more than we think, with its KPI-s, numbers and pressure. Is reconciling our ideals and realities possible? how do we break the cycle? From Google to Facebook and Accenture, to a tech start-up in Indonesia; hear his thoughts, out loud.

It's the end of January and the hype of the New Year is still settling in our daily lives. As a relevant start to this year and season, we set off our footing on "Pool Deep" thoughts on hope. As a first splash (and conditioning), this episode won't answer all our questions on hope, but rather start organizing our thoughts on it.
Here is "Hope" as we start our New Year, in hopes of a better one.

As a (overdue) Finale episode for Season One of De-slaving Us, this contains all the why-s, what-s, and how-s of the un-dramatic birth of weekdayslaves, the underdog podcast people are yet to tune in to. The (not-so-underaged) creator sits, this time, on the other side of the mic, while a previous listener puts her into question. Questions include: why "weekdayslaves", where is this going, what are the insecurities, most importantly how to be featured on an episode, and many more. Hopefully, with this, the blurry picture of this zygotic podcast gets clearer.
Belatedly closing 2020 with a shuteye, and therewith, the first chapter of our De-Slaving Journey shall be put to an end.
Await a deeper, better, more mature Saison 2!

In this (long overdue) interactive STEREO episode, Evan, who sent us a voice note of his thoughts on Smartphone and Social Media (reference to episode 7) decided to join in a discussion on it. Here's another POV on social media, that perhaps was much undermined on the weekdayslaves.

When loneliness is now taboo--or over-estimated--and extroverts are the cool staple, where do we find ourselves? Sam shares his personal experience on this, including avatars, "self-hypnosis", self-talk, and his way back.
(plus somehow ASMR pencil scribbles in the background, unconsciously recorded).

You may be stuck in a rut, and you don't know it. Tiem is a uni student, trying to make his London life spicier, not knowing that Covid-19 was the spice he never wanted; somehow, perhaps to get him out of the rut. Here's to being enslaved by routine and why it's psychologically damaging.

Ambition, more than taking us to the peak, can easily take us to the vacuum 'nadir'. In an ambitious society, "survival of the fittest" isn't always the answer. Brian Melchior takes us to his personal ride and starts the conversation with questions that matter.
Here are thoughts from the stereotyped ambitious, talking about the excessive coffee cups we consume, caffeinating us from what is actually real.

Korean drama is otw to owning the entertainment market. Most become addicted, and the question is, why is it so powerful? Little do we know how much power entertainment can use to enslave. In this MIXTAPE episode, Sherise shares her experience and tips on how to #deslave from K-Drama.

In this episode, I think out loud about what freedom really means for ourselves, and what exactly does it mean to be deluded in self-slavery.

There are many things in our lives that control us more than we control them. In other words, we are enslaved to the little things in our weekdays, weekends; our "everydays", all of it under our noses. "Relaxing" doesn't necessarily need a beach getaway under the palm trees. All it takes is a little thought about it, to make us live more woke.
Here, we think about stuff. Every episode is dedicated into finding the muted thoughts and the unseen pictures of daily routine. Here are "pocket-sized" contemplations for big-time impacts. All of it, for us, the weekday slaves.
