The Speakers
Welcome to the online gathering & archiving zone of 'The Speakers'.
A project which is both a physical installation and process of giving-voice to the textual realm.
-Designed to occupy & transform public spaces, creating a kind of worm-hole between people & spaces, real & digital, past & present, local & global.
Here we can record & tag our spoken contributions and/ or listen through the collection.
The idea is for a moment, to put yourself in someone else’s shoes..
..and collectively to build a whole flock, or gathering of peoples experiences, which we can walk within and draw threads between.

A brief intro to how you can contribute your words and Voice into the Installation, at Oerol Festival, Netherlands, 2014.

TheSpeakers project is asking the people of Oeral and beyond to contribute words and voices into the installation.
We are asking the Question: "Tell me about a moment in yr life when something unexpectedly pervaded your day & changed it." #TheSpeakers #oerol2014
- The Answers can either be submitted via Twitter to @TheSpeakersX (#thespeakers #oerol2014) or written on paper tags hung in the trees here onsite in Oerol.
- We then ask if you can also contribute your voice by selecting someone else’s answer (not your own), drawn from the pool of answers posted both on Twitter @TheSpeakersX (#thespeakers #oerol) and on the tag here onsite and recording yourself speaking this text.. -You can record either onsite (in the installation) or online via your phone/PC into this Audioboo channel, dedicated for this project.

Please Listen to this B4 you start. 1. Create an Audioboo account, if you havent one already (its free and very easy). 2. Send me your Username and Email address (E: thor@aswarm.com), so I can find your page and allow your recordings into this channel. 4. Have a test go & have a listen. 5. Record your contributions (max 3mins per recording, but you can do several). 6. Please save/publish your recordings with the Title : The Speakers_H (space.. then your username or title). 6. In the description Box please Add these Hashtags, so we know what its about.
