Media Swap with some light documentary action thrown in. We got a favorite artist coming around with the album pick being Either/Or and a doc about the artist Elliott Smith, 'Heaven Adores You', the movie is 'Ghost World" (2001) with ScarJo, Buscemi, Thora Birch, some customization talk, bidding goodbye to a 2XLP from a previous episode. For the movie we got a scandalous Noir revival thriller from the creative mind of David Lynch, Blue Velvet.

A polarizing film released in 2019 that these two brother-in-laws are totally into, so much so that this screening was of the Director's cut in 4K. And to pair with it, a post-punk gem in the band Joy Division. The 40th anniversary edition of 'Closer' and one of the best singles of all time 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'. Also stick around for a discussion of FOMO, one of the biggest thorns in a collector's side.

1 DVD and 1 vinyl come together to form a podcast, this week we celebrate 3 days of love and music with the Woodstock documentary clocking in at under 4 hours! I have no frame of reference when I tell you this is the most accurate portrayal of Woodstock you're gonna get. To pair up with that the vinyl this episode is from the Who, one of the standout acts that appeared at Woodstock. Their 1971 album 'Who's Next' is an album that influences music to this day and features the Who at their best. Peace!
Media Swap of a 20th anniversary blu-ray of 1989's 'Do the Right Thing' by Spike Lee and a 2016 vinyl copy of 'Black Ben Carson' by JPEGMAFIA with only 250 copies! A 30 year movie that is as relevant as it ever was today and an album that plays with the same ideas delivered via contemporary hip hop, experimental pop, and industrial sounds. D's! motherfucker! You bring your blu-ray and I'll bring my vinyl records! Our media lined up this week to transport us and the listener to Detroit Michigan, 1999! Detroit, as the motor industry which once carried the economy the city is crumbling and how it affected the citizens, represented in music and film. Jack White has since become a household name in rock n' roll but in 1999 he was just releasing the eponymous 'The White Stripes' where he blends punk, blues, and garage rock. The same year 'The Virgin Suicides' was released, directed by Sofia Coppola and starring James Woods, Kirsten Dunst, Kathleen Turner, and a guest appearance by Danny Devito. Enjoy!
Two brother-in-laws who are undeniable nerds and have large ever-expanding collections of physical media and take a night to pair their respective medias like dinner and a movie except its blu-ray and a vinyl record! For the first episode something light and PG on both fronts; Revolver by the Beatles (mono, 1966) and Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)!
