The untimely death of an elderly man was the result of him consuming the one major ingredient that President Trump stated was a "game changer". The ingredient is found in FISH TANK CLEANER, called Chloroquine phosphate. His name has not been released but he unfortunately died and his wife is in critical condition.

Earlier this week, we were hit on social media with the images of teachers that were barely making it. Some of them were being quoted as saying that it’s a struggle to be the BEST TEACHER even with all of the personal struggles they face outside of the classroom. Things such as robbing Peter to pay Paul. Having the lights cut off. Donating plasma to pay the light bill. Not being able to go to the doctor office to pay their co pay because they have to make the tuition payments on their child’s college bill. It’s Professional Educators from K- the collegiate level that are experiencing this. And while this article will highlight Public school teachers, this isn’t far from the truth with those of us that teach on the collegiate level.
How are teachers suppose to be GREAT despite all of the DEMANDING requirements from Administrators and parents?

And while we celebrate Dr. King’s birthday I am also celebrating my 21st year as an educator on this day. Twenty one years ago, I became an educator as a high school chemistry teacher and I would later become a GED and HR teacher. I am currently a College Chemistry and Biology Professor as well as an Educational Consultant where I go into many schools each year to empower our scholars to become a STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Math) Leader one day! All of these accolades would not be possible if it were not for the DREAM that Dr. King had for our children. This is one of my favorite principles of Kwanzaa. Growing up, I had to recite this particular principle during our week long celebration of Kwanzaa. Our mentor would take us around from church to church in the evening to do Kwanzaa programs and we even appeared on TV during time of year. My sister and I enjoyed this festive celebration because we were able to see so many youth from around our city come together and celebrate. Retired Captain Steven L. Shipp, the FIRST African American Legendary Fire Chief Battalion of Concord, NC will share his journey of going from a Volunteer Fireman to Fire Chief Battalion during the post Civil Rights era of the 70s where racial tension was still on the rise. He was the highest ranking African American fireman to have worked at the Concord City Fire Department and the First African American fireman employed by the city of Concord to be promoted to this position.
With all of the turmoil that Mr. Shipp faced during his journey, he was still able to rise like a phoenix and pave the way for other entrepreneurs of Concord, Charlotte, and other surrounding cities. He's a serial entrepreneur that has created multiple businesses and job opportunities for the community of Concord.

CaT Bobino is working to increase the number of children of color interests in STEAM careers. She earned her Master thesis in Biology at CSU East Bay. She also works for KQED as a science education intern. She received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Stillman College.
CaT Bobino was born and raised in Oakland, CA. After living in Texas for almost 10 years, she returned to Oakland to start her career as a science ambassador. During her time back in Oakland, she has produced a short documentary entitled 'Women in STEM in the Media.' She has also participated in science festivals, career days, a youth empowerment pageant, and helped create Building STEAMs - an organization designed to bring professionals into the classroom.
