El Warren
Hi! I am a songwriter and musician who has played and recorded with SF Bay area bands that have ranged from southern rock to alt-country to psychedelic rock to post rock. I also write and produce my own guitar-centered songs. Influences include the Velvet Underground, 1970s & 80s punk and experimental rock (such as Husker Du, the Feelies, Angst, Throwing Muses), "classic rock" (Bowie, Kinks, Tom Petty, much more)and more contemporary folk-rock and independent singer-songwriters, such as M. Ward, Sufjan Stevens, the Decemberists, and Neko Case. I love music with a melodic twist, a little bit of noise, and some sort of harmonic juiciness.
