Peach, Please! is a podcast hosted by Katie Winnen that is dedicated to having conversations within and about the plus size community.
Hey peaches!
Welcome to the season finale with Hina "Heenise" Low! As mentioned when I brought the show back in February, I'm testing out seasons to see if that feels like a better way to balanace the podcast with other things going on. It's been an amazing 13 epsiodes and I can't wait to be back! I'm planning to return in the Fall, but be sure to tune in on TikTok and Instagram for all the upodates.
Heensie is an industry renowned personal stylist and plus sized fashion creative. She is Toronto's first plus size-focused personal stylist. She works with clients all over the globe via virtual services and her process has been described as highly detailed and welcoming to all. Heensie particularly enjoys working with clients who face confusion in their style identity and are seeking clarity around their wardrobe vision. Many plus sized folks in particular often settle for "anything that fits" and haven't been given the privilege of choice in their closets. Heensie's aim is to empower people to be radically picky about what they wear, and to curate a personal style that feels identity affirming. As a plus size fashion creative, Heensie has garnered an online audience of 80,000+ across her social media channels and has partnered with leading size inclusive brands such as Universal Standard, Girlfriend Collective, Free Label, LEZE The Label and more, to work towards encouraging a more inclusive fashion industry. She was a 2022 ASVOFF (A Shaded View On Fashion Film) Selected Director, chosen for her highly curated style guides.

Although thanks to Rona, who knows what kind of summer it'll be. Regardless, I know being plus size in the summertime can be stressful. The weather gets warmer and people are wearing less clothing. It's a lot! I brought in two of the best people I know to speak on this, Arlyne Marella and Francis Dive, and we go all the way in talking about insecurities, being comfortable, bathing suits and more!
TW: talk about weight gain/loss, pounds, physical and mental health
Here are some of the products we mention:

I am so excited to welcome Annette Richmond to the Peach, Please! Podcast!
A self-proclaimed Fat Girl, Annette is a staunch supporter of the Body Positive Movement. Traveling is her latest obsession and she has visited 19 countries in the last three years and doesn’t plan on stopping (except for a minor setback called COVID-19).
After seeing a lack of diversity and inclusivity in travel marketing and media she created Fat Girls Traveling. The Instagram profile grew into a community of over 19K that has transformed into a movement and made Annette a voice for Fat Travelers. She is also the Editor of Fat Girls Guide, the official blog for Fat Girls Traveling, and a contributor at Ravishly.
In this conversation, Annette and I discuss the ever changing relationships with our bodies, the power social media can have in that relationship, and of course, traveling. I had so many takeaways from Annette being such a travel pro, and I’m sure you will too! I know you’re going to love this one!
You can connect with Annette on her personal IG, the Fat Girls Traveling IG, her blog and Fat Girls Guide.

sips wine
I'm getting creative this week! After a glass of wine on a Saturday night I decided I had some things to say, so I plugged in my mic and hit record.
First off, I'm talking about this New York Times article, which discusses the idea of being body positive while still wanting to lose weight. What's the deal with that? I have plenty of thoughts!
Next, as if we needed one other person to talk about it, I'm also talking about why Adele's been a topic of conversation lately and how it connects to the plus size community and body positive space.
What do you think?
TW: I discuss intentional weight loss, eating disorders, weight loss, weight gain and there is some light cussing.
