From the Balkans to Rwanda to Darfur, genocide and mass atrocities have affected millions of lives over the last few decades. With the UN's Responsibility to Protect initiative in place and NGOs dedicating their missions to alleviating mass atrocities, more is being done than ever to prevent the next genocide. Still, this topic remains one of the most divisive and emotional in all of international relations.
