Brash Da Brilliant

There's a thin line between an entertainer and a rapper, in a saturated market such as hiphop, Brash Da Brilliant defies all logic, with his non stop positive attitude, quirky flow and meaningful lyrics. Tariq Jamal Martinez born on a military base in Yokosuka, Japan by Veteran parents in the Navy. His grandmother took him in as a baby in the early 90s 2 live with her in Lakewood, California. Shortly thereafter, Brash's mother finished her time in service got married and raised him along with his little brother and step dad in Southern California. The religion Christianity was the main focal point in the household, constant church services, Bible studies and retreats we're part of the daily routine. Brash learned reading by reading the Bible at 4 years old. Secular or any other music that didn't glorify God was forbidden in the household. So at the young age of nine Brash Da Brilliant started writing poetry and rhymes and picked up a violin and began taking lessons. His newly discovered love for music began to open his mind to art forms he never new existed. Naturally, Brash gravitated to the sound of struggle, culture and originality in Hiphop music. Admiring the greats Tupac, Eminem, Rakim, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent he would sneak cassetes and cds into his house when nobody was around to get his daily fix of rap music. It took a backyard boogie in California where Brash freestyled in front of a few 100 people over instrumentals and received a standing ovation to realize that he should take this music more serious and pursue it as a career. His first installment was released on Dec 26, 2013 "Eff a 9-5" mixtape dropped. The mixtape had high points and spoke of becoming your own boss and not having to settle for less working a desk job. He received slight success with his Single "Do What It Duz" getting placement on the stations Hot 102 Jamz, The Zone 88.1 FM, And Wild 98. In 2015 he created a company with his good friend "Pop Soul" called Win Team Entertainment where together they spread the good news to the world that we are all born 2 win no matter the circumstances we're going through. They use generous acts of kindness being involved in the community feeding the homeless, speaking to troubled children and their music to inspire the worlds thinking. Brash Da Brilliant aka The Face of Rap has a mesmerizing stage presence, an aurora out of this world and heartfelt music you're sure to fall in love with.
