LeftCtrl —(formerly known as PolyGroovers, or DJ Zeel, real name: Konstantin Gredeskoul) started DJ-ing in the Bay Area in 1998, having been inspired and encouraged by @djethan Ethan Miller (FnF, BrassTax) among others.

Starting with underground techno parties where he threw down Detroit Techno on vinyl), he played all over the Bay Area underground, UK and Australia.

Throughout 2000s he ventured anywhere between minimal techno, branched out into house, funky house, swing house, tech-house and progressive. His DJ sets always aim for the depth, and a smooth and deep sound, sometimes melodic, nearly always syncopated and groovy. Konstantin is an obsessively technical mixer, who admits to the most anal-retentive pitch-matching of the mixes.

As of 2010 he is a die-hard Native Instruments and Logic convert, and enjoyed ripping it up on NI Traktor S5.

Fast forward to 2021, a year after COVID: He had just spent a year learning how to play drums, and getting reacquainted with his long lost muse.

He is currently busy with his third live cover band from Blue Bear school of Music as a drummer, his third PolyGroovers album “Beats for the Journey to Alpha Centauri”, and DJing an occasional rocking tech-house set.
