Alright, for my high-achievers, let’s talk about why things still aren’t clicking in your relationship with food. The same strengths—discipline, routine, structure— that help you crush it in other areas might be working against you when it comes to feeling in control with food.
It’s frustrating. You’re used to getting results, but with food, your diet, feeling good in your body, it feels like everything falls apart. If you’ve ever thought, “Why can’t I figure this out?”—you’re not alone. I unpack why strong, high-achieving women often struggle with food and body image, and take it as personal failure when, in reality, you just need a different approach. Let’s get into it.

Tired mamas, let’s talk about the sleep consultant who straight-up saved my sanity. If you’re a mom who’s drowning in sleepless nights, this episode will be encouraging!
We’re also talking fitness—how I’ve finally managed to find some consistency in the middle of all the chaos. It’s not perfect, but it’s real. I’m sharing what’s helped me stay true to my promises to myself, even when life feels overwhelming.
Lastly, I chat about big news for anyone struggling with binge eating, emotional eating, or body image challenges and the new ways I can support you on your journey! This episode is a little bit of catch-up on all the things :)

Today's guest, Mary Jelkovsky, is back, and we're diving into something so many of us know all too well—feeling lost, lonely, and realizing that making friends as an adult is HARD. We chat about how significant life transitions and healing your relationship with food and body image can throw you into an existential crisis. Seriously, who hasn't asked, "WTF just happened?" or "Who am I?"
Mary gives us the tea on her journey from battling food and body image issues to becoming a self-love queen, hosting retreats, writing books, and blowing up on social media. We break down the nuances of adulthood, recovery, and the awkward "I'm lost" phase, and why building community as an adult is so damn hard.
Whether you're trying to level up your relationships, figure out who you are, or start a self-love journey, this episode is packed with practical tips, personal stories, and wisdom from two gals who are very much so still figuring it out.

A few weeks ago, I threw up a Q&A box on my Instagram stories, and one submission was an immediate screenshot and save moment: “I literally feel like I am eating so much and just don’t feel full.” (thank you to the woman who submitted it) I knew right then and there this had to be a pod episode.
I’ve been there—three different times in my life, actually—and I was clueless as to why this was happening.
So today on the pod, I chat about my experiences with this feeling, what I ended up learning about why you can be eating enough and still not feel full, and how I eventually got to a place where I could feel and honor my fullness with very little effort.

In today's episode Jessi debunks these 5 intuitive eating myths below:
Myth: Intuitive eating means eating whatever you want, whenever you want. If I tell myself that junk food is ok and no food is “bad”, I will never stop eating.
Myth: Intuitive eating means my nutrition will turn into a junk food free for all that doesn’t honor the fact that I like eating healthy and taking care of my body. Essentially I can’t be a health conscious person and practice intuitive eating.
Myth: If I don’t control food, it will control me.
Myth: I need to lose weight to feel confident because I am either overweight, unhappy with my weight, or have been told I am at risk for health issues because of my weight.
Myth: Exercise has to be hard, challenging and unenjoyable.. Used as a punishment to be effective rather than joyful movement.
If you have been wanting to move towards a more intuitive approach to food but are nervous about leaving behind some food patterns, this episode is for you!

“I was hungry to know that I was accepted and approved of”. I believe so many of us can relate to this statement. As women, we want to be liked, loved, seen and live up to the set beauty standard. In this episode, Jessi is joined by Food Freedom Online Program Client, Chaunti. Chaunti shares her experience with food and body struggles as a black woman and how taboo it can be to talk about these struggles. Chaunti discusses the lack of representation in the 80’s of individuals that look like her in the media + beyond. This episode is insightful, inspiring and emotional, Chaunti is a courageous leader. There is so much that Jessi and Chaunti dive into yet so much more to unpack, so Chaunti will be back for a Part 2!
In this Holiday How To episode, Jessi covers weight gain. What to do about it, how to handle it and ultimately, how we are so much more than our bodies. Jessi compassionately explains that arriving at a place where we accept that our body may fluctuate throughout life is a must and how overtime our bodies will find a place that it functions most optimally at. This set point doesn’t require restriction, constant effort-ing or white knuckling to keep you at a certain weight or weight range. Jessi candidly shares how she doesn’t absolutely LOVE everything about her body and how that is OK! Body confidence is about knowing that you are so much more than your body. Part of body respect is also knowing that it’s important to feed yourself no matter what, EVEN if you indulged the day before. You are worthy of feeding yourself properly and respecting yourself at every stage of the recovery journey. And trust me, once you slowly start to heal your relationship with food you and work to reprogram your brain, you will stop feeling these crazy intense impulses and reach your mountain top!
Do you turn to others' opinions and advice before checking in with yourself to see if you have the answer within you? If yes, this episode will be greatly beneficial! In this episode, Jessi is joined by public figure and life coach, Alyse Parker. Alyse shares about how she navigated through personal struggles like judgment, criticism, identity and negative self talk. Alyse provides countless tips to cultivate a healthy inner dialogue, practice nonviolent communication and how to tune into your own feelings so you can truly trust yourself.

Have you been considering a reinvention of yourself? On this episode, Jessi shares the 5 steps to reinventing yourself and why she’d rather feel fear for stepping into the unknown than to feel the disappointment of being 5, 10 or 20 years down the road and realizing that she had settled for mediocrity. She discusses what made her realize that she wanted to put herself out there and help others. She also chats about the fear and discomforts that come with admitting you’re ready to change and why you need to develop clarity on what you want.

Have you heard the news? Weight Watchers created a new app called Kurbo, which was designed for kids as young as 8-years-old. It teaches children a traffic light system to categorize foods under green light, yellow light and red light. This might seem like a good idea on the surface to help inform children about nutrition and help them make smarter choices with food. The problem is, this system mimics what it’s like to count calories and labeling foods as good or bad. However, when you understand the psychology of eating disorders and how they develop, it becomes shockingly disturbing to think about what this app could cause by setting our children up for a lifetime struggle of weight cycling and eating disorders. It’s so important that this topic receives pressure and attention it deserves so we can reverse the inevitable damage that it will cause if it continues to move forward. On this episode, you’ll hear Jessi’s thoughts on Kurbo, along with what the National Eating Disorder Association said about the app. You’ll also find out what you can do to let Weight Watchers know that you aren’t okay with this app for children.

Is your relationship with food affecting your connections with your spouse, children, friends or coworkers? As much as we think we can hide and compartmentalize our struggles, the reality is that it seeps into and affects our mood, our thoughts, our sex life, how we show up on a day to day basis, how we interact with other people and so many elements of our relationships with others. Being aware of and knowing this is a huge part of your journey to healing a disordered relationship with food and body. Jessi shares how your energy is seen and felt by others and how this affects other people. Exercise and movement should be an act of self-care, not a form of punishment for the food you’ve indulged in. Today on the podcast, Jessi shares why exercise should be a reward for yourself rather than a penalty for what you’ve done wrong. When you’re working through a disordered relationship with food, it can be helpful to know how others who have gone through the same thing have learned to work through it too. Today Jessi is sharing what she eats in a typical day and how she and her husband navigate planning out their meals for the week. She shares why boxing yourself into a restrictive diet is a disservice to your body and brain’s functions given the uniqueness of people and the types of food that they enjoy eating and find satisfying. She discusses how they split up their weekly cooking tasks, how liberating it is to not look at labels while grocery shopping and how to avoid the last supper mentality.
