This fall feast is 5784. The number 4 is “dalet” in Hebrew, and it symbolizes a door. This season, a door is opening in the spiritual realm, and God is bringing new opportunities to you.

But how do we wait when, in our flesh, we are impatient? Waiting can feel like the atmosphere all around us is full of tension, as if there is a build-up of spiritual activity surrounding us as we expectantly wait for a release of promises.

First, understand that waiting on the Lord has a purpose. Isaiah 48 says that God causes us to hear, see, and know new things as we wait upon him.

“You have heard; see all this. And will you not declare it? I have made you hear new things from this time, even hidden things, and you did not know them. They are created now and not from the beginning; and before this day you have not heard them, lest you should say, ‘Of course I knew them.’ Surely you did not hear, surely you did not know; surely from long ago your ear was not opened. For I knew that you would deal very treacherously, and were called a transgressor from the womb.”—Isaiah 48:6-8 (emphasis added)

If we don’t wait but run ahead of the Lord with false information, we are essentially coming into agreement with a lie and are subject to pride. The Lord wants us to break the agreement with the lie and remove pride to impart the truth, so His glory can come.

Every Seder includes drinking from 4 cups of wine. These cups are called the 4 cups of Passover.

Each cup prophetically represents something, but the third cup is unique. It is the “Cup of Redemption.” The third cup is our communion cup. The root of communion is in the Passover.

Exodus 6:6 reads, “Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.’” (emphasis added)

In Luke 22, Jesus and His apostles sat down for the prepared Passover and drank from the 4 cups. When He drank from the third cup, He said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you” (Luke 22:20).

The sheep nations are those who care for others. They are the ones who are at the Lord’s right hand. He will say to them, “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom.”

Sheep, by nature, stick together and care for the herd. They look for their shepherd for safety and security.

Goats, by nature, are prone to wander from the herd, almost as if they are in rebellion, as if they don’t want a shepherd.

Right now, we have a chance to align with the Lord and be at His right hand, representing a sheep nation, one that is blessed of the Father.

Do you know the Purim story? The same principles laid out in the Purim story apply to today.

Rabbi Curt Landry says this, “The Purim story of Esther and Mordecai is so applicable to what’s happening in our world today. There are key principles in the story that I don’t want you to miss. In the Purim story, there is a shift that happens in leadership. Queen Vashti is removed because she doesn’t follow the king’s directions. Esther is brought in and eventually delivers her people. She answers her call but doesn't know how big this calling is at the time. Prophetically, the Lord is looking for new leaders in the 7 mountains of influence. Many won’t know how big a part they will play until they step out in faith.

Let’s pray for God to raise up the leadership that will follow the King’s directions.

Creating habits and patterns that lead to lasting change can be difficult. They key is to stay persistent. There will be a lot of things the enemy will throw at you this year, specifically at the beginning of the year. But you do not need to fear the changes the Lord is taking you through.

Through this persistency, the Lord is resetting and realigning you for your promotion.

In Luke 9:62, Yeshua said, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

The plow you must put your hands to this year is persistence. Stay persistent and aligned with the words and the goals the Lord has placed on your heart, He will lead you there.

He also releases a word of encouragement, “Selah, in 2022, don’t die at the plow, push through in January! Don’t leave your family an old plow, leave them a double portion mantle! There is a word of the Lord for this year. He is resetting your clock because in 5782—which is the biblical year we are in—He will open doors in the spirit for you to walk through.

When you add up the numbers of the biblical year 5782 (5+7+8+2), you get 22. And we just started the new year, 2022.

5782 and 2022 overlap for a reason. The key of the house of David represents authority. Authority is related to aligning with God’s purpose. Authority is being released in 2022.

However, the glory of the Lord—the glory that was released during this festival—is still emanating and illuminating through the lives of Believers. Hanukkah was the moment in time when God commissioned warriors, separating and equipping them to move forward.

This commissioning has not stopped, it is gaining momentum. You can still have an anointed encounter for the Lord!

In Haggai 2:18-19, the word says that “from this day forward” (which is a reference to the twenty-fourth day of Kislev—the first day of Hanukkah 5781/2021), “from the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid—consider it: Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.”

The Bible describes Believers having prophetic dreams in the last days. We are in these last days. If you've experienced an increase in dreams and have noticed the signs above the earth, such as the recent blood moon, the Lord is getting your attention. He is going to pour out prophetic dreams and visions upon those who are positioned to receive, upon those who ask. His signs and wonders are about to increase—be a part of what He is doing!

This will be a month to overcome fears, doubts, unbelief and be delivered from past hurts—all the things that the enemy uses to darken our minds, wills, and emotions.

According to the Hebrew calendar, we are in the month of Kislev. Hanukkah begins on the 25 of Kislev, which for this year starts on November 28th.

At Rosh Hashanah, we entered into the new year--5782. This is a Shmita year. In Hebrew, "Shmita" means "a letting go" or "release."
