This week, we lost one of the true radio icons of South Jersey. Jack Cooney, better known by his radio name as Jackson T Chase passed away at the age of 75. Originally from Norristown, T came to 1340 WMID after his service in Vietnam, joining Andy Volvo and Gary Lane on the hottest station at the shore in the early 1970s. He later worked at WAYV and WMGM before joining Dave and me at KOOL 98.3, where he did middays and afternoons for years. A man who epitomized the phrase " larger than life."
